holiday cards FAQ
I wanted to answer some of your questions regarding the holiday card kit. Missed what I'm talking about? Look at the post just below this one for pictures of my new holiday card KOTM (kit of the month).
Q: How much is the kit?
A: $29.99 (value over $125 in comparable product)
Q: When is it available to pre-order?
A: RIGHT NOW! Click HERE to go there in a jiffy.
Q: When will the kits begin shipping?
A: The first week of November.
Q: Can you ship internationally?
A: Yes, we will be taking international orders. If you are one of these customers, call 386-597-4387. Orders will be shipped via DHL.
Q: How many cards are in a kit?
A: 30 (plus a bunch of "bonus" cards for mailing cd's and thank-you notes, etc.)
Q: What are the dimensions of the main cards?
A: Folded, the card measures 4" x 9".
Q: Can I put a 4" x 6" picture inside the card?
A: Yes. You'll just need to do a quick trim on one edge of your photo so it fits well inside the card.
Q: Will one postage stamp be enough to mail my cards?
A: Yes. I have even double-checked this myself this week. I mailed some cards with a standard postage stamp and they arrived just fine. Obviously if you decide to include a bunch of extra stuff in your cards, making them bulkier/heavier, that may require extra postage. When I did my test-run, I included the card, the embellished insert, the newsletter, and a photo. What I consider to be the "standard package" with this card design.
Q: What is the cut-out circle on the cards for?
A: It's just for fun. It peeks through to the inside, where you'll include an embellished insert from the kit (if you want). It will be an epoxy sticker in that spot. This will make more sense when I post my video clip in the next few days.
Q: Is the year printed on the card, or will I be able to use these next year (or another year)?
A: 2008 is not printed anywhere, but there's a cute place to include the date, which I'll share with you in the video. So yes, you can use these cards another year if you don't send them this year.
Q: Your holiday card kit from last year involved brads & chipboard, which added to the thickness of the cards. Will it be the same with this kit?
A: Nope. I avoided the bulky factor.
Q: Are the envelopes going to require tape or adhesive?
A: Lick & stick, baby! No need to use tape or anything. Tip: As with any envelope, just be sure you lick all the way to the edges. You know how sometimes, if you don't do that, the corner will rip? Yeah. So just be sure to get full coverage. : )

Thanks for answering these questions, Becky! Much appreciated! I phoned the number you listed to do an international order, but apparently they only deal with magazine subscriptions at that number. They were not helpful in providing me with a different number to call. Do you know of another number where I could place an order for card kits? Thanks for your help!
Great! However, I tried pre-ordering but was encountering some problems with the site. Anybody else having problems placing an order?
Yeah!!! I just pre-ordered two! I noticed that the link went to creating keepsakes website so I had to create a different account. I usually order under lisa bearnson.com so that is why you might have had problems ordering?
Help! I just tried to order my kits and it won't let me. I tried to set up a new account and it would not let me do that either. I don't want to miss this kit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much.
Great looking kit! So much fun. Thanks so much for doing this again this year - I'm in school full time this fall and just wouldn't have time to create cards from scratch. These will be perfect - I've ordered two, and the website seemed to be working fine. I did have to set up a new account.
I had a terrible time this morning, but after reading the comments this afternoon, I tried and the order went thru just fine. This morning I tried to order 3, but it said I ordered 19!I love the kits, but haven't time to do 19!! I loved them last year, and I know I will enjoy them again. You are something else, Becky.
I had the same problem with the pre-order. I also always order from Lisa Bearnson's website so it took me a while to figure out I had to set up a new account. And then, when I did, it looked like I ordered 8. Once I updated my quantity, and set up my new account - I was all set. When ordering - answer that you do not have an account - not set up a new account (that way you just got a server error). Hopefully you will be able to order now!!!
Thanks Becky for designing the cards again this year. I sent them out last year and they were a huge hit with my family and friends. I am sure they will love this year's designs just as much.

Just wondering if you know how much the postage is to Australia, on the old site you could see that amount prior to confirming your order.
When I clicked on the international shipping rates it told me the page wasnt found.

I am still trying to get my hands on the baby kit. I have ordered it & received a receipt - but the kit has not been shipped to me yet (10 days after I ordered) and I can't get a response from customer service. I know Vivian is away until the 21st - but is there anybody else that can help me??

I am waiting for my baby kits too. I ordered 3 on 19 Sept. I received a receipt for my preorder but have not been notified that my credit card has been charged or that it has shipped... It does need to get to Australia so I guess I will continue to wait....

Your christmas cards look wonderful however I'll be sending out last years as I didn't get mine in time to send out (that's ok though as I'm super excited).
My question is I've been trying to order 2 of your baby kits and the site that I always purchase from isn't recognizing my email or password nor will it let me create a new one to place my order:(( I'm bummed b/c I don't want to lose out on the chance to order these kits but the site I'm presuming is acting up. Totally know that you're not responsible just thought I'd put that bug in your ear as it sounds like a lot of people are anxious to order product and aren't having luck!! I'll keep trying:)))

Carolyn again. Ok so I finally was able to order 2 kits and once I put all my info in and gave my cc # the last button to push was to confirm order and it said page error??? Now I'm worried whether it went through or not. Sorry to bug but really want these kits and nothing is working!!

Yeah...I just pre-ordered two sets. Thanks for designing such a wonderful set of Christmas cards. With two little ones at home time is limited but we love to sent beautiful cards.

I'm waiting for my baby kit as well so those comments above me aren't alone. I just worried that they will now ship while I'm gone and no one will be here to receive them. Since Vivian is out of town, is there any way to find out when our kits are supposed to ship?
When I called customer service regarding my baby kit (1-800-453-1173), I was told that since I preordered it wouldn't ship until November 1st. However, I received my kit last week Friday October 17. I'm not sure what's going on, but I had to register as a NEW customer on the CK website to order.

I have tried two other numbers and am now waiting to hear back from someone.
I would like to order the Christmas cards but want to make sure they will arrive in time (to Australia). I ordered my baby kits on 19th Sept and have not got those yet, so if the Christmas cards dont ship until November I wont have much chance of receiving them in time. But I really want them!!! Everyone LOVED the cards I sent from last years kit.

I am with Sherry...Although these seem easy to do, there is not even a picture to look off of. I am disappointed. I have everything layed out on the table and ready to go and now I have to try to figure all this out. I thought there would at least be some instruction like last year.
