well, that just stinks.
This is what I get for leaving my art within Claire's reach.

Little stinker. But it's an easy fix. You can see what this USED to look like (and what it WILL look like again, as soon as I fix it) on p. 72 of the January issue of CK. It's a fun project to do with a child ... or on your own, of course. There's a fun homemade tic-tac-toe game idea on that same page and I loved getting that back from CK recently, because Porter was totally into playing it today.
Thanks to those that have shared pictures of your hanging ornaments/snowflakes/etc. Love seeing the different ideas!
Several of you asked about the organizers in our pantry. The company that makes them is Shelf Reliance (and the product we got is called "CanSolidator"). We got these at Costco earlier this year. LOVE them.
If you had a hard time downloading my Excel file (layouts-to-do) from my last post, just e-mail me (bhiggins@ckmedia.com) & I'll get that to you.

Oh no! I think that is the hard part about leaving project around kids...oh well. :-)
I feel your pain! I have posted a warning on my blog because my friends and I made a Thanksgiving one and I have re-done mine THREE times becuase my 19 month old kept tearing it apart. My Christmas one is now up high where he can't reach it!
Oh no..you have to watch out for lil hands. But glad it is a easy fix.
Oh no! It happens at my house too (16 mo). I loved your floating ornaments yesterday. We have floating snowflakes at our house. We make them out of coffee filters, they're very light, so you can just tape them to the ceiling. Can you tell me what color paint you used in your kitchen? We're building & I'm having such a hard time deciding. Thanks!
That's sooo funny, Becky. My husband's friend came over this weekend and pulled on one of my glass pebbles on my project, and it came off!! He felt awful. He said he thought they were little magnets or something. The paper didn't tear, so it should be an easy fix. Gotta keep them away from big hands, too ;0)
Thanks for the info about the can organizers. Going to look into that today.
Hi Becky
So glad things like this happen at other people's houses too!! Sometimes, I feel like the only one!
Thanks for sharing!!!
Cindy
o.k. Where do you get the glass pebbles. I've been looking for them since she posted that project a long time ago. Our Target doesn't have them (at least not in the scrapbooking section~are they in a different section of the store?? Where else can I get them??
Kimberly (post above) -- you can get the pebbles in Target in the home decor section. Our Target had them near the glass vases and things. Hope that helps!
Oh No!! That is awful!! I have 2 sets of little hands (4 and almost 3) they love to touch EVERYTHING!! Glad I'm not the only one!! :)
On a separate note, I had commented regarding the Christmas card set earlier. Just wanted to let you know that 41 cents got all of them to their destinations!! And everyone raved about them. A couple people said that the pic was a tad scratched from the brads (will cover with clear tape next time)!! Oh and I printed my pic as wallet size to make sure that it was under weight limit.
Thanks again for the kit and all your inspiration. Oh and one more thing..I believe in the 12/7 comment section, someone suggested you writing a book on organization. I second that motion!!
Thanks!

Hmmm... I am guessing that Claire was under David's "supervision"? It's a good thing she is so cute!! Give her a hug for us.
hehehehehe! Kids are funny. They love to rip things apart, don't they? If it's in reach, they will do some kind of damage to it. :) Once, my son took a stick of butter out of the refrigerator and wrote all over the kitchen with it like it was a crayon. I wonder what goes through their little kid minds. Probably "hey this looks like fun!"
Thanks for sharing Claire's handywork. hehe!
Kris
awww... I too know the pain of kids "appreciating" our art...
I love reading your blog! You always have such great ideas or tidbits~ Thanks!
This is primarily to the canadians that have ordered the christmas kits, have any of you received them yet? I still haven't.
Becky, your floating ornaments are beautiful, keep up the good ideas.
Sorry to see your project handled by little hands but hey that's the stage we're in, too cute!
Carolyn
That stinks, Becky! I feel your pain, though. I have a very "curious" 3 year old at home!! She's too fast for me!! I agree - you NEED to write an organizing book!!
This is hilarious! Love the aspect of real life here. :)
By the way, I figured out the answer to my question that I posted in Nov. about figuring out how to get muliple images on to one 4x6 "canvas" for printing. It helped that I got out my "Computer Tricks for Scrapbookers" book p.53..that helped with the concept, if anyone else was wondering. Didn't want you to have to have to take the time to answer since it is a complicated question.
Becky, you are seriously the most organized person I have ever seen! In the spirit of that wonderful organizational talent, would you consider organizing your blog entries into categories, say, in a column on the right side of your blog? I check your site frequently and it would be great to be able to pull up all of your recipes with one click, for example. Other categories might include "Home Decor," "Scrapbook Techniques," etc., etc. You put so much great stuff on here and I would hate to see any of it get buried in the archives! Just a thought!
Quick note from Atlantic Canada. Just wanted to let you -- and all the Canadian ladies out there -- know that I received my KOTM today. I'm going to put the cards together after dinner, and get them in the mail tomorrow. Have hope, girls, yours may arrive in the nick of time, too!
Hi Becky,
I received your KOTM a few days ago and it is awesome. I can't wait to put it together and send it out. My only complaint is that I ordered 2 and received only 1. I am rather upset that they are sold out as I can now no longer get the 2nd kit that I ordered.
I agree with the other ladies - a book on organization from you would be great.
Suzanne (Australia)
Love all your ideas. Especially happy to see a celebrity scrapper that keeps her albums in chronological order. Whew! Thanks for sharing.
Hi, I was looking at the Chicago CKU class schedule, and realized you are not mention... You will attend, won't you? I'll go from Mexico and, since you are my favorite sacrapbooking cel, I was looking forward to meet you.. so please let me know, thanks!
Hi Becky!!
To Becky and all the other canadian ladies I FINALLY received my 2 KOTM today!!!! Yahhhhhhhhhh. So excited but won't be using them this year as it was too late. Next year of course.
My suggestion next year would be to PLEASE make the christmas card kit for October...that way we can all enjoy it's benefits. It's really cute Becky, good job!!
Carolyn
Lil' stinker was my nickname as a child and my family even gave me a ceramic skunk to fit in my printer box...a fun memory from youth...
Dear Becky, I posted a comment on your blog on 6th Dec regarding my disappointment with your Card Kit. And although I know your not personally to blame that I still don't have my kit, but when I asked for your reply regarding my comment it would of been nice to get one.I have been promised by your CK Customer Service that the kit would arrive 17th Nov and then the 5th Dec and still I do not have the kit. My credit card was debited for $40.71 AUD $23 of it was for postage back on 2nd Nov. I am assuming that due to me having to send my own bought cards due to them not meeting their overseas desination in time, that there will be some refund of postage cost. Iam hoping that you will read this and give me some sort of response and explanation as to why this has happened. And if you do decide to do another card kit next year that maybe they should be sent out in October. From a very Disappointed Customer (Danielle)
I love to visit your site, and was surprised today by this change! I love the new website!
Your new website looks great, I especially like the "about me" section. Now that its all new, though, I can't see any pictures. There's just a box with an x where the pictures should be. Do you know why? I see other blogs and this is the only one that X's out the pics. Thanks!
Alice
New look on the blog is FAB.U.LOUS.
To Danielle, you sound like me!!!! I have been in the same boat. I just received my KOTM's yesturday but not knowing when they would finally arrive I went and bought store bought cards as well. Very disappointed. CK has given me the run around as well and the kicker is when I finally got them...they were postmarked Nov 28th!!!! 28 days after ordering and paying for them.
Have faith, it's disappointing when you don't get a response. I paid for UPS and it came by mail???? $27 is shipping and the cost on the box was $12.75!!!
Good luck, I too agree it should be sold in Oct:)
Carolyn
Lovin' the new look of the website. :0)
Love love love the new website!!!
Just LOVE,LOVE,LOVE everything you've done to the website. Can't wait to see more. So organized.
Love the new look of the blog...What language was that earlier today when things were "under construction"...German perhaps! ;-)

I agree with the other gals who have commented on your NEW website Becky! I LOVE it as well. Very nice job. It is fun to try and keep up with all of the 'goings on'!
Love you......Mom
Becky,
I am planning to attend the CKU in Chicago. Are you teaching there? I have to admit that "You" will have a great impact on my decision making. I really love your scrapbooking style and have used your books in most of my layouts. Therefore, I want to reserve attending the CKU where you will be one of the instructors even if that means travelling. Can you tell us where you will be teaching next? BTW, after 1 week of hard work and 2 ink cartriges later,I finally finished my Christmas album. It is 15 years of good holiday memories with my husband and family. It made my 2007 Christmas so much special bec. of this. Looking at the finished album brought tears in my eyes as I look at the pictures of some of my family who's not here anymore. Thank You SO MUCH for the inspiration and sharing your album with us. You are such a wonderful person. God Bless You.
Grace
Hi Carolyn, Thanks for your comments glad you got your kit. I live in Australia, is that where you live, if so fingers crossed I'll get mine soon.
Are you going to take it up with them about the actual cost of postage compared to what you paid? Sometimes its just not worth it. Can't say I'll be lining up to purchase anything from CK in the near future.
I'm sure you friends will love their cards. I'm now hoping it won't cost me more than normal postage to post the cards, now that would be icing on the cake.
Kind regards
Danielle
Hi Becky and Grace(leeza898),
I too, would love to know where you are planning on teaching next year as I would like to take a class from you. I have been tentatively planning on attending CKC Mesa in April but it would be great to know before booking flights, etc. (I'm from British Columbia).
Love the clean look of the new site by the way!
P.S. So cute seeing your Mom's comments here :)
Best wishes for a Merry Christmas,
Heather
It is good that you can recreate this project. All the projects in the CK Snow Day article were amazing!!! I bought some glass pebbles to make my own glass pebble art.
Oh no! That is something that I will have to look forward to when I have kids someday right? LOL
I made my own "art" work for the first time ever, tonight...thanks for inspiring me Becky! If you want to see it, its at www.laceyanderson.blogspot.com (its under the "projects" link or the entry titled "iCreate". I love it! Thanks again! :)
