love one another

[ little item of business ]

If you have e-mailed to order my DVD and haven't heard back, I just found out that the e-mail address on my website was wrong. Sorry about that. We will correct it on the link. The correct e-mail address for ordering the DVD is scrapbook@cust-serv.net. You can also call the toll free number (1-800-632-3403). I called myself and know that it's working. If you missed the information about my new DVD, check out my Dec. 28 post or click on the Products button above.

[ love one another ]

This display is not only fun for the Valentines theme that some of us are thinking about already, but a daily reminder to love one another.

So I'll leave you today with a thought: Are you upset with someone? (Don't tell me. It's just a rhetorical question.) Take a load off your shoulders and let go of unkind feelings. Just love that person. Life is too short.

[ ps ]

I added the text on my pictures using Adobe Photoshop. You can likely do this with any photo editing software. Maybe you can add a quote or scripture about love on one of your favorite "love" pictures. Then print it and display it for the Valentines season. Or for much longer. My display is just a plate rack and the pictures are in "frameless frames" (that's what I call them ... not sure what they're really called). I got mine at Pier One Imports. Also check your local craft store or shop that carries frames.

Becky,
I love this idea! I have a plate rack with an empty spot because one of the plates got broken. I now know what I'm going to put in the empty spot's place!

You always have great ideas and you've started great traditions for your family. Soon after February's LOVE holiday is Easter (here in the US). I'm sure you've got some crafty traditions for Easter too...would you mind sharing? Thanks - love, love, love your blog! It's quite inspiring.

LOVE the plate rack idea and the photos are timeless.

On another note,I saw your new scrapping space in the feb issue of CK. I LOVE your new Scrapbook room space!! Would you mind sharing where you bought and the namebrand of your cabinets, bookshelves/cubes, etc. I'm in the process of trying to organize my "space", AGAIN. Would love to get it right just this one time.

Great idea. I will definitely try this on a wall in my living room that has nothing on it because it was sort of an akward space. This would be perfect. I ordered your DVD a few weeks ago and can not wait to get it. Thanks for having such a great blog. I have used so many of your ideas and recipes! Do you know if QVC will be the only way to get the CKU at home? I know I would never be able to go to the real thing, but I would love to get the at home version.

I was thinking of having mine done on canvas but they will not fit in the plate holder very well. But! I have my pro lab print them, mount them on gatorfoam, and then spray them - no glass involved and much safer for display in high traffic areas or a small child's room.

Becky -

Thank you so much for responding to my question regarding the dvd. Ever since I read on your blog that you had the dvd I have wanted to get it - when I did not receive a response to the e-mails I sent I even looked to see if I could get it on Amazon, ebay, etc.

I sent another e-mail tonight so hopefully I will hear back soon.

Thanks again (so much) - also love your display - and I am going to take your advice and just let the anger go. You are a daily inspiration to me - love reading the blog.

Hi, Becky! I love the idea. It's great.

On another note, I noticed that you often use circles on your cards and layouts. The layout featuring Claire and you in the february issue of CK is one of my favorite. I don’t have any circle punches yet and I’m planning to buy a few soon. Which sizes do you use the most? Which ones should I get first? Which brand do you prefer?

Thanks a lot.

Becky,
This is so, so cute! I love that you did these in black & white.
On a side note, I just purchased Photoshop CS3 and have been trying to find either a good on-line class or good book for someone who knows nothing. Any suggestions on how you learned would be helpful. I've even emailed Jessica Sprague b/c she does online classes w/ Photoshop Elements but she said there is not enough interest in classes for the full package. Thanks! Teresa

I just love your blog! You always do such wonderful things and are always so uplifting and positive. Thank you also for sharing your talent. I have ordered your DVD. After a couple of days of not receiving a reply from the email that I sent, I called them. The first girl that I spoke with seemed to not know what I was talking about. So, I called back and got a cute girl named "Amy" and she got me set up. I look forward to receiving it! Have a great day!

Hi Becky! I love your new blog and its content! Thank you for sharing. I was wondering if it was possible to have a FAQ section? I'm sure you get the same questions all the time and I know you answered some of them in previous posts. Info like type of cameras, online film processor, photo editing software, computer, scanner, chrono albums etc). Thank you so much! Thanks again for all you do and share with us! I love your style!

A simple yet stunning idea. I love the black and whites.

I linked to your Lisa and Becky Rail System in my blog post today about our art table. It really helps to keep us organized and looks great. The ribbon spool holder is especially nice.

Also, I made the Garlic Chicken Farfalle last night. So delicious and easy (just the timing is important). Thanks for the inspiration.

Becky, I love the plate rack idea. Hoping to find some pics of mine good enough to display!!
On another note, I am attending a 3 day retreat with friends in one week. Any ideas on a little treat bag/goodie bag or "croppers survival kit" or any other idea that would be small I could do for each of the 15 croppers.
Thanks so much, Love your inspiration and simple, yet creative style!!

Becky,
Just wanted to say that I just got your DVD yesterday and watched the whole thing. I LOVED it thank you. Your scraproom is BEAUTIFUL! How do you have time to stay so organized? What an inspiration you are. I also loved all the different albums that you showed. I would love to do a family history album and an album about myself. I would love to see more of your home decorating ideas as well. I would also love it if You and Lisa and maybe some of the other girls at CK would come out with a book that shows organization techniques for your scraprooms and scrapbooks. You could call it...Creative Spaces or something like that. Keep blogging, I love the website and the recipies! I'm a true fan.

I have a question about photography.
What settings do you normally prefer-auto, manual,etc...
Do you use a flash or prefer natural light?
I have a new camera and am trying to figure it all out!
Thanks.

I downloaded a trial version of PSE 6 and did this! I printed it in 5x7 through walmart.com and when I went in today to pick my order up the lady behind the counter greeted me by my name! Hmm I must go there often! Then she said "Oh my goodness I love your pictures I have never seen anything like it!" "They are really good!" I said really let me see! LOL! Thanks Becky!
