sold out & customer service info

Woah - lots of blog posting in one day, I know. Just want to stay in touch with you guys. Let's take care of some business first.

Should anyone experience customer service issues at any time, I wish I could help you individually, but I'm really useless. So e-mailing me will not get you very far. However, this is what you can do: If you have ordered the school kit and you need someone to look at your order, call 888.247.5282. If you have a general comment, question, or you're missing a piece or something, you can e-mail Vivian at the CK office: vgrothe@ckmedia.com

Now ... I know some of you missed the chance to buy the kit. Trust me when I say we honestly did not expect them to sell out so quickly. We're all surprised (and delighted, of course) but that doesn't help those of you who couldn't get it. Trust me - we all wish we could have been able to predict the demand for this product.

You know that my blog is the place to come for any & all updates on any projects I'm involved in. I WILL keep you posted.

Now go on. Get off your computer and have a GREAT weekend! : )

Organizational Question: Becky -- I may be jumping ahead, and maybe you are going to address this question on one of your later video postings, but I just had an organizational question that I was wondering about....I know you've told us in the past that you keep chronological albums for both Porter and Claire, so.... if YOU were to use your OWN school KOTM pages for Porter and Claire, will you create them into SEPARATE "school" albums for each of them, or would just just integrate the pages right into the appropriate places in their chronological albums -- therefore spreading the pages out into many years of albums? (in other words, intermingled among other layouts with themes other than school layouts?)

Wow Becky,

Sold out in one day!! Good for you!!

I ordered two kits this morning, not even seeing that you couldn't ship to Canada!!! I was so excited to see it finally up I quickly read the first bit that said it wasn't available for shipping right away and I figured who cares, I just want to get my order in! Then I was thinking, I should get one more for my niece and that's when I saw it...no international shipping!!! OH NO!!

I did send a question to customer service and understand it is out of your hands, but please please please look into getting more of these kits for those of us who missed out. I have been waiting forever, like many others!

Thanks!

Totally sad that the kit is already sold out. I waited for this kit for so many months. How is it possible that it's still Feb. 1st, and this kit is already gone? I'm just so disappointed.

Becky...This was by far the most disappointing day ever...I waited until the minute my husband walked in the door to show him the kits before I spent $250 on them and we went to hit pay and it rejected because they sold out just then. I cried...I actually did on this one. I waited for so many months for this and this was going to be an answer to how to keep up scrapbooking with four kids. I venture to say there are SO many of us who want it. I alone wanted six or seven. The other kits have been wonderful but you only need one love story...with the school kits WE ALL have been to school and all of our kids will go through school, hence I think we needed triple the amount of these!!! Anyway, please, please look into more. I would personally help with this project and begging the manuafacturers for you. I wish we could have seen what the kit looked like yesterday (the movie convinced my hubby) so that I could have bought it first thing this morning....Great job on the kit. I especially LOVE the memorablia folders...I am just so bummed on this one...

ok...well I vented above...so thank you...So, if you can't get the kits again, can you maybe get the folders with the tabs somewhere? That was my favorite part!! ;-)

Good organizational question above. My kids are in 1st grade, preschool and I have an almost 2 year old - so this kit came out just in time for all 3 of my kids. One other question... when you have the larger art projects (like they often do in preschool) do you normally photograph them, then toss? Or do you actually keep originals. So far I've kept everything, but I can see for 3 kids this might get a little overwhelming! Congrats on such a successful kit! It's exactly what I've been looking for!! YAY!

Becky,
Congratulations on a your KOTM! Wow! Sold out in less than a day! I recently found your blog and find it so inspirational. Thanks for all your organizational tips and scrapping inspiration. I love your style and I've really taken a lot from what you've shared. I can't wait to receive the kit and start scrapbooking again (just returning to the hobby after a long long break). Will you have postings of your completed pages on your blog or on the KOTM website? Again, thanks and congrats!

Becky, Thanks so much for all of your inspirational ideas! I, too, missed out on buying the 4 KOTM I wanted to purchase. I know it is not likely that they will be re-offered again. My question: Would you consider designing a similar School Years album in te future (KOTM or not)? i know it would be an amazing seller and would be very appreciated! Thanks, Christina Simon

I didn't get the kit although I thought it was completely amazing like all of your work. I just didn't have the money to fork out right now for all 5 of my kids, but I really like the idea of the folders. I'm gonna have to scrounge around and see if I can find some there. Even though I didn't get the kit...which once again, I thought was awesome, I just wanted to thank you for the inspiration of the whole thing. I just saw a link on a friends blog telling about how your coveted School Kit was out of stock, and I said to myself, "I KNOW her!"
I saw Kevin a while back and talked to him. We live in Pleasant Grove, too. Anyway, just thought I'd say hello, and that it's fun to see what's going on in the Allgaier and Higgins family thru your pages in CK magazine. We have a little blog too, if you'd care to stop by:

Hello Becky! Congrats on selling out in very few hours! But PLEASE say you will be ordering more in the future for all of us that missed out, but not logging on first thing! Please!!

I had so been waiting on this kit! Saw the ad in CK magazine last summer saying it would be the August KOTM and when it wasn't I immediately sent an email on Lisa's website questioning what happened to your school kit.

I would hate to end up buying the kit on ebay because I'm sure that is where a lot of the Sold Out kits are going to go! There are currently listing for the Greatest Love kit, the Stamp Set kit, the Travel kit and the Courage kit. I just hate that someone goes on there and buys up lots of kits and then sells them on ebay at around $75-100 per kit!!

Maybe you could sneak a pre-order type deal on QVC for Monday's big Paper Crafting show. You would have mine and probably all of these other ladies orders on there! Maybe work out a deal with the manufacturer. I'd even be willing to pay $49.95 if you did something like that. Just a thought!

Keep us posted on our wishes :o)
Thanks and keep up all of your great talented work! Pam

I'm very disappointed when I see most of the KOTM that are sold out(like Dec kit) maybe people that buy a lot of them and posted on
e-bay from $80-$120 per kit- "a price that most of us scrapbooking's moms can't affort..."
Hope see this kit or similar one back again...

OK - I have a mystery for all of you - right now on e-bay, there are two of Becky's school kits on sale. As of 6:26 p.m EST they are both going for $66. First of all, they haven't even been shipped out yet, and second, one of the sellers is in Alaska - I thought one of the glitches with the KOTM program this month was that the kits couldn't be shipped to Alaska!!! Is it just I who is totally??

I was curious and went on E-bay also. I couldn't believe on the KOTM's on there when you search "Lisa Bearnson". There are kits from Dec. and January also, very hightly priced - crazy. Is this even legal? It definately does not seem right.
I noticed one of the school kits on there also and the only thing I could figure out was that they will take bids and then ship it when they actually recieve it. Seems very "oily".
After reading comments on the December and now this months KOTM I am beginning to think maybe all it does is foster bad feelings and resentment - definately not what scrapbooking is about. Maybe instead of KOTM's where there is such a rush because they do sell out and so people feel compelled to buy it NOW. CK could make a bunch of different kits and just have them for sale continuously. I don't know....just thoughts.

Please reconsider making this kit available again! I would order 3 myself. I checked early on the 1st and it only had the January kit available. I went to work, came home to find it sold out. So bummed! Is there any way that we could get on a list to get first option to buy more if you decide to make more? I think that we would all appreciate it! Thanks for all the inspiration! Please keep us in mind when considering ordering more. Thanks!

The purpose of the KOTM is to offer great products at reasonable prices for people who have a passion for preserving their memories. Unfortunately, what is happening is that people who are looking to make some money are purchasing these kits and reselling them at outrageous prices on e-bay!! It is really quite sad!!!

Becky, of course this is not a reflection on you at all...it's just a sad state of the world that we live in. Becky, you remain a constant inspiration to so many people - your passion for your family, your friends and your life in general is admirable!! Please don't allow this to get you down at all!! I have been waiting for months in anticipation for this kit to finally become available for purchase. Seriously, if there is anything you or the staff at CK can do, PLEASE bring back the "School Years" kit for purchase! I love your style. To add to April's comments above either ask E-bay to not allow CK products to be sold or in this case where the School Kits have not even been shipped just cancel the persons order - don't charge her card and don't ship them to her. It is just one gal who has 3 kits for sale (so far anyway).
I also agree with another comment that it is like scalping - should not be allowed.

I was lucky enough to get my kits, but what is the difference between this kit on EBAY and Superbowl tickets that went for thousands... people are willing to pay...look at Hannah Montana tickets, my sister paid 1,000 for 2 tickets...what's the difference...this is CK problem not EBAY. I am sure CK will do something to fix this...if people are mad they should be mad at them!

{Sigh} So sorry I missed this kit. I'm never offline this long, but actually was away from the computer from the 31st until last night and missed this kit. Drat .. . looked like a really good one.

I feel for those that missed out - that was how I felt when the foam stamps KOTM sold out as I was ordering!

My fave part of the School Kit is the PPC pockets! I know we can't keep everything, but those pockets are such a great idea! I'm hoping that they might be available separately at some time...

Thanks, Becky for such a great kit! Congrats on your 1-day sell out - your kit was (obviously) much anticipated!

Hi Becky-

Congrats on KOTM! I agree with a lot of the gals. Do you have a waiting list? If so please put me down for 5!

Why not allow scrappers to "pre-order" special kits. That way, you'd know exactly how many you need...which would solve A LOT of problems.

Just a thought...

Becky,

Is there anywhere that I can purchase your Baby Pages book or was that a one time publication for CK?

Thanks,
Heather G.
