powder bathroom organization

Since you're asking for more organizational tips, I thought I'd share this.

This is inside our powder bathroom closet. This bathroom is right off our family room and our garage, and therefore definitely the best place to reach for last-minute hair styling, especially for little Claire. Originally, all her hair stuff was getting thrown in a couple of of baskets sitting on the shelf, which resulted in me taking too long to find what I needed in a pinch.

The solution: Glass jars. Easily found at Target & WalMart. The picture is self-explanatory as to how I have each type of "thing" in each jar. Simple. Works for me!

Note to anyone who may have a question regarding your KOTM order: Please contact Viv (vgrothe@ckmedia.com) with your questions, as I am not able to directly help you with customer service issues.

Thanks for the idea, the linen closet here was build around the chimney so it has awkward shelves, but perfect for jars...Thanks again

Hi Becky - this is an awesome idea!! I have a similar problem with my girls' hair things. I LOVE this idea...it looks great! If someone doesn't have shelf space in their closet, another idea would be to hang a clear shoe organizer on the inside of the closet door and store everything in there...

Keep the tips coming, Becky!!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I read that and I was like "duh!"
My two girls have tons of hair things and I put them in shoe boxes. While they stacked up well, I couldn't see thru them and still had to dig for the little things.

Thanks again!

That looks very cute! I don't have the shelf space, so I took all my daughter's hair things and put them in baggies based on color. Now in the morning, I just have to say "Grab the pink bag" and she can choose what she wants in her hair from that bag.
Hope you're feeling well!

Becky, I really need your help! I absolutely love all of your stuff--which I happen to own. I was wanting to order the school kits but hadn't decided how many I wanted. When I got back on there to actually order, they are saying "sold out"! I am crushed! I really wanted these--at least one, but really more like five or six. Is there any way I can still get one? Can you give me info as to who to contact? I truly appreicate your time and help in this and I especailly love that you share your TALENTS with the rest of the world. You are amazing.

I had a doll head made to match my daughter with matching long braids that I put all her clips on hanging in her closet...we all love it and easy to find and match at the same time.

I wish you would do more scrapbook stuff on your blog. Thanks and hope you are feeling better.

We organize our girls hair supplies the same way - except we use wide mouth Mason jars. You can pick these up at most rummage sales this summer...for those who want to save all that extra moeny for more scrapbook supplies ;) Thanks for sharing Becky! Love all your ideas!

I just got my school kits and am sooo excited! I remember you hinting that you would have another kit in June. I thought it might be school related so didn't want to start on my kits until I was sure. I emailed viv @ ck and she said you would be the one to know about any KOTM you are doing. Any news since one from you definitely didn't come out in June?

Thanks for the great idea... I am a renter with a serious lack of "usuable" space in my bathroom.. I love the fact that these can sit on the bench and look decorative as well as being useful!! Off to IKEA for me..

I would also like to thank you for this quote on one of your other links.. For some reason (maybe all my medical history) it touches my heart.

"Appreciate the past. Make the most of the present. Live for the future."

Hi Becky, I've read through many of your comments and many people have requested the 'school kit'. I have emailed Viv and she said the kits are sold out. I know many have asked before, but I am dying to know if you and/or you and CK will be selling these kits again in the near future. I would love 4 of these kits but don't know how to get them. Please email back at: coachgloria@gmail.com Your work is phenomenal and your following is huge. Please help your fans ;) Gloria.

Love the kit Becky - I just got my 2 kits last Saturday. My girls graduate from high school on Friday. I have a lot of catching up to do, but I am glad I procrastinated this long, because I love the kit. The pockets are the best. I cant wait to get started. I hope you make lots of the July kits, because I can't wait to get one. Keep up the great work. I love your ideas.
