new website
My website is up & running & fully functional! Check it out at www.beckyhiggins.com.

Right now it's quite simple & slim, but at least it's a landing place in cyberspace for anyone interested in seeing my "stuff" all in one place ... my blog, my products, a bit of my background ... and even a new recipe blog where I will now post any & all recipes that I want to share (not here anymore).
By the way, my brother Andrew is the talent behind my website - making it work, making it pretty, making it possible to show up on your monitor right now. He's done a fantastic job, and I'm grateful for his work on this project.

CONGRATULATIONS!
It looks wonderful so far. I must say, your new & improved organization helped already. My daughter needed a Christmas "cookie" for her AWANA Christmas party cookie contest tonight, last minute. I quickly found (thanks to the recipe heading) your Peppermint Fudge. It was my first time making fudge -EVER and I bake quite a bit. As it turns out everyone loved it and she won the competition. Thanks for something simple, in our house it may be called Last Minute Peppermint Fudge.
As for the website, love it & truly look forward to the tips and sharing.
Have a very Merry Christmas!
Congrats on the updated site. It is beautiful!!
Hi Becky!

Thanks Andrew for such a wonderful job well done! It just looks great Becky. Love how you split everything up. Yeah!
The new website is great. I came to your blog yesterday looking for the peppermint fudge recipe and I got a little frantic because your blog was down. BUt, then I discovered the new recipe section. I totally love it. Thanks!
Logged on last night and was soooo pleasantly surprised with your new look! It is great! Love the new format - especially the recipe section!
Thanks for sharing your art and your life!

I love your new paint! It looks great! I especially love the recipe section.
Great website. It was great to learn more about you. I'll keep checking back for new stuff.
Kudos to Andrew it looks great! Thanks for all your inspiration in the kitchen and in my scrapbooks.
Andrea
PS My mother in law made a last minute request for hand made gifts for Christmas. Going to try and do the ornaments you showed with my kids. The only problem is I can't find large page pebbles anywhere. Any website you or anyone else could suggest? I unfortunately don't have a local SB store. I'm going to use crystal effects in place of the pebbles, wish me luck! :)
Hi Becky! The new website looks great, congratulations!
I made your peppermint fudge yesterday (though it almost killed my 11 year old cheap chef-mate mixer - one of these days I'll be able to afford a nice stand mixer!). It was a big hit at our bible study Christmas party last night, and I'll be taking it to our business Christmas party on Saturday. My kids had fun with the mallet & peppermint candies :).
Love the new site, easy to find things! I was wondering, could you talk about your album choices? I always thought post-bound albums were the easiest to view, but it looks like you prefer the ring album. Inquiring minds need to know...
That looks great and I love that you have the recipes in one place! Yum!
This looks amazing! Beautiful, clean and easy to navigate. I'm so excited to have your recipes all in one place, too.

Hey Becky,
Wanted to let you know that I tried the Peppermint Fudge recipe and it's very yummy. It took a bit of adjustment, because we are metric in Australia and I have absolutely no idea about ounces! I also had to check that powdered sugar and icing sugar are one in the same, which they are . . . thanks to Wikipedia for the translation.
I'm taking it away with me this weekend for a family Christmas get-together, I'm sure it will be a hit.
Thanks
Karen (Melbourne)
I love your new website design! The various sections are really helpful. I have already used your Recipe section to make some Pretzel Hugs with red & green M&M's for my co-workers.
Love, love, love the new website! Right before you changed I was trying to find the recipe for the pretzel hugs and gave up. Now it's so easy to find!!
Thanks Andrew!!
Your website looks great, Becky! Your brother did an awesome job. I'm enjoying looking through all of your recipes. Those chocolate-oat bars are calling my name, and will be perfect for my get together tomorrow!! Thanks for always sharing with your faithful blog readers!! Lots of blessings,
~Samantha
Hi Becky
Love the new website it's great. I have a question for you, when you do a page on say christmas do you do a page for each of your children's albums as well as your families?
Thank you
Rach

I love it! I have a question. I want to make the frame you did of Porter in the Jan issue on pg 46. So stinkin cute! Where did you find a 13X8 frame?
Is there any other Australian's out there that still have not got your Holiday Card Kit like me? Your feedback is appreciated.
Hi Danielle, I live in australia, I didn't order the card kit (missed out), but I did order 3 books on 23/11/07. According to the order history, they have not been despatched yet.... I have tried emailing CK but no reply.
Hi Becky:
Just wanted say your website looks AMAZING.
Andrew did a fabulous job.
Marta :)
Hi Becky! Your new website looks awesome! I just wanted to stop by and say that all my cards are out and I am getting great feedback on them - people love them! And I did let them fly with the 41 cent stamp and they have worked fine. Also, when people were saying there was a punch out in the JOY cards, I punched out the circle and threw a rhinestone in it and it was so cute! Keep the inspiration coming! Amy =)
Wow! I love the new design of your website. Your brother has done a fantastic job. Thank you for making it easy to navigate and I think I am going to love the recipe section!
Susan
Becky, I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful free "goodies" that I received recently after ordering your card kit & winning one of the 12 days of Christmas drawings. The foam stamps are amazing - can't wait to use them, the organized & inspired scrapbooker book is great, but of course my favorite gift was your book of sketches. Your sketch ideas are always on my scrapbooking table & now this new book will take top honors! Thanks for making someone like me with no artistic talent, able to create beautiful scrapbook pages with the help of your sketches. Thanks again for the goodies - it was such a wonderful surprise!

Looks great! I actually really like the "simple & slim" look! It suits you :) I too have already made quick use of the recipe blog! It's holiday baking day here and I REALLY wanted to make the pretzel hugs and peppermint fudge! So thanks!
danielle in Australia I posted this under the postage for card comment section, but will repost it in a more updated post:
reply I got when contacting CK: "We apologize, there was a delay in the shipment of this item. Generally for us to ship to Canada we ask to allow 3-4 weeks. We apologize, we are unable to track in item that leaves the United States. Please advise us if you do not receive your kit by December 21, 2007. We sincerely apologize for any delay or inconvenience this may have caused."
Dec 21...I paid for my kits Nov 1 and in case you don't realize the 21st is 4 days before Xmas (with 2 of those days being the weekend). There will be NO TIME to make these and send them out.
I so did not realize that there was a year printed on some of them. I'm sorry, to complain on here publically, but I see no way to personally email you.
I am VERY VERY disappointed with this whole situation.
I was excited to see the new look! It's very easy to get around and also very eye-pleasing. Is that corny??? Anyway...just wanted to add my two cents that it looks great =)
Love the new site....
Question:
I was wondering if there is a cute way you display all of the Christmas cards you receive during the holiday in your house?
IT LOOKS VERY NICE! :)
Hi Becky,
I have a question for you, which I am always trying to figure out, but never quite can find the answer: Do you ever worry about the amount of albums that you make each year, that it may too much? I am filling an album every 9 months, so when my son is 18 years old, he will have 20-25 heavy albums to carry around, then if I make 20-25 album for my daughter before she is 18, plus family albums, vacation albums, etc etc, well, I just worry that it will be too overwhelming for them. Do you ever worry about this? Have you found the answer?
By the way, I do like you website :-)
Thanks!
Nikki
Hi Becky!
GREAT WEBSITE!
I do have a question for you, one that I think about often, but I can't quite figure out the answer:
I have one boy and one girl. I am filling an album about once every 9months. That means each child will have 20-24 albums by the time they are 18 years old. Add to that family albums, vacation albums, etc etc, and I do worry that what I am doing is just TOO MUCH. Right now I have about 40 completed albums because I've also done heritage albums, ABC albums etc etc. Do you know how many albums you have and do you worry about this like I do? I really appreciate your thoughts on this.
Nikki
Love your new web site. I'm inspired by your organization techniques. I wish you would write a book on how you organize your entire home, not just scrappin' stuff (although I love that too!) We are building a new house and enjoy peeking at your color/design you've used in your own home. Merry Christmas!
Hi Becky,
Sorry I posted the same question twice. It didn't seem to work the first time that I posted, so I had to start all over again. Thanks,
Nikki
it looks really wonderful!!!!! warm and comfy and happy and so very YOU!
whoo hooooo rawk on Andrew!!!!!!!! :):):)
