oh, baby ... you want this kit!

A little bit more information for you to think about over the weekend ...

[ WHAT'S IN THE KIT ]

All this stuff is what you get! Want to see details? That's coming soon. But click on the picture for a larger view.

[ BOY OR GIRL? ]

Both! You'll see what I mean when I show you more soon. In the meantime, just know that even if you are pregnant and don't know what you're having, or you want to get this as a gift for someone who doesn't know what they're having ... you'll be all set. Yay for that.

[ A LITTLE BACKGROUND ]

Remember when I did the original school kit earlier this year? I wanted to keep Porter's school stuff organized well in his scrapbooks and nothing "out there" met my needs or had the look I wanted. So I developed that kit out of necessity, knowing that thousands of other moms were faced with the same challenge.

As I approach the birth of our third child, I have been facing another challenge: Creating and "keeping up" with his baby album as we start taking hundreds of pictures and collecting tons of memorabilia. I love the albums I've created for Porter & Claire, but I'm busier these days with "mom-ness" and know that keeping up with all the kids' albums the way I want to will be increasingly difficult from a time standpoint.

So ... I was, again, looking for a solution. How could I still create a beautiful album for the new babe without feeling completely overwhelmed? Yep - create a kit myself! And, again, share it with all of you. Even if you don't have a baby, you just may be motivated to scrapbook the pictures of your older children or create an album for your niece or nephew. And, of course, most of us know someone having a baby. What a great gift, right!?

[ HOW TO ORDER ]

Stay tuned. You'll want to check back here on Monday for more information, including pricing and when to order. And I have a couple surprises up my sleeve too. So excited!

If you have a question about the kit, leave that in the comments now and I'll do my best to cover it on Monday.

Hi Becky - this kit looks SO beautiful! Make me want to have another baby...(well, not really)...just makes me want to make another baby album! Seriously, I wish something like this was around when I was scrapbooking my two daughters' first years!!

Hi Becky. The kit looks fabulous! The only thing I am worried about is that I am having a boy and there is a lot of pink in this kit. Would you please make sure to address that on Monday? Is the paper doublesided? Thanks!

Becky,

This kit is just simply gorgeous, but I would expect nothing less from you! My little boy is almost two and we're planning another baby in the winter, so I'll definitely need to grab two of these kits. Thanks so much for such great work all the time!

Hi Becky,

I love this kit! I am leaving to go out of town tomorrow for a week. Will it be for sale in that time, and if so, do you think it will be sold out by then? I don't think I'll have internet access where I'm going. It looks adorable!

What a cute kit. I love all the custom things. You are right. I think it would be perfect to make baby shower gift with. Since I am also not planning on having another baby any time soon. I think we are good. But I do have a a really good friend having a girl next month. Thanks for the peek.

I cannot contain my excitement right now. This is such a wonderful kit. I am ordering 4 kits. My sister who have a boy already told me to put an order for her. I have to order for my niece who have a boy and I'll give this for his baptism in Oct. (what a perfect timing) another one for my friend who's pregnant with her 4th child (she just found out) and 1for my little one. Love the colors. Will work very good for wither boy or girl. I LOVE those memorabilia envelopes too. Thank you for adding it in the kit. Thanks Becky!!!!

It looks amazing and can't wait to hear more details. We just adopted a toddler girl - is it generic enough to create a book when we don't have all of the details?

BTW - I love, love, love your two school kits!

I'm excited!
This may be the solution to the two piles of baby stuff I haven't dealt with for my daughter and son.
(Both are really not babies anymore! One is 15 and the other 11, LOL!)
I'ts just been too overwhelming to deal with that chapter of their lives.
Would I need 2 kits and then maybe swap the boy and girl stuff around to match?
I love the polka dots and the colors.
If it's anything like the school kit I would definately get 2! Then I'm set.

Thanks Becky. Hope you get the rest you need thru this whole process! I do appreciate your thoughtful effort into this one.

Gratefully,

Terri C

This is perfect for me. I'm expecting #2 in early February and don't plan on finding out the baby's sex (if husband will play along, that is!) When do you think these will ship? Do the kits have blank monthly calendars to fill out daily/weekly milestones? I made one from scratch for #1 where I punched out a separate square for each day of her first year! Definitely don't have the energy to do that this time around! I just love your style - thanks for making this!

I'm so excited. My baby is 5 months old and I just haven't gotten started yet. This is just what I needed! Is this going to be like the school kit- once it's gone, it's gone? Just wondering if I should order for the next little ones we hope to have! Gotta plan ahead, right? Enjoy the last few weeks of your pregnancy!

Hi,
Sorry to get "off topic," but I have a question about the tabs you used on your recipe book a while back...I can't find any half-circle shaped tabs like yours, they would be so handy for a cookbook, because my regular dividers don't stick out past the plastic page protectors. Thanks!!

I agree with some of the other comments; there is a lot of pink in the kit.

We only have one boy ( Joseph is 11 yrs old now ).

Will the pink items have reversible sides to them so it can be used for boy themed pages??

Love the kit idea!!

Hi Becky. I already left a comment but I was wondering if you could show us two different pictures of the kit, one with all the girl papers and embellishments and one with all the boy papers and embellishments? The picture you have posted does make it look very girly and my hsuband didn't want me to get it for our boy. :(

I have a friend who is in the process of adopting a child (their first, yeah!!) from S. Korea. My question is....is this kit primarily for birth parents, that will start with month one and work through, or, is it a kit that could be used by someone who doesn't meet their child until that child is say 9mo. to a year old??

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this new baby kit! I am also curious whether I could use this for our sweetie pie who was adopted from China. She is already two and all I have is boxes of photos and memorabilia. I think because it is such an important story to tell I feel a bit locked up about how to tell it. I am tickled to think that just like the school kits helped me unload tubs of memories for her siblings, this baby kit might get all of our adoption photos and memories out for our daughter in a way she can enjoy them. Oh, I do hope the kit works for adoption stories as well. Thanks, Becky! I truly feel like you are unique in the way you can bring quality, beautiful products that always seem to remember how very busy real moms are. You bring great creative solutions!

You're awesome!
Good luck with that new little one!

I just started making a baby album
for my neice-she is 3 weeks old now. Meant to have it done before
she was born, my sister in law is taking the pictures even though she doesn't have album yet. I have some paper and haven't been very motivated. I need more paper and embelishments to complete it. The colors are exactly the colors I already have, so I know this will
go well. I know your ideas will
get me motivated and going on album
again. Hope it comes out Monday.

Hi Becky, I absolutely love this kit it's gorgeous I will definitely be getting a couple.

My question is- Is this kit designed to be used all in one album say for the first 12 months? Or is it designed to be spread out over various albums/years?

Thanks so much for your great work, I have bought 4 of both your original school kit and expension kits, I just love your stuff.

Once again, cool kit. I think you should market and sell the folders that fit into the D-ring albums by themselves, this has big appeal for me, and would be willing to buy just these keepsake envelopes. Just an idea, but since you're always on top of things you probably already know that. ;) I don't know how you seem to do it all. Take Care.

Becky, this kit is adorable!! I only wish I had babies so I could play with it. My kids are teens and while I have only completed some of their baby album, I am super sad to admit I didn't keep a journal or anything to record their info as it happened, like when they lost their first tooth, said first word etc.
Anyway, thanks for bringing us such wonderful kits!
Oh, I second the person above - is it possible to order plain 12x12 memorbilia folders?
