got christmas cards?

Have YOU received your Holiday Card Kit yet? Have any questions? Post them here, in the comments. I want to be sure everyone feels totally successful in getting their cards pulled together well before it's time to mail them. Yay for getting things done early!

I have some pictures I want to share. For those of you who haven't ordered, but you're thinking about it ... this will give you a closer look at what you'll get if you purchase the kit.

For complete coverage on what comes in the Holiday Card Kit, see my video blog on 10/20. Plus, a full list of FAQs and other kit information can be found in my posts from 10/13 and 10/14. Make sure you check that over first, because I may have already covered the info you're looking for.

[ Okay. The pictures. ]

These are the 3 main greeting card designs you get in the kit. There are 10 of each.

The envelopes look like this:

And you're getting letterhead that coordinates with everything, for those of you who like to include a newsletter in your holiday cards. Click on this image and read my message for additional newsletter-writing tips, whether you're using this kit or not.

There are gift stickers for quickly labeling those presents:

And chipboard tags that you can also attach to gifts (I'm using mine for neighbor gifts):

And more. Itty bitty note cards for when you don't need to say a whole lot, thank-you cards for the holiday gifts you receive, CD/DVD-holding cards ... so much value to this kit.

I hope to be back in touch soon with more instructional type of information on those cards (not that you need much, but it might help some of you).

Becky,
I got my kit on Monday and love it! I'm actually considering including a letter this year (normally don't do that) but I love the paper. What font did you use on your sample? That's the perfect font!

You knew we would all read your newsletter. Great info there. Thanks for a great product.

Ham and Swiss Rolls were wonderful. It appears you got your rolls from Costco.

I got my cards this week and really like them. I'm so glad you offered them again this year. Was there an instruction sheet for assembling them? I can figure most of it out from the pictures online but I can't see where the green & pink rub-on's go. Thanks.

Becky,

Love the kit so much. This is the first year I am ordering one and plan to do so every year now. I am having trouble with the small plastic tags though? Can you give a suggestion as to how to use those? Thanks.

I mentioned on a previous post about the lack of instruction or even pictures with the kit. Yes, I could go back and watch videos and look at pictures but that is really inconvenient when I am sitting at the table trying to get the cards done. The first 7 or 8 I did were upside down and although nobody else will probably notice I was disappointed. Also what are the perameters for the letterhead?
I love the kit this year and I loved the cards last year too. I just wish there was at least a picture. Thanks!

Wow, these cards go together soooooooo fast! This is great!!!! Becky when you post to your blog again, would you mind showing a pic of the bulb card. I watched your video and was able to figure out the other two cards, but the bulb card, I am unsure as to where to place the overlay and rub on. Everything I do, just doesn't look right. Thanks so much! :)

Love my cards. I received them yesterday. Ok, so now I know that everyone didn't receive and instruction sheet either. I thought it was just mine. Glad to know I can look at the blog. I guess I'll have to assemble one of each at my computer then I can take them to a crop to assemble the rest, if I need to. Thanks again for another great kit. You never disappoint, Becky!

I just wanted to post an FYI for folks who pre-ordered it - if you haven't received it, you may need to call CK Media to see if they indeed received your order. I pre-ordered, received an order receipt in my email, and everything looked great... BUT come 11/10, still no kit. I called customer service and gave them my order number and they had no record of it! The charge never went through on my personal account either. Needless to say, there was a system glitch, so I had to reorder and double-check that the 2nd order went through... and now I am happily awaiting the kit's arrival as we speak with a UPS tracking number to boot!

I am soo excited to use this kit! Thanks for your hard work Becky.

Can you just order the tags and gift stickers? I'm ALWAYS looking and using those, but don't need the letterhead, etc. Would you ever consider just putting together different tag/sticker sets to buy??? (Christmas, Birthday, Thank You, Misc.)

I would love these cards. I used last years and received so many complements that I was looking forward to using this years kit. BUT... shipping to Australia is $68 US that converts to $106 Australian dollars plus the cost of the kit is a total of $170 AUS dollars.

Even if I could try to justify that cost, I preordered 3 baby kits in September and now after speaking or emailing 5 different people at CK I still haven't even had my order confirmed! So who knows how long it would take to actually receive the kit.

Sorry Becky, I know this has nothing to do with you, but I love all your kits and just want to be able to receive them.

I have not ordered the christmas cards this as I have my kits from last year to use minus the card that states 2007. They took way too long as well and I missed being able to send them out.
I have ordered 2 Baby kits back on Oct 20th only to find out yesterday that the order was not even processed, and the worst part I called my order in!!!!!! Very frusturating. I adore all of Becky's kits and don't want to miss out however I have to say, CK Media or wherever we are doing all of our ordering from is pretty pathetic. The last couple of times, I have wondered whether it's worth all the hassle. When I finally reordered last MOnday I was referred to Stephanie and she placed my order. Yesterday I had not received my confirmation as of yet and called back only to find out she haden't processed it yet!!!!Talk about running in circles. She threw in my 2nd baby kit for free b/c of all the screw ups which was great but now I'm wondering how long it'll take to get here. I live in Canada.
I've just come to the conclusion that when I order one of the KOTM that I have to have a lot of patience. This has nothing to do with Becky and I'm sure she gets frusturated hearing about these issues but sometimes we just have to vent. When you take the time to create a wonderful product, you'd hope the shipping part wouldn't be a problem.

Tara from above in Australia I am having the same problem with my 4 baby kits I ordered 2 months ago I have tried every phone no I could get my hands and have spoken to numerous supervisors who have all promised to put my order through. I hate to think what I have spent calling US to try and get an answer as to why the international baby kits WILL NOT SHIP. I am getting extremely annoyed as well. Obviously this has nothing to do with Backy at all as the kit is fabulous but the customer service, or lack of has a lot to be desired. If you get any further info Tara or Becky can you please email me on jadeconran@gmail.com? Thanks

Hi Becky,
I am still debating because I can't quite figure out if this kit will work. It seems like the outside (folded part) is like a second envelope, and would be just thrown out & I'm not sure what would be left for their "card". Especially if the photo & letter are separate. If you could give us a run down of the inserted card, like what each side looks like & if a photo could be attached to the "front" where the clear parts are stapled on, that would be great. And what the dimensions of that part are. I love the colors but not sure if this years will work for me.
I am sure your quite busy as well, but one of the things I loved last year was seeing what other people did with your kits- the inspiration to make them "my-own". Those links were so fun to help "get it" as a kit, not a ready made card.
Hope your having fun making your own cards fun with now 3 kiddos to display & show off!
Merry Christmas! (that was my first of the season :)

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one that has had customer service issues. I'm so frustrated I'm about to cancel my order regardless of how cute the kit is. I ordered two baby kits, I've called customer service 3 times, and even though my credit card was charged I haven't received anything. No shipping number, no email to tell me they've been shipped. This has been going on since Oct 13. I've been told they've been reshipped three times, and each order is canceled, not processed or lost. Does anyone know a specific name & number to call that has been helpful? I've tried Vivian (the email lady Becky suggests for things on here) and supervisors and call reps at every customer service number I've found. This is over $100 and I've got nothing to show for it. I've never had any problems with a kit before now, but this is getting ridiculous and very frustrating. (PS - I know this has nothing to do with Becky, just looking for a forum of people that might have help...thanks!)

I just want to let anyone out there know (bart and kellie) that if you are planning on cancelling your order, don't bother. I tried several times to cancel mine due to the dropping Canadian dollar and was assured by customer service that it would be taken care of. I then received an e-mail last week confirming my order and then another confirming shipping of my order. I once again tried to contact customer service and NOBODY replied to me. And now I have to keep the kit because it was delivered to my home this week. The kit is beautiful but at this time I felt it was not prudent for me to be buying with such a low dollar but now I will have to keep it because can you imagine the hassle it would be to try to return it!
I can assure you that the people in customer service with CK Media are not listening to their customers and it will be the very last time I order from them.
Very disatisfied.

Hello everyone. I commented on this earlier and to my surprise, after speaking to Stephanie who Vivian referred me to she hadn't placed my order as of 2 days ago and to my surprise I received it today. 2 days and it was shipped to Canada...I'm SHOCKED. They obviously knew they had screwed up and one kit was actually no charge. I guess all I can say is hold out and hopefully it'll arrive to you soon as well. Unfortuntely though it really does take the excitement out of ordering the next time. I am thrilled to be able to look through my kits tonight once the kiddies are in bed but if I were the one producing these kits I would find another company to handle shipping!!!!!!
Sorry Becky, I know these are quite negative comments and they are not personally directed to you but when someone is spending so much money on these beautiful kits it's hard not to get frusturated with the lack of customer service.
For everyone else if you email Vivian she will immediately reply and forward your email or comments to Stephanie who in the end took excellent care of me:) Hope this helps!

Hi Becky,

I would really appreciate your help. I preordered the Baby KOTM some time ago as my son turns one in a week and I was over the moon that you had a kit out that was so timely. Unfortunately my order seems to have disappeared. I received an email with an order number and tried to get info on the website with no luck. I emailed Viv as you said she might be able to help and have had no reply in the last month or so. At the beginning of the week I phoned CK customer service (internationally since I live in Australia) and was redirected to 3 different numbers before I could get anyone who knew what a Kit of the Month was, they all seemed to only deal with the magazine, and I finally chatted to someone in products who said she didnt know but would get her manager to email me in the morning. That was several days ago.

I really don't want to miss out and leave this hanging until the kit is all sold out, but I can't afford to order it again and maybe have to pay for it twice (even though I don;t doubt I would use every scrap of the kit twice over lol!).

Could you please help? I love your work and own all your books. I just don't want to miss out on your fabulous baby kit.

xx

Ruth,
I am also in Australia and have had no end of trouble trying to get these baby kits. I preordered in September and after phone calls and emails to 5 different people I have finally had my order confirmed and shipped. If everyone had of done what they said, it would have been shipped 3 times. It has not appeared on my credit card but I do hope I dont end up paying 3 times!

Stephanie Brath (sbrath@holdenmss.com) was the person that has finally placed this order and confirmed shipping.

I will wait and see as to whether they turn up but this is the closest I have come so far. I wait in hope.... Good Luck.

It would be great if there was a distributor over here. The kits are made in China... that is half way here, rather than being sent back to US they could come straight here... geezzz send them to me and I will distribute them. The shipping costs from US are so expensive!

Oh wow. I pre-ordered on OCT 20, received an email invoice, and then the customer service department has no record of my order. Frustrating! Nobody is being very helpful at all. I was suppossed to have the kit by now.

I would have been better off to make my own Christmas cards this year. This process has made be not want to order anything else from CK. I think they should compensate with a free kit.

Becky, you need to check into the confusion with your Holiday Card KOTM deliveries because the lost orders and terrible customer service are not up to your standards nor Creating Keepsakes. I have been a long time Creating Keepsakes and Becky Higgins fan, both purchasing items and attending CKU. I have never blogged about anything ever, but felt this needed to be brought to your attention as it appears I am not isolated in this frustration.

I pre-ordered two sets of KOTM Holiday Cards in late October. By the third week of November I still didn't have any cards. On Wed Nov 19th I called the Customer Service line provided and was told my order didn't exist and a supervisor would call me back. I never heard from anybody on Wed nor early Thurs. On Thurs. afternoon I once again called the Customer Service line provided. I explained what was going on and was told that there has been a change of supplier and some pre-orders were lost. I was told that the supervisor would personally place my order to ship immediately and would send an email confirmation to my account. He took all my information, including my credit card number and security code. It is now Monday, Nov. 24th and I have not received a confirmation about my order and could not find anyone in the Customer Service department who knew about my order. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with Customer Service being transferred around and once again was told the supervisor, Stephanie, would call me. I am completely dumbfounded and have no visibility on when an order will be placed or when I will receive the cards.

I having been looking forward to this KOTM and am extremely disappointed by the process--a process that usually runs smoothly. This is definitely not up to your typically high standards.

I too had a difficult time getting my pre ordered Card Kit. I didn't get it until a week ago. I also called several times and was charged five different time amounts different from my total. That was a bummer but I finally did get my card kit and do love it. My wonderful hubby helped me get all the cards together and I took them off to mail today.

This was where I incountered another problem. Becky, you had said that with all the card put together it could be shipped regular shipping but I had to pay .17 cents more than the regular .42 cents. Luckly I had the mail lady check to see if they would be alright or they all would have come back to me! Really bummed to find that out. I am just glad I only ended up doing just one kit. Could you check on the shipping next time.
