more fun examples

I love hearing all your comments about how much you're enjoying the school expansion kit; that's awesome! If you're one that's been on the fence about ordering, it's not too late. Go here.

Of course there is more to share. Today I want you to check out some of what Wendy Anderson has whipped up with stuff from the kit. Notice how she used those library-style journaling cards for more pictures instead.

And here they are, labeled and tucked in the pocket:

I love Wendy's use of every little product on this page. The paper, letter stickers, torn-out decorative paper (behind the small picture), photo turn, metal clip, ribbon ... all of it. And the date stamp! I love how this becomes a decorative element on your page, while still being totally functional, since dating your memories is a great idea.

Maggie Holmes did a fun mini album with the stuff too ... I'll show you that tomorrow.

thanks for all the ideas... even if the kit is a little pricey for me to get (as postage to NZ makes it out of my budget) I am loving all the ideas and examples. If I had one wish it would be for you to market that absolutely GORGEOUS date stamps so that we could all use it - it is the most beautiful thing I have seen and I would love one. Any chance you can forward this suggestion onto the fabulous 'Kit of the month' team. Thanks Mandyb all the way from NZ

Does anyone know how long it normally takes to get your kit once you've ordered it?

Beautiful and crisp - love it. Wondering if you'll ever sell that sharp little date stamp all by itself? They would make cute little favors or gifts. Think about :)

Hi Becky,

This kit is wonderful and so versatile. I can use this kit for school, camping, teenage photos and just about anything else. I'm debating on ordering another one, since it's such a good deal.

To answere Emilie's question, whenever I order a kit, it's usually comes on Fed Ex in 3 business days and I live in Michigan.

Thanks again Becky for inspiring us! Can't wait to see more examples.

Well, this might be a little off topic, but has anyone heard back from vgrothe@ckmedia.com about the typo in the school kit? I have emailed her 3 times now and haven't heard back. Thanks for the update!

rachael,
I emailed Vivian twice about the typo. When she emailed me back she apologized for the mix up and said it would be about a month to get replacement pockets.

I couldn't put my finger on what I loved so much about these school kits until it hit me - the colors and prints are clean and solid. So much of the papers, etc. see these days has a weathered, faded or blurred look to it. I can never figure out how to make those types of patterns work for me - I love the CLEAN look of everything in this kit. I have the expansion kit on order, but unfortunately didn't find out about this blog until recently so I missed on on the original school kit. I'm bidding on one of the original kits on ebay at the moment, so wish me luck! My DS#2 starts Kindergarten in the fall, so this is great timing for him!! Thanks Becky for a great kit!

I love all the ideas. I would also think Shimmerz paints would be great on them too. Have you seen them yet. I love all things shimmery and glittery. Go to http://shimmerzpaints.blogspot.com and see how cool they are. I'm using them all the time.
