surprise scrapbook night
Had a fun scrapbook night this weekend ... thought I'd share.
One of your fellow blog readers, Deneigh, arranged to get her gal pals together for dinner on Friday. There she presented to each of them a copy of my new book with a poem attached, which basically communicated that they were going to my house for a scrapbook night. Fun, fun. The girls arrived and got right to work (I LOVE that) and even brought a whole bunch of yumminess (more recipes that I need)!

Super nice group of girls, and very talented. We had a great time. In between all my gabbing, I even managed to do a page. Since Claire is two now, I thought I better not wait any longer to do her title page (for the baby album). I love how it turned out.

In other news, the new Kit of the Month is for sale now. Another job-well-done by our good friend, Ali Edwards. Check it out when you have a minute. Perhaps you know of someone in your life who demonstrates hope, courage, and determination. This would be an awesome kit to honor that individual.
Also in KOTM news, I'm pleased to tell you that the November kit is a Christmas card kit that I designed. I am thrilled with out it turned out and will be sharing pictures soon. Just wanted to give you the heads-up since some of you are super ambitious and already thinking of your cards.

Love your title page! So inspirational right now since I am about done with my little gals first year album and it needs a title page. Just curious what stickers did you use?
I love that title page! What a beautiful baby :)
What lucky girls! That is definitely a night to remember (I hope they brought their cameras!)
Claire's title page is beautiful. I'm getting ready to make the title page for my son's 1-year old book - perfect timing for inspiration!

What a dream to have a scrap night with Becky Higgins!!!! I was checking out the picture of you and the gals trying to see your scrapbook room! Wow!!!
Wow, how did those girls luck out with a scrap night at your house!!??? Because I want to sign up! (I just need a little notice since I'll have to fly in from Oregon).
Question on the Nov KOTM. How many cards will the kit make, and are they all the same or different? I'm just about to get going on mine but if this kit would work for my needs I might just wait.
Thanks!
how cool.. and I love Claire's page :)
Just a beautiful page of Claire..
couldn't of turned out better.
I love that title page you made for Claire's book.
Oh, how do we get a scrapnight with Becky????
Also loved the title page for Claire. I have been putting mine off and now have a great idea how to do both my children.
Thank you so much for allowing us a glimpse of your life. Your pages give us all so much inspiration. Have a wonderful week.
Cute title page! I don't know if you remember me, but i used to be a cashier at your local albertsons back in the day...so fun to find your blog! :) Welcome back to AZ!
I have to ask...is the back ground your new scrap room or kitchen?? Either one, it's beautiful:))

How beautiful! I definitely need to get to work on my daughter, Claire's title page. She'll be two in December. Can't wait to see the kit for November! I'm just starting to venture into the card scrapping.
I love your page! Well, I should say I love your work. Your book is on its way to my house. I pre-ordered from Amazon. com. I can not wait! Thanks, Yanina
