crew's baby album

Babies and Christmas. More baby. More holidays. I know I'm hitting both topics a lot lately. That's what happens when I'm excited to share two kits with you simultaneously.

So ... back to babies.

I wanted to share what I've done so far in Crew's baby album. He's 5 weeks old now and I'm off to a strong start with recording his history. Here's a look.

Watching this video makes me so excited!! I received my kit but I'm still waiting for the baby! I'm only 4 months pregnant, so I don't know the gender yet, but I keep pulling things out of the kit and looking at them and I'm so psyched to get started!

I received my kit yesterday and am anxious to get started. I have a while to go for the birth of my
2nd child in April, but am considering making updates to my 4 year old's album using this kit. It prompts ideas I had not thought of before. I can see me getting carried away and having to purchase another kit for baby #2 in the near future. Thanks Becky for creating such a wonderful kit!

Thank you so much for sharing your ideas- I got my kits yesterday and I pulled out everything and began sticking it in the plastic sleeves. I am going to CKC St. Paul on Saturday and I will be devoting the night to making my almost-2 year-old's album. I was needing some inspiration and this video was just the ticket. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your ideas- I anxiously await the next new project! (To the previous poster: It did take an entire week for the kit to arrive.)

I did have a question about finding statistics to fill out the Time Capsule cards- do you have any good websites that would have that information? I've been digging around and haven't been able to find them. I did find the TIME 25 Top Ten lists at www.time.com thanks to Tina Cockburn's website but that only has the arts and leisure stuff.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Becky,
I received my kit and I love it! However, I've noticed a couple of minor things. First, on the very first page, the "weight" and "Length" card is misspelled, but only on the girl side! Is there a way to get another one? And the multiple pocket protectors (like the time capsule page) are "wider" than the rest so they stick out when put in the album. Is this supposed to be that way?
Finally, some of the title circles have dents in them from being packaged next to the brads. Can I get more of these too? Please let me know who to call. Thanks! Like a previous reader posted, I'd love to see a continuation for kids' albums!! Great kit!!

Do the page protectors come included? If so, do the little memorabilia envelopes work with postbound albums or does the kit require a 3 ring album?

Just received the 2 kits that I ordered. Looks like a lot of great stuff. I'm anxious to get started. I love that you gave us some ideas on this video of how to use the kit...I was hoping that the kit would come with a booklet of suggested layout ideas. With a new baby and being sleep deprived I don't have many creative juices left in me so I was hoping that I could just copy an idea of what each product was originally designed for. So, more ideas of layouts and how to use the kit please!

Becky, thanks for sharing! I wonder if anyone has suggested creating a kit around the idea of storage, with the majority being different sized memorabilia holders. Love these!

Hi! I'm confused and could use some guidance too. I got the kit yesterday and put started organizing the pages, but I noticed that there's no list of what's included. I think I got 17 pages in the semi-ready made stuff. Is that right? Also, the pages don't fit in my albums -- mine all seem to have just two holes. In the video it looks like you're using a regular three ring binder. I'd like to have something prettier. Any brands you can recommend? Thanks for your help!

LOve the album. THank you Becky for the ideas. At this moment i don't have the time to start with Kalle his album. He is the same age as Crew (5 weeks). I hope in two or three weeks that i will start with it. (at this moment he needs a lot of attention & breastfeeding him every 3 hours even during the night). I'm looking forward for more pages of his album.
Did you have a place on the internet where we can found your great and lovely pages?
I use them a lot for my pages. Thanks.

I received my kits a couple day ago and WOW, this is fabulous. It is so well organized and makes putting together my daughter's album a breeze (she'll be 2 next month). I couldn't get in the house fast enough and start putting the pages in order like you suggested. Now all I have to do is print pictures and voila her album is well on its way to finally being done! I have a second kit just waiting for when we find out what baby #2 is going to be (due in May). Thank Becky for such a wonderful value and time saver!!

HOORAY- my baby kits arrived! I can't even tell you how excited I am! As others have said, even though I'd seen what would be included this kit was even better than expected. There is so much great product, and I already have all the pre-designed pages in protectors and ready to fill. Becky, this is a fantastic kit!

I don't think this has been mentioned, but I just wanted to say that this kit is easily adapted to single parents and adoptive parents as well. We adopted from China, and I am using this kit to tell our story for our sweet daughter. I think I only pulled two journaling cards that were about pregnancy and labor, and it all still looks great. I am adding a few pages about our travel to China and the adoption-specific parts of our story. Really easy to do! If the month-by-month approach doesn't work since your child is older, you can use the blank lines and journal away, regardless of what month it is (I am lining the back side with other paper).

For single parents, I think the "Just About Us" page would be a beautiful place to go into detail about how you longed to have a child and create a family, and then the "Us" is you and your child. LOVE how very adaptable this kit is.

I ordered this as a baby gift for friends who are adopting as well, and not sure if God will send them a son or a daughter. I think it will be a wonderful gift for anyone who's expecting!

Again, Becky - another AMAZING kit. Thank you for such an incredible offering. If anyone is on the fence about ordering - you will not be disappointed!

For those having issues, email Vivian at CK Media. Her email is VGrothe@CKMedia.com She's pretty good at responding quickly although I think she was out part of this week.

If you try to call the 888 number at the bottom of the preorder confirmation email, it says that if you are calling about an order placed on the website, call 1800.453.1173. I called it Tuesday only to find out my order was already shipped (unbeknownst to me) and to be delivered yesterday, which it was. I never got the email saying it was shipped like it said I should have.

So for those wondering about your kits, call 1.800.453.1173 and they should be able to look up your order by name! Hope this helps!

Hi Becky:

I received my kit and went back to order another one. I am probably going to order one more. I was thinking of doing albums for all four (4) nephews. I so agree with you Becky. I too love the idea of having this kit and to also have the feeling of being "caught up" with a baby album. I have 7 children, so you can imagine the caught up feeling and the never having time to do much of anything feeling. This kit is a godsend for my sweet baby boy (#7) and it helps also to have the time to "try" and keep up with the other children's pages as well, since I don't have to devote alot of time to the baby album. I spent a good amount of time some years ago catching up on my other kids baby albums and it was daunting to think about what I was going to do when baby #7 got here. The kit is great and the big and little plastic folders are wonderful! Very useful to have. I also got a couple of your school kits and they have helped with keeping up with the school age kids stuff. I love how it's all laid out and there isn't that much thinking to it. I got my kit the other day and while the 3 little ones at home napped, I put the album together with the pages and inserted a few pics and such and felt so ready to go and definitely not overwhelmed....which is great for me these days! Thanks for designing such a neat, practical, and useful kit....now go and get David to "write neatly" on the page about you....I know I have to stay on mine as well. I had him do that just months ago for child #4's baby album, and he's 7 yrs. old now. Oh well, at least it's done! Thanks again....the relief I feel is undescribable and baby 7 will not feel left out cause he has an awesome album just like his siblings!

Becky,
I just wanted to put in a plea/request that someday it'd be great to have a toddler kit that would take us from 1 year to 5 or 6 yrs. old - then we could have a whole series from birth to graduation (with Baby Kit and School Kit). I would be so ecstatic to have a "system" for handling how we'd capture all the memories for our children. Of course you have plenty going on right now with enjoying your sweet three children! Just a suggestion for whenever :o) LOVE all your work! And we loved the pumpkin chocolate chip muffins we tried today also! Thanks!

Becky,

I have 3 children, ages 5, 8 & 9. I started scrapping after they were babies. Do you recommend this kit for someone like me who would have to go back years and have to journal (and majorly jog the memory)? I feel guilty for not having baby albums for them to add to their collection. Are you doing baby albums for Claire & Porter with this kit too? Thanks for your advice!

If you have not gotten your kit i would call and double check. I too ordered my 5 kits the first day and I finally called them last week and they said there was a problem and that they would get them right out to me. Then i got another email from them the next day stating that i would have to reorder them all. So i reordered last Monday. I finally got a notice from ups showing that they received the billing information, but it does not show anything else. It has been a week since i reordered and i am still not sure if they are on their way to me yet. I can not wait to get them though, as they look adorable. A toddler kit would be awesome. Becky: I have/am waiting for soooooo long to recieve my two baby kits. Last week I called customer service and they gave me a number to Sheri @ 1-303-215-5657 I called her today for the 4th time
and she reordered these kits for me and is going to put a request for 3 day shipping. I was pleased with her willingness to accomodate me. I would not have been so upset but ckmedia already charged my credit card the same day I ordered it and here it is the 28th and I still have not recieved them. I have ordered several of the other kits with no problems so I was really shocked to have so many problems with this one. Sorry this is so long I just wanted to clue you in as to issues with shipping. I know you dont have anything to do with that part of it but if my name was on a product and customers were not getting what they paid for when it was promised to them I would want to know about it.
