new books

Keeping you in the loop on a couple new scrapbooking books that might interest you:

Simple Scrapbooks has a new book coming out by Lain Ehmann. It’s called “Snippets” and you can get a sneak peak here. This is not an “idea” book and doesn’t include scrapbook pages. It’s a series of delightful essays exploring everything from getting started and making time for the hobby to stalking scrapbooking celebrities and yearning for a magazine worth scrapspace. Sounds like a great stocking-stuffer for any of your scrapbooking friends. It’s shipping after Thanksgiving. Oh, and there’s a Snippets virtual launch party at the Simple Scrapbooks website this Thursday.

Also getting ready to ship, the latest from Creating Keepsakes is called “Month by Month Scrapbooking” by Amanda Probst. You can find it here. This one has tons of inspiration for all the traditional annual events, rites, and rituals, along with new perspectives on how to document your daily life throughout the months of the year.

  2. Thanks for taking the time to chat about this, I feel strongly about this and I take pleasure in learning about this subject. If possible, as you gain facts, please add to this blog with more information. I have found it very useful.

  3. Does anybody know if they have a youtube channel? I guess it would be nice to see some videos.

  4. Hey there, I’m a long-time reader and also have been too shy to create a comment.

So happy to discover you here, Becky. I have been a huge fan of your scrapbook style (and your attempt to balance life) for your 12 yrs at CK and have every one of your publications in my library. I feel as though I know you from reading all the years of journaling :) Kudos to your newest transformation. I, myself, am the mother of two little ones, have done heart surgery since 1996, and am a very prolific scrapbooker – you can say that I am a natural cutter and paster. Like you, I am tryin always to strike a balance, and am changing to plastic and reconstructive surgery in the new year. When I logged onto this blog I waited a new book by you – any hope for that soon. Best of luck you you, I’ll be following along
