pretzel hugs
This is the easiest snack ever. And the kids will love to help. We made a bunch this weekend and delivered them to a few friends & neighbors. This was the first time that we used the waffle-style pretzels (instead of traditional). BIG hit. Much better.

1 bag pretzels
1 pkg. M&Ms
1 pkg. Hershey "Hugs"
Place pretzels on baking stone or sheet. Place a Hug on each pretzel and bake at 200 degrees for about 8 minutes (just watch for the Hugs to melt). Remove from oven and promptly place a couple of M&Ms on each pretzel, pressing into the melted chocolate. Allow to cool before serving. At room temperature, this takes SEVERAL hours. I would recommend making these the day before you plan on eating/delivering. Or you can put them in the refrigerator to speed up the process.
Note to self: I tried to experiment with the caramel-filled kisses (the batch before this one). Bad idea. It didn't work. But my friend, Karolyn, said that Rolos work. So maybe you'll want to try that version.
PS - Yes, I've put this "out there" before ... somewhere (maybe it was in a layout I published?). But not on my blog. So now it's here. : )

Now that you have shown these twice, I think this is going to be my son's treat for school. Such a kid friendly recipe! So very yummy! Thanks.
Great idea!! So cute & colorful. Thanks for sharing!!
Love these. I saw these from you somewhere a long time ago and everyone LOVES them. Thanks for sharing! :)
I think I originally saw this in your "family albums" book. OH MY GOODNESS -- these are so good! My 3 boys gobbled the first batch right up. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Aaaahhhh Becky. Use rollos and a pecan or a walnut....to die for!
Hi Becky
Great recipe! I always make them at Christmas - definately need to make this an "anytime" recipe! Thanks!
Cindy
Thanks for the recipe, perfect for my son to take to school on Wednesday!
It's in the current CK issue 'cause I just got to that page today!

I saw these in the one of your books and made them, and they are so good!!!!! Beware, you don't stop with just one, or even two...:) Thanks Becky!
I've done this with the caramel kisses and it works just fine, they melt quicker, I think so you have to watch them. Also, I use baking parchment and then they don't stick to the pan. Then I put a pecan on. Yum!
Definitely do the fridge. About 30 mins and they are good to go.
Also, we like 'em with the dark chocolate kisses. I make these at Christmas time with the red & green m&ms. They are always a big hit!
And I agree, the waffle pretzels work best.
Love those! Love the waffle pretzels, rolos and a piece of a pecan on top!
Oh my! Now I want to make those. Thanks for the temptations.
Hmmm these are making my mouth water - it doesn't help that I started Weight Watchers AGAIN today LOL. I might have to check out the grocery store to see if we can get those "Hugs" here in Australia :).
Thanks Becky :)
Ohhhh, I'm so embarassed to admit this, BUT, I saw this recipe for the first time in the "Our Family Scrapbooks" by you and Lisa B. I looked ever so closely at the recipe and have been making these ever since- they are the BEST!! We love them straight from the fridge...soooo good. Thanks for sharing, and keep 'em coming!! ~laurel
Thanks Becky, I CAN NOT wait to make these!
This is the 2nd time I've seen this recipe in a couple of days. I've got to put kisses on my shopping list! Can't wait to try these! YUMMY!
oh my GOODness! I can't wait to try that!
These would be a hit at 6 yr old's Halloween Party! (with brown and orange m-'ee's) Terrific ideas and thanks for sharing!

I am totally making those for Christmas gifts this year. They are so yummy!
How cute!! I'm definitely going to make these one day. Thank you so much for sharing - you always have the neatest ideas on your blog! :)
Yes, I saw these in "Our Family Scrapbooks" too and knew that we had to make them. I am such a sucker for sweet AND salty. By the way, wasn't general conference amazing this past weekend?
mmm, I made these last year from christmas goodie giving. And a friend gave me the version with Rolos - those were sooo good! she layered a pretzel on bottom, Rolo, and then a pecan on top. It was just like a chocolate turle -- except much, much easier. =)
These look so yummy... Thaks for sharing! :)
Thanks for sharing this! We added a twist since my daughter is learning about Bats in kindergarten and she wanted a treat that "looked" like bats...we used the traditional shaped pretzel, placed a hershey kiss on the bottom of the pretzel and used black m&m's for the eyes(from the Halloween mix). Love coming here for more than scrapbooking ideas!
