another gift for you
What a wonderful response on Karlee's stuff. The randomly chosen winner is Denise Hunter! E-mail me your address, Denise, and I'll get you that little tote, possibly in time for Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas ... I wish I could bring each of you homemade goodies! But since I can't, Karlee and I want to give away another bag. This time - the market bag!! I will send this very bag to one lucky winner, so post a comment.

If you did something other than treats for your "neighbor gifts" or "friend gifts" ... I'd love to hear what you did, so mention that in your comment.

PS - love the new look of CK.
What a CUTE bag! I love it!
This year for our neighbor and friend gifts, I made homemade salsa, put it in a jar and made a cute little circle to go on top with a message and a snowflake.
Merry Christmas!
So enjoy your blog. Thanks.
I would love to win this market bag. It's adorable! Thanks for another giveaway!
Enter me in this contest, please! These bags are adorable!

For our neighbor gifts we did a "no bake" Christmas this year. I had gift bags with tags that said, "We wish you a Merry KISSmas". Inside the bags were gum, lipgloss, chapstick...you could put anything that makes kissing a little more enjoyable!
I just stumbled upon you blog and I love it. Cute, cute bag!!
I love checking your blog every day to see the fun stuff that you add! That bag is so fun!
I just did goodies, but I had a friend bring over a roll of wrapping paper with a note that said, "Hope you get all wrapped up in the holiday season!" It was a really cute idea, and useful too!
Merry Christmas, Becki!! Love your blog & neat recipes!! We just did the normal neighbor gifts with candy & cookies.
I have to say that I am very good lurker! I go to your blog every day Becky! I love your ideas and your wonderful spirit!
I especially love the way you organize your scrapbooking and I totally want to get going that way. I am a pure digital scrapbooker now (though I started traditionally)....and actually I am a digital scrapbook designer as well. I love to see all the different things that you share other than scrapbooking as well!
I have just moved to Orem, UT and actually don't know anyone yet, but LAST YEAR for my neighbors and friends...I took a layout that I created digitally...sized it down to 3"x3"...laminated it and tied charms on twine and made ornaments! I loved the idea of taking your layouts that you have done all year and making ornaments out of them...simple and fast and makes great Christmas gifts! Here is an image of the layout I did (before I created the ornament)
Keep up the great work and thanks for everything you do!
I love reading your blog!! That bag is the cutest!!
Oh how fun!
For my friend gifts, I took those jumbo clothspins, decorated the front with scrapbook papers (sealed with modge podge), stood it up and in the clip part, put a poem about M&Ms and what they mean for Christmas (on matching scrapbook paper, of course). Then I stapled a small handful of christmas m&m's in a clear bag to the top of the poem. They turned out super cute!
Love, love, love the grocery bag! I made a baking gift for my friend. I bought a beautiful blue bowl and filled it will all of the ingredients needed for my favorite brownies. I also supplied the correct measuring tools and a beautiful wooden spoon. I put little blue ribbons on every piece of the "puzzle" and it got the BEST reaction.
Oh so nice of you both and such a sweet bag! We did make treats - your peppermint fudge and pretzel hugs were a big hit, as well as personalized notecard sets. Thanks for sharing with us!
Love the bag!
This bag is gorgeous. I loved checking out her stuff on Etsy. Thanks!!!
What a great giveaway!! That bag has my name all over it :-)
Unfortunately, I have done nothing too original for friends...just home baked goodies!!
That is one killer bag.
We're finishing up our gifts to take over tonight, we made little felt stockings to fill with a Christmas story, a treat, and a "pay it forward" challenge. We'll be dropping them off in "stealth" mode later after dark. Should be fun!!
Ooh, I LOVE that bag!! SOOO SOOO CUTE!!!! Too late for Christmas shopping this year, but I know where all of my friends' gifts are coming from next year.
We did the pretzel hugs for neighbor gifts -- thanks for the recipe!!!
Love these bags! I gave out gift cards to Starbucks and the local car wash (because coffee and a clean car both make me deliriously happy)!
Love the bag! Thanks for sharing it with us. Merry Christmas!
I love this bag- and would love one for a gift for my mom for Christmas, how can I get one?
This year for neighbor gifts I am doing TAGS!! They are so cute I hate to give them away! I am using my sizzix and cricut and pretty much have taken over my only kitchen counter for the past week, but it has been so fun!! I'll post some pics of them soon on my blog- www.honest2goodness.blogspot.com
I love your blog and have loved the awesome ideas on here, I have you linked on my blog too- so my friends check out your blog and love the stuff!!
I love love love this bag!!
Merry Christmas!
-Jamie
This year, since I sell Tupperware now, I gave a big bottle of their new escence hand lotion to friends and neighbors inside a cute little felt basket that I got at Target! Very cute, just like these gorgeous bags!
Marcie
We put treats into decorated tins that they can use for years to come. Thanks for all the inpiration!!
Like someone else who posted, I altered clothespins for the other teachers at my school. Last year, I used the colorful 2 pocket folders and decorated them and put notepads inside.
Oh I love this!!! I could sure put it to some good use!!
I did children's books, the book "If you give a moose a muffin" with a muffin tin and recipe- turned out cute.
I LOVE this market bag. I will give it a good and loving home if I win it! Love your blog too!
Susanne
Those bags are super cute:)
We love a good family movie night so for our neighbor gifts, we purchased jiffy pop popcorn and a gift card to the local video store. We covered the jiffy pop circle with pretty Christmas paper and tied a big bow around the handle. We slid the gift card in an envelope, decorated it like a gift tag and adhered it to our "gift".
Love the bags. This year I made altered journals for my children's teachers. They really seemed to like them and they are something that they can use.
Bridget
we are new to our neighborhood & evidently everyone does physical labor for each other-2 neighbors teamed up & cleared drive of a sick neighbor, one neighbor snowblowed our drive & walk 2x!! we took meat from our freezer (we have just gotten our beef from the locker home)as a thank you but as for holiday gifts I have done NOTHING :( maybe next year when I know a bit more about them.
I am so in love with the bags but I love every bag that I see. Thanks for spreading a little cheer.
Maria
I love this bag!!!!
I want it...........
B
I made beer bread mix and bought coffee bags (kraft colored with a little window) to put them in. I made a decorative tag with directions and gave them a bottle of beer with it. Super easy and inexpensive.
Love that bag! I decorated paint cans this year for our neighbor gifts.
I made peanut brittle for neighbors and friends. Nothing like slaving in the kitchen for those you love, right?
Love the bag too. Does she sell them on etsy?
Cheese ball, This weekend I will be in cheeseball making frenzy mode, some years I do them for Thanksgiving instead of Christmas.
It's an easy receipe, but it seems loved by all.
I think the bag looks so cute!!
I think flowers make a great non food gift, a plant or cut flowers are a nice alternative to food.
First of all, let me say that I LOVE your new site. Please tell your brother he did an awesome job. It's such a welcoming site and I've enjoyed looking around! And...I tried your recipe with the pretzels and hugs last night. YUMMY!! I had to stand guard while they hardened with two teenage boys and a husband who suddenly wanting to hang in the kitchen!! Other than goodies, I don't give out any other gifts to neighbors although I'm considering photo ornaments for next year. I love that you are helping Karlee launch her business. The bags are beautiful! This is one of the biggest reasons that I enjoy scrapbooking - the personal side and they willingness everyone has to help each other! Thank you for all that you do in that respect and a very MERRY Christmas to you and your family.
Nice of both of you to spread a little more holiday cheer.
Connie
Love this bag! I was just looking at it this morning. I can't wait until January when my spending freeze is lifted ;)
For our neighbors we just do baked goodies - cookies, fudge, death by caramel bars. For some friends I made ornaments for their Christmas trees. I also handmade my cards this year.
Kari
I absolutely love her bags, I was so sad that I forgot to enter the drawing for the cute tote.
I made treat plates this year and added a few brownies from your recipe for the mint brownies, my new favorite! I love that you can tint the mint different colors for different occasions.
Bridget Baxter
Cute and unique bag... Love it.
I have been on Becky-scrap-lifting mode this past Christmas. I made 4 of the pebbled frames for a colleague, and 3 of my daughter's teachers. Made Nutella Rolls to share. And used Porter's birthday card layout to design the same for my daughter's 3rd birthday invitations (party's in Jan). Everyone's raving about how artistic I am and I am pointing them to you! Thanks for making creativity so accessible!

I have loved the treats that you put on your blog. You are becoming very popular with my family. This year for my friends and neighbors I did a tag book with all my favorite recipes, some of yours included. Thanks so much for all the inspiration with scrapbooking and so much more!!!

Hi Becky!
Keep the creative stuff coming. I just finished my pebble art to give as gifts. I love the new website- clean and streamlined! Just your style.
For nighbor gifts the kids and I made caramel corn and puppy chow and put it in festive plastic containers. The kids had fun trying to put both in one container, putting on the bows and gift tags! I like the idea of not giving something super sweet but enough to hit the sweet tooth!
Have a great holiday with your family!
Anna
Thanks for another chance to win! Since Karlee doesn't ship to Canada this is my only chance of getting one of those gorgeous bags! Thanks again Becky and Karlee.
We are doing our Favorite things from Canada.
All kinds of goodies with a cute little note.
LOVE the Bag!!!
Becky I love your new website set-up and just love the recipes you've been posting! Looking forward to a chance to win that super cute bag!!!
Wonderful bags! So delighted that you are doing a second giveaway...thank you! I have enjoyed "lurking" on your site and experimenting with your fabulous recipes.
For neighbor gifts this year, I did stuffed fabric candy canes with the "Christian Symbolism of the Candy Cane" attached with twine. I'll include the permalink to my blog page with pictures.
Thanks for all your fun, inspiring ideas!
http://mcillecespot.blogspot.com/2007/11/candy-cane-neighbor-gifts.html
I always do treats because that is what I like to receive!
The bag is awesome. Can I have it, please?
I did the homemade treat thing for some of the neighbors, but for the elderly neighbor that has diabetes, I snow blowed his sidewalks, driveway and walkway. It wasn't much, but we live in Iowa and have been bombarded lately with snow and ice lately, so it was a relief to him not to have to worry about it...and I got to burn some extra calories!
Love this bag! Sorry, no cute ideas for neighbours and friends - we do treats every year! But for teacher gifts I make a set of hand-stamped cards.
Hi Becky
I love visiting your blog, thanks for sharing all of your wonderful ideas and yummy recipes!
This year for my girlfriends, i bought clear glass ornaments, filled them with pink confetti, found pink glitter stickers and put their initial on the ornament then tied off with cute pink ribbon.
Love the bag!
Yasmin
Hi,
Every year a family in our our neighborhood (not always the same family) will host a Christmas open house. We will all come and bring one plate of treats to share and then just visit for an hour or two. This takes the stress out of making 10 batches of goodies and is so fun.

(Who is Leonie? Every time I try to post a comment, it shows up as her and not me.)
So I checked out Karlee's website/blog. She has a lot of cute stuff. Best of luck to her as she starts her new business.
As for gifts for our neighbors and my son's Sunday School teachers I put all the ingredients (minus the egg, vanilla, and butter) into an adorable glass container. I made cute tags that gave the instructions for the cookies and a personal note of thanks to each person receiving the gifts. EVERYONE has really enjoyed the gift and looks forward to making some hot treats.
Thanks for your blog. Hilary Austin
Love this! I ordered my first Karlee bag this morning and am hoping to get it in time to use as a Christmas gift for my MIL!
We just had our first big snow of the season, and we have elderly neighbors, so we shoveled their sidewalks and driveways! I also usually do custom calendars for friend/neighbor gifts (purchase a kit from Shabby Princess and customize with their photos) - that is always a huge hit! Haven't gotten my booty in gear for that yet this year, though...where does the time go?
Love, love, love the market bag! SO cute.
This year, we made santa cookie plates to give. I bought cute holiday rub-ons from the craft store, and some plain white ceramic plates. Rubbed a santa on the plate - off center. Then rubbed a design all around the edge. I wrote (with a sharpie) next to the santa design "Dear Santa, We've left some cookies for you to eat, so sit a spell and rest your feet. Love, The _________" and put the family's last name on them. (I also included a note with it to let them know to only clean with a damp sponge or cloth.) Also, since we have several school age kids, we made little treat bags for them to give to their friends. We put mini-marshmallows in a bag and tied it with ribbon. Typed up a note with a little snowman on it that said "You've been naughty, so here's the scoop. All you get is snowman poop." They were a big hit!
Becky, What a cute bag. I checked our the website and I especially love the kits. I am learning to sew and this year made an advent calendar for my nephew. So far I have sewn pillowcases, ornaments, and am now starting on a baby quilt! :-) So much crafting and so little time! Happy Holidays and God Bless.
That is my favorite bag you showed! So, so cute!
For Christmas I did a few different things since I have a wide variety of "families/friends" on my list- some people got little jars of homemade apple butter (did two different kinds, caramel apple butter & marionberry apple butter), all my employees got plastic popcorn boxes that I found at $1spot in Target with micro popcorn & jr mints in them, and for all my single friends & son's preschool teachers I did "mug cakes" It's a mug filled with a special cake mix and a glaze mix with instructions on how to microwave the cake in the mug. :)
Merry Christmas everyone!
Would love that bag for a diaper bag (due in March)...look forward to seeing more posted on her Etsy site!
Along with treats, we are giving neighbors a very easy paper ornament. I got the idea at
http://www.designspongeonline.com/2007/11/diy-wednesdays-modern-paper-ornaments.html
Every scrapper has extra paper on hand. I loved using the double-sided pp I have. Similar effect to your hanging red balls over the counter and the kids can help. Check it out!
The market bag is my favorite. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful ideas with us, Becky!
For neighbour gifts I give a jar of my homemade chocolate sauce and a jar of my homemade jalapeno cheese dip.
Monica
LOVE the new look!
OK, I am supposed to be finishing my neighbor gifts as I type... instead I am goofing off in front of the computer...
I enjoy making homemade treats. This year I made a marbled bark and some "human" reindeer food, packaged all cute, fun, fun. My daughter and I will also make some Reindeer Food for each of the neighborhood children (oats, glitter, direction card, etc.) which will also go into the goody bags.
Cute stuff Karlee!!
Happy Holidays all, back to work for me. Carmen
I bought BIG candy bars for each of my coworkers. I took the wrappers off then copied the wraper pattern and used cute scrapbook papers to make new wrappers and gave each one a candy bar. Cute and simple.
LOVE THE BAG!!
Cute bag! Would be fabulous to shop with.
B&B works soap is my standby gift for all those extra people I might forget. I decorate it with lots of ribbon.
Love the bag and Karlee's creations so much! :)
CUTE! I would LOVE that bag!!
For our neighbor gifts this year, I opted out of homemade goodies after we tasted a yummmmmmmy pineapple from Costco. We bought a carload, tied them with our photo/card and brown ribbon and delivered them to our fun neighbors! :o)
Oh such super cute bags and accessories. Love them all.
We made the pretzel hugs and they were a big hit. I also made wine labels with all my digi scrap stuff and am giving some bottles of wine out to our friends and neighbors.
Darling bags. I'll have to check out her website and get me some. Thanks for the info.~Samantha
Cute bag! Thank you so much for sharing Karlee with us! ;)
Thank you Becky for all that you do...you are a true inspiration!
Merry Christmas to you and your family...and may you have a truly blessed 2008!!
A friends gift...I have a friend VersaMark watermark in and UTEE. She is a scrapper/card maker but did not have these items yet. Nice to be able to spread the joy of scrap products. I have placed an order with Karlee already.
Karlee is very talented! You picked my favorite bag to give away. I love that market bag!
Thanks for sharing her beautiful work! I hope I win, but I'll get one no matter what! Thanks for the opportunity! Fondly, Mehgan
Beautiful bags! What a great talent Karlee has. I've been looking for a unique new bag. I'd love to win one!
What a cute bag! It's a nice way to "go green" and look cute doing it!
I LOVE that bag! We've been taking handmade ornaments to our neighbors with an invitation to join us at church on Christmas eve. Thanks for all your inspiring ideas!
Jody in Michigan
LOVE this bag. I'm making my friends ornaments this year. Clear glass ornaments with a monogram inside stamped on transparency. I'm hoping they love them!
Love your new blog Becky. YOU ROCK!!!!!
Mary
Love that bag! I have a personal blog that my friends and family use to see what we are up to. I put out a challenge to everyone to RAK someone everyday throughout the holidays. Simple things like buying the coffee for the person in the drive thru behind you, or shovelling a neighbor's walk. Everyone is doing it and it has been just great.
This bag is too CUTE. I think I will ask Santa to bring one to my house. ;)
here's my post... Hoping I win this one, it's SO cute!
So love this bag!
I did clear glass ornaments with their last name on it- used rubons and then put glitter over the letters and curled christmas paper to put in the inside. They turned out really cute!
I love that bag Becky! This is Jessica (from Surprise) Love the new blog too!
My "friend" gift I give ( I also gave it to the girls i'm over for activity days) Is a brown paper bag... Yes there is more to it! :) On the outside it says "DO NOT OPEN until all the other presents under the tree are opened... I'M LAST" And inside is a small baby wrapped up in muslin with jute tied around it. And I put a note that says something like " Now that all the presents are open take a minute to remember the true meaning of today... My birthday." I love this! It puts the day back into perspective! Have a good day!
This Christmas I did handmade jewelry for my close girlfriends. Bracelets, necklaces, earrings. They seemed to like it.
Love Karlee's bags!
Laura T. in AL
I love that bag, and your blog/website. I've tried many of your recipies as well. Our local natural foods store has been selling baskets from Anasevillage handcrafted in Norhtern Ghana. I have been picking up little baskets as gift for teachers and friends. They make great gifts and support the women in Africa who make them (www.anansevillage.com)
Just one quick question, How do you organize your patterned paper?
Thanks!
Cindy
Wow! These bags are so cute! Any the washing macine part? AMAZING is all I can say! I can't wait to check out her website!
I am so excited about these bags... I LOVE her fabric choices! FOr our neighbor/friend gifts we made mini recipe books and Fresh Christmas potpourri. You just slice up oranges, lemons, limes and sprinkle whole cloves and cinnamon sticks in the mix. Wrap it up in cellophane with a cute tag and there you have it. It smells so good simmering on your stove and lasts approx. a week.
Karlee is very creative! I love her designs and the fabrics she uses. Very talented!
I missed the first giveaway so many thanks for doing another! How awesome. I really wanted to do something extra special for a non-sugar coated gift, but really ran out of time. So I just whipped up some Chocolate Covered Toffee Popcorn, put it in a long cellophane bag and tied a ribbon around. I did make the time to create homemade tags though....gotta love the MM tag maker! By the way, I love your pantry! I saw just a sneak in the floating ornaments picture. I should have known better that your whole life is that organized...So inspiring. Merry Christmas!
I just love all the fun ideas on your blog! This year I made small 1/2 pint jars of jam. I made enough to give a sample sack of 2 or 3 to each neighbor of different flavors. Fun to do and it was done months ago so now all I have to do is wrap them!
Love the blog--and we went caroling with your hugs and pretzels as a family on Sunday night. (Although my husband just stood there, but alas, he went!!) My 4 year old and 7 year old can't wait to do it again! Thanks for the inspiration!
Sara
Oh my gosh, how cute are those bags! Thank you for doing these wonderful giveaways! Lucky girl whoever receives that darling bag! Amy in MN
Hi Becky. I love your website and check it everyday. I'm a big fan of your work and use your sketches all the time.
We were hit by a big ice storm last week here in Oklahoma. Power was out for days, and some still don't have any. My power was restored, but the storm has put me so far behind in my holiday preparations. I usually bake for friends and neighbors. This year I'm going to get cake mixes and cans of frosting, tie them together with ribbon, and attach a note that reads, "Roses are red. Christmas is sweet. I'm really behind this year, so you'll have to make your own treats!" I got the idea from a scrapbooking website I visit. I think everyone will get a kick out of it, and they'll all understand too!
Have a great Christmas.
These bags are awesome! We recently moved to a new town and our neighbors are the BEST! Our gifts to them this year are decorated paint cans filled with a sweet and yummy snack mix. Have a wonderful holiday and thanks for inspiring us with your fun ideas.
I love the your blog and the bag!
Oh.my.goodness. I love the bag!
I like to give out the little ceramic "gift bags" filled with candies.
I love to give oranges with cloves to neighbors, teachers, etc. Not sure if they have a name, but I take a fresh orange and poke whole cloves into it to make a design-- maybe a word like "Joy" or repeating diamonds, anything. Then I tie a ribbon around the finished orange. They smell SOOO good. To make this project more kid friendly (poking the cloves into the oranges can hurt little fingers) a child can use a nail to pre-poke a design-- or the adult can pre-poke the design and let the child fill it in.
My friends and family are all getting the same thing this year. They are all getting a small tin (lunch-box size) full of all occasion cards, that I worked on this month. There are cards ranging from valentines day to st. patrick's day, christmas, thank you, get well, birthday and of course the just because card. On top of that, they are all getting some home-made goodies :) I am actually from germany so I made some "german cookies" :) I had fun doing that, and I sure hope they will have as much fun with the cards :)
That is gorgeous! Love the ruffle! We did decorated Altoids tin with a little album from shabbyprincess.com and a gift card inside. SO fun!
Oh my gosh are those bags awesome! Totally lovin' that market bag!
thanks for posting all your finds, creative ideas & inspirations! I love checking out your blog! That bag is ADORABLE TOO!
