holiday card kit preview

Before I share pictures of the upcoming holiday card kit, I wanted to let you know that the baby kits are now shipping. Many of you have pre-ordered and are receiving yours already (or will very soon). For those of you who are wondering, it is not too late and you can still order your baby kit here. If you're just chiming in, you can find out all sorts of information about the baby kit by watching my video clips posted here on my blog (see 9/22 and 9/23 posts).

Now. A little preview of the holiday card kit that will soon be available for pre-order!

There are 3 main card designs that come in each kit (10 of each; 30 total):

These are the envelopes (cute, huh?):

You also get all these bonus cards for holiday thank-you's and small notes:

Plus a bunch of chipboard tags for gifts, neighbor treats, etc. These will SO come in handy:

And of course we're throwing in a collection of darling self-adhesive gift labels:

There's other stuff that you haven't seen yet, including ready-to-print-on letterhead that coordinates with the main cards (for those of you who like to include a newsletter with your holiday greetings). I know you'll have questions. Go ahead and ask away, but just know that I'll be sharing a video clip & more information, as I always do when I release a new kit. Stay tuned.

LOVE it!!! They look great. Oh my goodness, all those little notecards and tags will come in soooo handy!

My question is, what is the circle cut-out in the card for? I'm sure you've got plenty of creative ideas on how to use it. I just can't visualize it right now.

Darn it! You've done it again....beautiful holiday cards! I was hoping (at least my checkbook was) that they wouldn't be cute. :) I guess I'll have to have them. I am guessing that the cards are made the way they are, so you can add a holiday picture inside? Am I right?!

Hi, Becky!
The kit looks AMAZING and I can't wait to order it! I do have one question--my family has begged "no more brads" after last year--can you give us an idea on the assembly involved? My husband was the only one with strong enough hands to handle the 5+ mini brads per card. I love creating them and I LOVE your card kits, but last year with the shipping delay to me and time required to assemble my 100+ cards I just ran out of time. I had to make peace with mailing them late! Looking forward to your videos to see more! Also hoping they will ship SOON so I can get going on them...I like to get it all done by Thanksgiving (I'm sure I'm not alone)! :) --Katy

Darling
Lovely
Colorful
Cute-as-pie
Have to have em!
My questions are from last years challenges. Like thickness (chipboard involvement) & size for shipping, weight, brads! & closure for the envelopes (last years didn't pass the test from Postmaster & it broke my heart to scotch tape up my lovely envelopes)
Love the addition of computer printable "newsletter". and all the bonuses.
You always seem to know just what were looking for!

1- what is the round cut-out for?
2- will a regular stamp be enough?

Feeling the urge to pull out a Christmas movie.

Will the cards use only 1 stamp? Also re: the baby kit - if you want to scrap your baby pictures for a now much older child, does the kit still work if you can't remember a lot of the details? Thanks.

Thanks, Becky! I was wondering if there was any way to ship earlier to international orderers? I live in B.C. Canada and when I place orders it always seems to take a few weeks extra before I get my order. With the Christmas deadline, I'd love to get the kits in time. Just thought I'd ask :)

The C-mas card kit is perfect, as usual...I know they will brighten everybodys mailbox.

I was wondering if you were making any homemade gifts this year and if you would mind sharing a few ideas. Also, in one of your blogs a long time ago you had a white letter H with some photos of your family attached to it. I loved the letter, but haven't seen anything like it since. Do you have any idea where I could look? I've tried craft stores, but the letters they carry wouldn't stand up by themselves. I need a letter M. If you have any ideas, please let me know

To the previous blogger "Angela"

I found those "BIG" letters at a store called "RAMATAZ" but, I live in Arizona so, I don't know if that is a national chain or what. Hope this helps!

They are way cool and very inexpensive!

Love the cards and plan to order them! Everyone loved the cards last year and I loved making them. I do have to agree with Katy about the brads and the envelope closure labels. I was literally placing them in the drive up mail slot and noticed that the envelopes were coming apart. I took them back home and used super duper adhesive to keep them closed. One tip for the brads. I find that using a popsicle stick or the wooden sticks that come with rub-ons work great for prying open the brads. It will save your nails and keep you from getting punctures under your nails. I did manage to get by with one stamp even with my newsletter and a photo enclosed. It was right on the line of 1 ounce and they all went through.

Just received my baby kit today and Wow!...it's so cool! My daughter is 5, but I could never get those baby pics done.
What's also cool is that the WE R Memory Keepers albums are only 19.99 at Wolf Camera for the month of October. What color to order?!?

Thanks Becky for all your cool affordable kits!

Thank you Lisa for the great tip on the We R Memory Keepers albums at Wolf Camera! I love those, and appreciate saving $10 + tax and shipping per album. I am so excited to get my baby kits soon so I can build some cool albums.

Question for Becky- I saw in a previous post that you like the C-line page protectors. Can I ask do you use those or the We R Memory Keepers protectors? I wasn't sure if those were most similar to the School Kit protectors or if those are your protectors all the time with the WRMK albums. Thanks so much!

If anyone is desperate to pre-order, as I was, you can do it on the CK website now! GREAT value and my husband put up a mock veto until I assured him the assembly looks EASY. Yay, Becky--even better than last year's, which was hard to top! I can hardly wait until it ships! Am I happy to check that off my list...thanks for sharing your adorable design skills.

I really love this kit, but sadly I won't be ordering it, due to the fact that ordering things from CK is a painful process. Their ordering/shipping system stinks, and when a person tries to find out what has happened to their order (that CK had absolutely no problem taking money for) it is a total runaround trying to get answers!!! CK customer service stinks and I have cancelled my CK magazine subscription and won't be ordering anything again. I know way too many people who feel the same.
