I love your work and this kit is amazing. Looking forward to future kits from you. I love genealogy and organization (apart from scrapbooking). I'm a list kinda girl and sometimes I feel we could've been best friends if we had met. I'm from Argentina but living in MD at the moment so that's another thing that reminds me of you. Thanks for all your ideas! Your kids are adorable! I have a Dora fan as well :-)

Hello Becky,

Thank you for showing us the ideas! I'm one of the not so lucky ones that missed the kit, but so looking forward to getting it soon!!

It is so great of you to do these video clips for us! I'm a stay at home mom of 2 boys, and it's nice to see you're just a regular mom like me (with the little ones coming in and Dora becomes a priority, ha!). Well, you have an AWESOME scrapbook room (way better than my little 12x13 room, but hey I have a room now, so I'm not complaining! :o) and of course you have such a CREATIVE TALENT, but hey 1 out of 3 ain't bad. We're moms that love our children and want to preserve and help them preserve the memories!

Looking forward to future kits of yours!! Just a thought for a kit, (which I also submitted on Lisa's KOTM feedback link) is a Year in Review kit. Say 12 double page layouts that are just that a year in review type deal.

Anyway, thanks again for the ideas and great inspiration you provide! I'm always reaching for one of your Sketch books for a boost!

HAPPY DAY!!! I'm so excited I'll be able to get some kits! I have manila folders of "stuff" from each school year for my 3 kids (ages 6, 9 & 14). And most of their school photos I haven't scrapbooked yet. Just what I need! YOU ROCK!!!

Great to see more layout ideas. It seems very easy to put together because of all the precut elements, but we can also do it in our own exact style. I pictured having just an exclusive school album, but I also like the idea of intermingling the pages with their regular scrapbooks-the beauty of using those awesome 3 ring binders of yours is that it's easy to change your mind and move things around if needed.
Thanks for great, simple ideas!

Hi Becky,

it's great to see that all of the people that missed out will get a chance to order them again. Only this time I hope that they will ship internationally. Any comments on that?

Hi Becky, I am really excited that your school kit will be re-released. I love your work and your style and you are a wonderful example/guru to the scrapbooking world. Can you please make sure that international shipping will be available an as option, esp. to Australia. Perhaps you can consider a pre-order option that way people don't miss out and that you have an idea as to how many you should get printed. Take care.

Becky -- Yay! I've totally been waiting for "a little more about the school kit!" :) TRIPLE LOVED the video blog! Loved seeing the sample pages, and SO excited for my kit to arrive! You're awesome!

I was also excited to learn the answer to an organizational question that I'd had (asked in the first comment to your final blog post on Friday, Feb 1st) about the way you plan to organize your own children's albums when you are using the contents of your school KOTM. And your answer was that you plan to intersperse the pages throughout the years of their chronological albums, rather than keep a dedicated "school" album for each of them. I think this makes a lot of sense. (By the way...HOW LUCKY are Porter and Claire that they have the super-talented "BECKY HIGGINS" carefully documenting all of their precious childhood memories??!!!) :) Thanks so much for sharing all your ideas! I think it was actually VERY SMART to design the kit in this way (loose pages / pockets), so that there is much more flexibility. I had suspected that might be the reason that a binder wasn't included to contain the kit into a single school album. This way, as you said, it should be able to work for any of us, no matter how we choose to organize it -- BRILLIANT! Even the albums of siblings within the same family can be totally individualized and unique --, and need not look like cookie-cutter versions of the same kit for every child (like the books with only the fill-in-the-blank pages). How cool is that?

And I'll agree with the previous posts that a year-in-review kit would be a good idea for a future KOTM! Another idea might be a Christmas Album kit--?? Just a thought. Thanks for all the great inspiration! You always give us so much to think about!

Becky, Thanks so much for bringing the School Years kit back! I cannot wait to get one! I really enjoy all the awesome ideas you share on your blog; you are so talented and your work inspires me. Thanks for all your great advice and responses to all the questions. It's so helpful! Becky,
Thanks so much for the kit! I missed ordering b/c I hesitated as to how many to order! It makes me sad, though, to see that so many people purchased them just to sell on Ebay when there are so many of us that tried to order! Can't wait for future kits! A 'family year in review' would be great! Thanks for all you do!

Hi Becky,
I was one of the lucky ones who was able to score kits for my 3 children. I don't think you should limit how many kits a person is allowed to purchase. I have 3 children and wanted 3 kits...and I was able to purchase that many.
It is WONDERFUL that you and the people of the KOTM listened to everyones needs and wants. THANK YOU for all that you do. SoOO looking forward to your future kits!! I LIKE THE YEAR IN REVIEW idea too...

ps am still waiting for the Becky Higgins CD from the CD club...for those of you who received it, does it really take 6-8 weeks to receive?

Thanks again for all your wonderful ideas and inspiration. Especially for us mothers who are trying to do everything else under the sun and just need a little time to scrap!

Have a great day!

There are some FANTASTIC ideas being posted for future Becky KOTMs! I would be very interested in a YEAR IN REVIEW kit, as several others have said!

Here is one more idea...a Bithday (or Age) Kit for each year of childhood (and maybe beyond) -- designed similarly to the school years kit -- no binder, just loose pages that could be inserted into a child's album(s) throughout the years. But rather than how the school years KOTM has a page set for each school grade, it could be a page kit for each year of life (maybe up to age 18 and then maybe "milestone" birthdays after that --21st, 30th, 40th,...etc???) And in the same way that the school years KOTM has the stickers and prompts for school related things, you could have birthday party details, gifts received, milestones reached that year, goals....? Would that be TOO similar to the school years kit pages?

I was just thinking it could be another type of kit where the pages could just integrate into current albums already in progress. I just LOVE your idea, Becky, about using the pages YOU designed as a base or framework that could then be built upon and expanded (but wouldn't necessarily have to be) as a complete scrapbook of chilhood.

And for those scrappers who plan to use ONLY your page kits as "IT" for their child's enitre scrapbooking, as you said on the video, then an ages/birthday-type kit would allow people to start from birth instead of only beginning at preschool. Just a thought....

For your future KOTMs I'd love to see you keep designing page-kit KOTMs that could be based on other themes but could continually be added into that basic framework that you started with the school years kit.

(SO SORRY this post is sooo long! I had trouble trying to explain this idea in just a few words! Your designs just spark so much inspiration!!!) :) Whatever you do, I'm sure we'll all LOVE IT!

Hi Becky,

Would you do me a favor and tell me how many inches the spine is on the We R Memory Keepers Albums? I can't find any info. on the size of the albums other than 12x12 and so on! I have some Pebbles in my pocket ones and didn't know if they were the same size as the We R ones!

Thanks Becky,

Love that these will all have a sense of continuity in design. The kids could do these pages in my L-Os while I do most of the others. I think they will really like it! I am so exited it will include both stickers and chipboard elements. How fun!

Love AEs combination of pen weights in her journaling to help guide the eye through journaling without adding more embellishments. i want to try that. I hardly ever use both ends of my pens. My fine end tens to dry out fast unfortunately on my Zigs. I need to find a way to rehydrate those babies!

Thanks so much! I can hardly wait. My guest bed will no longer be a fire hazhard with all those school papers under there. Gee, you may save someone's life with this!

Becky -
This is my first time posting, but I just had to comment.
I really hadn't paid much attention to the school kit because I am not much of a "kit person" and my daughter is only 2 1/2.
But when I saw the examples today where the kids actually did their own pages, it really excited me and I watched your video.
Now...I need this kit!
And I am afraid, since I don't always get to read your blog everyday, that I will miss it again! Is there any email notification for when the kit is available again?
Regardless of whether I get the kit or not, it still offers alot of inspriation for doing school pages...thanks!

Becky,
I watched your clip on one of porters books. Thanks so much for sharing. I have a quick question, that you might be able to address in one of your future blogs. I notice that Porter & Claire have thier own scrapbooks then you have family books. How do you decide what to include (or not) in the kids' books? Currently I only do one for each of my kids, but am missing out on the family album aspect, and am really confused! Any input you can offer is greatly appreciated!

I just found your blog and now I'm addicted. I love love love your sketches!! It's my favorite part of CK!! Thanks for all of your ideas!! I can't wait to purchase the school kits. My daughter is only 5 months old but I am planning ahead;o)

I have a question: What do you do with all the cards you receive? For example birthday cards, congrats cards etc. I have all these cards from when my daughter was born and I don't want to keep them but I cut out all of the sentiments that people wrote. I want to scrapbook them but I don't know how. Especially since the pieces people write aren't straight or all the same size. Should I just toss them?? I'd hate to do that because I think my daughter would someday like to read the thoughts of people she may never know.

Great questions above! I would love to know the answers to those, as well! (The one about how you decide what to include in your family album vs. what to include in your kids' albums... and the one about what to do with the cards you've saved on which people have written sentiments) THANKS Becky!! Hope you'll be able to share the answers with us!! :D

hey Becky- do you have any idea what crazy people are paying for this kit? I'm not sure if you have ever been on ebay or not, but on ebay people are playing over $100 for this kit! if you want to see, go to www.ebay.com then search "becky higgins" and wow there are tons of kits that people are selling and it is amazing what they are going for! I love this kit! but I did not order it because I'm an 81/2x11 scrapbooker and I don't like 12x12, I know it is crazy but I just love 81/2x11 and I have my albums the same way you do, my kids school pages are done in order by year along with all the other events from that year. Anyway- I love your products, I just thought you might take a look, I'm not sure if it is upsetting that people are buying your products to resale them and make money or if it is flattering. but I thought I would let you know.
have a great day!

I really hope you will consider re-issuing this kit.... I'd really like to give it as a baby gift! I bought 3 for my kids but I wish had bought more. This one that the idea of people having it for one child and then not being able to get it when they have a second or third baby - well, it makes me sad!
