easter baskets

Today the snowflakes came down and these sweet Easter baskets are now the hanging above our bar in the kitchen.

I first hung ornaments for Christmastime (see 12.7.07 post) and then snowflakes for the remaining part of Winter (see 12.31.07 post). For some of you, especially in colder climates, it feels too early for Easter. But it's merely 25 days away. And besides - we're well into the 70s here in Arizona now and our kids have already busted out the sidewalk chalk. So we're all about closing out the Winter here.

Oh - and those baskets? Got them at Target ... in the "dollar spot". Can't beat that. : )

Oh my gosh! I would love to have 70 degree weather right now. It is in the teens here in Iowa...a cozy 16 degrees as I type. The baskets are so cute...I would like to do this in my kitchen once we remodel. Thanks for sharing!

Question for you...how do you hang your items...what do you use to anchor the baskets?

Thanks for the info...:)

Becky,

Loved the easter basket idea. I do something similar over our staircase. You can check my blog out to see what I did for Valentines Day and St. Patrick's Day decorations. It really makes our house festive and my little guy loves it.

I was wondering when the snowflakes would come down. I just took mine down too, because we are moving and I think they kept making the snow come here in Flagstaff. Your basket idea is really cute. they must be pretty lightweight. Target is such a weakness of mine.

Love it! So when are you going to be doing a recipe contest? I have a really easy and yummy recipe I make called Easter Hunt Pie or the marinade for the beef tenderloin I make, yummy!! I've already been thinking about the Easter Party menu, I am so ready for Spring!!!
It's cold here and very windy in VA feels a little like March with the winds.

Thanks for sharing.

Love the baskets! Dontcha just love the dollar spot at Target?

Have a great day!!

Love the baskets. We're still experiencing a bit of winter here in the mts. of NC. No snow but very cold air!

What a cute idea. My husband has been in Phoenix on business this week. My jaw dropped when he said it was 75 degrees! The high temp yesterday here in SC was 50, with lows in the 20's. I'm ready for spring!

You have to go to www.thecompanystore.com and see the eggs...they would be so cute hanging. I just ordered them! I think Pottery Barn totally copied them b/c they have been around forever and the stuff is amazing! The Company Store
