san francisco

That’s where I’ve been this past week. I joined my favorite “techies” (David and my brother, Kevin) for Macworld conference & expo. This is the ad that has saturated the city:

And this is what surrounded me at the conference:

Thousands of Mac fanatics. Mostly guys, as you can imagine. So I was feeling a little out of place in my red sweater and plaid purse.

Or maybe this guy was feeling more out of place than me. Maybe.

Never thought I’d be found at a conference like this. All I have known are scrapbook conventions and CKUs. But you know what? I learned a few things about Macs. Got to play on the new MacBook Air. It’s a pretty little machine. Holy cow – can you believe how thin it is?

And I got to see some demonstrations of the features that Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 has. Ultra cool. I’m so getting that.

We had so much fun going here, there, and everywhere in San Francisco. Fascinating city, and we haven’t been able to spend this much time there before. Glad we did. And always, ALWAYS glad there are talented artists selling their work. : )

Side note: Some of you have asked where I get my jewelry. Honestly, much of it has come from street vendors in places that we have traveled.

Alrighty. So I’m back in town and have loads (of laundry, e-mails, work) to catch up on. Including many of your questions. I’ll get to that. I really will.
