mini album

The talented Maggie Holmes put together this birthday mini album for her son, using stuff from the school expansion kit. There are a lot more pages, but I'm sharing just some of them so you get the idea.

You'll want to click on this image to see it larger. By the way, good for Maggie getting this party scrapbooked so soon after it happened. : )

I love how she used the library pocket sidways in the album to hold "notes from dad". I also noticed the notebook of paper from the kit bound into the mini album- maybe'I'll use the notebook as the mini album. Fun ideas- Thanks!

Becky,

Love all the cute examples you are sharing. Is there any chance you need ideas for more kit of the months?? If so, I have one I would LOVE to see, and I'm guessing others too. I'm a big fan of how you do a page a month during baby's first year and think it would be awesome if you could do 2 kits (girl & boy) with 12 layouts for the first year. Let me know if this is something you would consider doing. It would save me years of scrapbooking, literally! Thanks!!!!

I got my kit in the mail yesterday and I LOVE it! I was most impressed by the quality of the cardstock (12x12 paper). It's very sturdy paper and I knew I would love the wooden stamp! I never ordered the original kit but am so glad to have gotten this one! Would love to see more finished page examples! Thanks!!

I loooove the ideas, well done Maggie, I feel so inspired after looking at all the ideas. Well done with all the journalling, something we somtimes tend to forget to do.
Wish some of those freebies found their way to South Africa :-)

Cute booklet. Becky, I love the kit, I had originally bought 1 to
go with 3 school kits I have. I
loved it so much that I ordered a
second. Love the metal clips and
epoxy stickers, the library cards
and love the notebook paper (especially that you gave us a lot
of it). Thanks for all the samples
you have put up this month. Cathy

Random question for you. I am still working on buying my 12X12 albums. I want each of my kids to have their own color, and the family books to have their own color. Manufactures change what they make all the time. Did you buy a ton of them ahead of time in case they discountiue your colors... or what do you do? Thanks for ALL your tips- I just read your entire blog- there's a lot of good stuff!! I love the 12 days of Christmas... Thanks

Becky:
I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart. My childhood photos have been buried in my Mom's basement for years and my sister had most of hers in a box labeled: "Too old to scrapbook". I took one look at the School years kit and thought; I could do that!! I called her up, we made a goal, we bought both the SY kit and the expansion pack and we spent thurs-sat this last weekend camped out in her livingroom watching chick flicks. I have already done 6 school years (14 two-page layouts) and I just appreciate your creativity so much. I discovered that my son looks like me @ 18 months and a flood of great memories have returned. I would never had attempted this without the kit. Thanks a ton!
