what's in the holiday card kit

I know there are some questions about the ordering process, etc. so I will be getting back with you shortly on that (as soon as I have a little more information). In the meantime ... the promised video clip, showing you the kit!

video

To clarify ...

- There are supplies to make & send 30 holiday greeting cards (yes, a single postage stamp works great ... I've done a test-run)

- There are 24 little (3" x 3") cards & envelopes that are perfect for accompanying gifts or treats that you deliver to friends, neighbors, and associates.

- There are 15 holiday thank-you cards (3" x 4"), which can be sent through the mail with a single stamp just fine (don't forget to thank others for the gifts YOU receive!)

- There are components to make & send 6 cd's/dvd's, which can be sent through the mail with a single stamp just fine

Please refer to my the FAQ's in the post just below this one to see answers to many other questions about the kit.

And remember ... Viv (vgrothe@ckmedia.com) is your customer service friend. If you have any questions about your Kit of the Month order, drop her a note.

I still can;t order your baby kits, the system is coming up error and not allowing me to create a new account. Customer service said that they have switched warehouses thus causing a huge glitch in the ordering system. I spoke to Leslie Miller and she was fantastic, told me to call her back if I can't order anything today and she'll pass me on to customer service. Finally found a number that works from Canada:) I'll be placing my order by phone today I presume. I hope they aren't all sold out (for my sake):)

Hey,

I tried ordering the kit yesterday. I called the phone number for the international orders, I'm from Canada. After I gave the lady all my info and had the order set up I had a thought...How much is shipping?? She said to Canada it could cost anywhere from $25 to $45!! I'm in love with this kit and would LOVE to purchase it, but I can not justify spending that much on shipping! Do you know if us Canadian's will be able to order from Lisa's webiste. The shipping wasn't so crazy when I ordered one of your other kits from that site.

Your work is amazing and I love all the kits you have created! I know you have no control over the cost of shipping :)

Hi Becky,
I have a question about the baby kit, which I just received yesterday! (yippee!) In the first page package the little square that says "weight" and "length" is misspelled, but only on the pink side! Since I have a girl, can I get another square sent to me? Also one of the inserts for the divided protectors is "off" again, only on the pink side. Help! I love the kit though. It's great!!

Gorgeous! I really love the cards, and I love that it's without all the bulk! I'm going to have to see if I can justify this purchase, because it's great!

Can I just say that Vivian is wonderful! She is the best customer service person I have ever dealt with!!

I really like this year's cards and I definitely got last year's Christmas Card kit.

I just wish that we could have a choice if we only just wanted to purchase the cards and just have the other items (i.e. tags, CD holders, newsletter paper)as "add-ons" and pay extra if we wanted those. Last year it was more affordable...I believe it was $15 for the kit (plus S&H) and it mainly had the cards and tags which I know I definitely used.

Hi Becky...I have a quick question with your baby kit. First off, I LOVE it! I received it yesterday, and am wondering if I can purchase more of just the acetate folders. I have really utilized these from your school kit as well, and love them-both the large and small ones in the baby kit. Any thoughts about this? Thanks Erin :)

Hi Becky,

First off, thank you for creating yet another wonderful Christmas card kit! I purchased last year and ordered two sets of this year's kit. What a fantastic feeling of not having to worry about coming up with my own card idea to send out to family and friends. With little ones at home, my time is limited. With this kit I feel like each person I send a card to is getting something truly genuine and nothing like all the other cards they will receive this year. One quick question for you......will you be doing the 12 days of Christmas this year? I absolutely loved that feature of your blog from last year.

I know its early, but you've put me in the mood for the holiday...Merry Christmas!

Becky,

Don't hate me! I remember reading once upon a time, about your past Christmas cards you sent out. One was a hybrid and done long ways. Anyway, I would love to look at that article/blog/etc... but I can't remember when/where/ how I read it. Could you steer me in the right direction. Sorry, I can't find it on my own.

Thanks,
Sarah

Please, please do the 12 days of Christmas again! I absolutely looked forward to seeing you every day last year!! Maybe this year you could give us organizing tips - you are so amazing!! Three kids and you still have it all together! I would LOVE to learn how you keep track of everything!! BTW - what type of planner do you use? Paper/pencil or a computer program?

Becky,

According to your layout on page 83of your latest sketch book, it would be your birthday today so....Happy Birthday! I hope you have a wonderful day.

I also wanted to let you know your Christmas card kit is awesome. Unfortunately, I would need four of your kits to have enough cards to send (I come from a really big family). If there was a way I could just order the cards I would be all over this! Maybe a thought for the future...

I would love to order your christmas cards, but I am concerned they will not arrive here (in Australia) in time. I emailed Vivian and she said to order online. I tried the number you had listed but it was not correct.

I ordered 3 baby kits on Sept 19 and they havn't even shipped yet. My school kits (ordered in the second round) only arrived a few weeks ago.

Tara (comment above), I live in Australia and they are going to post them via DHL but the cost of shipping is $80, and after you take into account the exchange rate, for me makes it a little too expensive, just for Christmas Cards.

Cheers

Hi Rach,

Thanks so much for your comment. Unfortunately I too, will not be able to justify almost $150 for these cards. I love them but shipping is way too expensive.

It would be great if there was a distributor for CK KOTM here in Australia. It would make the products available to so many more people as the shipping costs would be so much cheaper.

I agree the shipping is so expensive, for 4 baby kits I am paying over $150 to have them shipped!! I am still waiting on the baby kits also, I am going to be calling customer service today to find out what is happening with the International Orders as myself and a friend ordered them and have not heard anything.

I love both of the kits though Becky and I think you have done an amazing job so much so that I am willing to pay the expense to ship them to Australia. Keep up the great work : )

It's me again...

I left the comment earlier about shipping to Canada. There is a lady I work with whose son lives in the US and she said I could have the kit sent there! I was soooo happy...but I ran into more troubles!

I had an account on the Creating Keepsakes site before but I can not log in. I keep getting an error message and so I though I would just creat a new account but I still get the same error message. Is anyone else having this problem?? I really want this kit!! I LOVE IT!!!

Hi Becky,
What an excellent kit!!!

I'm still on the fence... I'd need to buy 4 kits to take care of all my card needs which would leave a lot of left over "extras." I know I could use the "extras" next year, but most likely you'll come up with an even cuter kit next year that I'll want to get. I'm thinking about giving some of the thank yous, gift cards and gift tags as teacher gifts put in a cute little basket.
Ideally, I'd like to purchase 4 of the kits with just cards and then one kit with all the extras.
I could also just buy one or two kits to use, but then I'd have to think up what to do for the rest of my cards.
I'd like to see an example of what you write on the actual card part. It looks like there would be a lot of blank space on the lined part if you didn't write a personal message on each card (which I don't do since I send out 100+). Just wondering if you would write on the front and back or just back or what, I'm sure you send out a ton of cards yourself.

Becky, thanks for the video. I've already ordered my kits and am so excited to get them! I love the quality of the KOTM products, and also know that the Christmas cards I'll send this year won't be just run-of-the mill cards! I think the price is great too, for all that I'm getting. Someone above mentioned putting extra card together as small gifts - what a great idea! Thanks, Lori

Theresa & amp;keith this is for you, I too couldn't create anything with the site as I kept getting a server error as well, very frustrating!! I did speak to Leslie Miller and she gave me a number that works from Canada is 800-453-1173. They were great and I was able to place my Baby Kit orders yesterday. However I would still prefer to do it over the phone as I didn't get a confirmation #. Hopefully they get everything ironed out for next time.

I have been trying to set up a new account but have not been able to. I just received an email from the CK Webmaster to tell me there is a problem and they are not able to process international orders.

It seems that it is working for some though???

Jade (just in case you might find this)

My International Order for my baby kits has been lost... I have a confirmation number but after contacting CK they know nothing of it. As I cannot access my account online I need to reorder via fax.

SO... anyone still waiting on an order, check that it actually exists!

Jade,

I emailed Vivian Grothe, she said if my credit card had not been debited the order did not go through and that I would need to reorder. I rang with my order (3 days ago) and still have not heard anything. I hope you are having better luck than me!
