completed layouts
Wanted to share some completed layouts from Project 365. These come from the lovely & talented Maggie Holmes.

One thing I noticed about Maggie's use of products (from the kit) is that she's putting the black day-of-the-week stickers over the photos, and the clear letter stickers (that coincide with each day of the week) on the journaling blocks, over color. It looks awesome. I happen to be doing the opposite of that, but maybe I'll switch it up once in a while.
I also want to point out a few other things:
1. She included vertical shots in the horizontal pockets (two 3x4 images, side-by-side)
2. She rounded her photo corners with a punch (to match the journaling blocks)
3. She got herself in front of the camera!
I love seeing different approaches to Project 365 ... with the kit, without the kit, paper-based or digital, journaling in the 4x6 spots (instead of photos) ... you name it. People are doing it.

So great to see all the ideas everyone is sharing. I love how you can still add your own touches if you want, but I'm sticking with the easy it's-all-done-for-you approach for now, while I catch up on last year's full scrapbook layouts. It's so versatile and I'm amazed at the deal that the kit is. Who doesn't love a great deal...I was at Target yesterday and bought $75 worth of clothes for my boys and paid only $13!! For 11 things!
I love the sample layouts, thank you for sharing. I have actually been consistant with carrying my camera and journal with me at all times. It's great. It's been amazing so far.
I can't wait to put it all together. I am a little behind in purchasing products for this project.
Thank you once again for sharing and for everything you have done and inspire to do, Becky. You are truly amazing.
I enjoy seeing other peoples takes on this kit and concept! As usual, it helps the juices flow...
I'm in the process of printing out my own photos and then journaling.
She did a beautiful job. I love the rounded corners. You designed a beautiful kit, Becky. The colors and patterns look gorgeous.
I really like seeing your photos of the day too.
I can't wait to get my pics in an album :)
Thanks for sharing! I like the rounded corners idea. I love this kit- I am capturing so many little details that I would normally not wmat to take the time to spend scrapbooking. Thanks Becky! And Debbie- I'm headed to Target!!!
Thanks to whoever recommended the collage/mosaic in Picasa for fitting several pics on a 4 x 6 print. I played around with it last night and it is a perfect fit for some of the things I want to do. Thank You!
Awesome ideas!
I just got my kit yesterday - I literally ran out the UPS truck. The poor driver didn't know what to think :)
It's so AMAZING! I love, love, love everything. I spend three hours putting it together last night and I just couldn't be happier.
Thank you for all your hard work and your grace in dealing with the sticky situations you've had to face in the last couple weeks.
This is the first kit i've ever bought and I can't wait to order more.
Thanks again :)
I love seeing how others are doing things. I am doing the same in that I am putting the circle days of the week markers over color. I feel you can't see it otherwise. Also I love the rounded corner look.
I do have a question I don't know if anybody can help me. I do not have my photoshop elements figured out that well. But I am despratly searching for a program or way to get 2 3x4's in the same 4x6. Does anybody have a favorite way of doing this??
Thanks!
Love more inspiration! I just got me kit on Monday and it is awesome. This is my first KOTM and I'm hoping to get chaught up on it this weekend. So versatile but quick and easy at the same time, a perfect fit for me. I love to have my own creativity in things so please continue to share more layouts for ideas. I'm sure this will come up, but how have people been incorporating the ribbon? I'd love to see that.
Thanks for continuing to share ideas for this project. It keeps my excitement about the project high!
I'm loving seeing all the different ways to use the kit as well. LOVE how she slightly embellished the swirly journaling card!!! And she changed it up a bit by moving the month card to the right side. I've opted to use Ali Edwards "Day and Month Photo Overlays" on all my pics instead of using the stickers. I LOVE the look! I just make another layer over my photo, stamp the brush, then pull back the opacity about 50% so that it's subtle, and all my photos have the day of the week on them. I love the simple frame around the edge and pulls all my photos together. This is the bestest kit EVAH!!!!
Visel Mum Mum: You might want to try PHOTOSHEETS at photility.com. It's pretty easy to use. Good Luck!
I also would love to buy a kit from somebody who gets an extra one!I live in Canada and my e-mail adresse is sabi_edelmann@hotmail.com
My confirmation e-mail from CK is not in their system and therefore I am not getting one!!!!
Please produce more of this type of kit!!This is my style to srapbook...
I love the project 365 ideas and i have been able so far to capture a picture for each day, i started dec.28. i have downloaded the free info from the kit, i was one of the unlucky ones and was not able to get a kit, but am going ahead on my own. i have ordered american craft album , but can not find the 6 up photo/page protectors with the small slots on the bottom of the page, does any one know where i can find these. i would appreciate any help that any one could share with me. i am new to this blog and hope i can get some help. thanks so much
I am one of those who is really excited about 365, and still snapping pics everyday. Thank you so much for the downloads as well. Great idea! Do you have any insight as to where we could get the appropriate sized page protectors? I would love to start putting this together. Thanks again for all you have done for those who missed the boat as it were.
Thanks for sharing what Maggie has done. I love the idea of rounding the corners. I have been making an effort to take horizintal pictures, but have taken some verticals - I was going to put them in the journaling spots, but like the idea of combining into 1 photo.
Thanks for the layouts. I am going ahead taking pics and journaling...but this really makes me WANT A KIT! Not sure what all the problems were, but they have got to know that they would be CRAZY not to release it again!
Visel mum mum, email me at smileyfish76@hotmail.com I can give you directions. I couldn't figure out how to email you on your blog.
Received my kit yesterday and it is FANTASTIC! I did my first two layouts digitally and now I'm looking forward to printing out my pictures for this week and using the kit.
I have to say I wasn't sure about scrapbooking like this but now that I have the kit and I see the whole concept I have to say WOW this will definitely change the way I scrapbook! It is pure freedom!
I totally love the kit and hope that CK makes more kits like this.
I'm just so happy! Can't wait to get my kit. Thanks for a relaxing and memorable 2009!
Can't wait to get my kit..does anyone know when the backorders will ship out???
You can also make 4x6 collages on snapfish.
Great examples! I don't know if you will read this, or if you even know, I won one of the kits in the giveaway before the release. I emailed my address but never heard anything. I haven't received my kit and I am hoping that I will still be getting one! I have been keeping up with my photos but I can't wait to get it put together!

Does anyone have any ideas/pics of their first page in the 365 album? I'm not too sure how to go about the front page. thanks!
I bought 2 kits, one to do for my family this year, and one to do starting in May, as soon as school is out, for my son, who will be a senior in the fall. I am going to do a 365 day book for him of his last year at home...some will be from my perspective, and some from his. I have done the usual school and baby books for him, but wanted something different. My only problem is that I didn't realize the albums said project 365 on them. I wondered if there are other albums out there that would fit these page protectors. Otherwise an idea would be to alter the album cover, but have never done this.
Thank you for sharing, I didn't get the kit so I am trying to do this all without it and it's nice to see a few completed weeks to keep me on track and focused! It's greatly appreciated...
It's so great to see these wonderful ideas. I haven't gotten my kit yet (it's backordered) so I can't wait to begin putting all my pictures and journaling together. This project has kept me much more consistent on my blog site too! Thanks!!
Another thing I took away from this is VARY your shots----some days be sure to fill the frame! Other days, take shots farther away or of more people. Looks nice that way w/variations. =)
I like Maggie's pages! Is she using the 4x6 page protectors or all on 1 sheet?
Visel Mum Mum:
You can download Picasa3 (from Google) for free
If you pick 2 photos to 'collage' and select your size to 4x6 you will get (2) 3x4 photos --if you selected 4 photos to collage you would get (4) 2x3's
HTH!
Love Maggie's ideas for the kit!
If anyone has an extra kit to spare?...please email me and I can paypal you the money.
Thanks!
Amy

Thanks so much for sharing some layouts. They look great!
Thanks for the Picasa tip too!
I live in Canada and did not get a kit. I ordered one through eBay. Cost me a fortune, but I think it will be worth it in the end. I hope they will order more because they will make great gifts too.
This is so great to see. Great idea's on adding some personal touches.
Becky thank you so much for the kit.
I truly feel so lucky to have gotten one.
I actually got 2 and I am sending one to my sister in California, and when we are done this time next year, we are going to mail them to each other so we can share. I am on the east coast now so I feel like I miss so much.
I think this will become a yearly tradition between us.
Thank you Thank you so much
This is such a cute example of how versatile your kit really is. I just received mine Monday and I was so excited that I spent an hour just playing with all of it. Oddly enough my favorite part is the library style date stamp. It's just perfect. I plan on trying something different with each week's layout. I'm going to let this be the year that I get out of my "scrapping bubble". Thanks for the tips and inspiration Becky.
It is cool to see what everyone is doing. I didn't even think about not turning my camera until I got the kit so I just printed those smaller for the other pockets.

I called CS and they told me that backorders would be filled the first week in February or sooner. She also said the kits are there, but are behind in shipping.
I'm only printing out my pictures once a month with Snapfish (which, by the way you can make a 4x6 collage).
For my first page, I'm going to include a passage from Ecclesiates, a picture of our house, 2009, and one more picture. On the bottom row, I'll include a picture of everyone in our family, including our doxie, Molly. On the last page, I'm going to take a picture of the row of trees in our yard during all four seasons and the back of all of the people in our family.
Can't wait to get my kit!!!
I'm WAY more on track this year than I was last year with Project 365. I've taken a picture every day, edited them, and have them in ONE file on my computer. SHOCKERS!
Yesterday I was in the big city and stopped by my favorite scrapbook store. Since the kit's availability is still up in the air, I purchased a few things to help myself. I bought a 6x9 journal with a fun cover that has 150 pages in it (that's 300 days) with the idea that I can add flaps for more pictures. Every once in a while, I'll create a little flip book to stick on a page and have an entire week there. It's not quite as visual as having one whole week visiable at the same time, but it totally works for me!
Snapfish has free shipping (if you order 100 or more 4x6 prints) (oh, is it okay to put that plug in here??? SORRY!), so I'm busy uploading my first few weeks picture so I can get an order placed.
If the kit does become available, I'm going to order it for next year. I'm LOVING this project!!!
Thanks, Becky, for so much inspiration!!!!
I have been having a lot of fun working on mine. I have been ordered to take it easy until they can get my migraine under control so That means time to spend with this.
So...
I took 4x6 index cards and wrote a note in each corner as to what the date was. So Now when I take a picture I I can jot a quick note as to what it was, then when I develope the photos it is easy to find where they go. I have them set up for the entire year.
Also...
I am adding digital frames to my photos, much like the tranparencies included with the kit. Easy to do and they Look Great!
Hope that makes sense
Anyhoooo, Just wanted to share.
Boy, the more I see of it, the more I wish I could have gotten that kit. My homemade one is okay, but I like yours a LOT better!
Here is my take! I am completing this project digitally with Photo Shop Elements. I posted my project so far for this month.

Feel free to post questions on my blog and I will answer the best I can.
Becky, I have a question..
I was able to order the kit on the first after what seemed like hours..
I was emailed an order number and my credit card was charged on Jan 5 for the 3 kits.. but it's the 14th and I still have nothing..
who is the best to call...
I am getting nervous..
thanks..
Monique
Here are my first pages, if interested!

And THANK YOU, Becky, for the trifold journal cards! I have discovered that I am a bit *wordy*!
Becky...could you please put your "title" page from your 365 album on your blog..I'm not quite sure what to do on that first page and would love some ideas!!! Thanks, Amy
Just another Picasa tip:
for those of us who did not get the kit but downloaded Becky's .jpg's ---- if you open one of the journaling .jpg's in Picasa there is a 'tint' tool that will allow you to change the color of the journaling card.
Just to give you more versatility with the 4 journaling .jpg's the backgrounds are basically white but you can tint them blue, red, green, etc... save them and you have something a bit different.
I'd love to see a sample title page too!
Love how everyone has their own vision with the kit! Keeps the project F U N !!! Thanks Becky!

LOVE the layouts!! BTW, any word on whether or not the kit will be available again?? Just wondering before I start doing the project myself :) As always, thanks for the inspiration!!
Does anyone know where we can purchase the page protectors like the ones that are in the kits???
I did not recieve a kit and am trying to do this on my own.email me at
bucke@baddnet.net
becky??? are you out there?? do you have any suggestions or are the page protectors no where to be found except in the kit??martha
Thanks for sharing some additional inspiration! :D
Great job with the LO Maggie and thanks for sharing Becky. I have my completed LO's on my blog as well. I've seen some people using the digi's to write their journaling but I love the hand written type. Ever since getting the "love your handwriting" book I try to add my handwriting whenever I can.
Have a great day!
i thought you were awesome before but now i REALLY think you're awesome!
I'm not sure, but have you made the announcement yet about making more kits yet?
Maegan
Hi Becky - I saw your article in CK magazine and loved the idea. I am in the UK so didn't even try to get a kit (as I thought it would sell out quickly!!!!)
I was just going to stick my photos on a 12x12 bit of cardstock and use some pp, but then you did the DL so I am now a very happy bunny!
Thanks again for the inspiration and the DL

Becky, do you have any updates yet? I got a confirmation saying that it was scheduled to ship 1/5 and have not yet receive it. I tried calling CS and they said could see my order, but told me that it was on backorder and couldn't give me a date for shipment. My CC has been charged (I thought that we would only be charged upon shipment?).
Thanks for your help!

I love the idea of doing 2 vertical photos...but how do you print a 3X4?? I don't have photo shop...just an older Mac with iPhoto.
Just wondering if someone could explain how to take two pictures and make them into one 4X6 so I can print it normally...without having Photoshop!
I am sooooo hoping that there will be a reorder...I didn't even hear about this kit until it was sold out!
Anyone looking for 4x6 page protectors can find them at Pebbles Inc. web site. They are pretty reasonably priced.
Check it out.
Thank-you so much for all the fun ideas... for the first time in a long time I actually am excited and look forward to scrapbooking. another thought.... It would be great if we could buy extra of the 'plastic pages' in case we wanted to do extra pictures.
Love the rounded corners. Guess what? Now I'm going to end up doing that to all the photos! More work? Yes, but totally worth it. Thanks for the beautiful kit and the inspiration. I am so looking forward to the freedom this kit will give me to keep up with my growing family but to also "catch up" on years past. Thank you Becky! ;-)

Wow that looks fantastic. It really looks like a scrapbook and not a photo album where you are slipping in photos. I love the rounded corners and that she moved the Week Of panel around.

Wel, I just found this blog last night and I am so happy to be here! I have been reading about project 365 and i love the layouts and ideas!!! Unfortunately, mine I found out too late, so mine will have to be naemd "Project 346!" Well, beter late than never!
Yikes! Sorry for all of the typing errors. I must be a little TOO excited! :)
For those asking about multiple pictures on one print, my sister and i use the koday kiosk at walmart. you go to the button that says something about mini prints and you can do 2, 4, or 9 pictures on a 4x6 print. The 2 on one works really well if you have 2 vertical prints you want to include. you can print them on one sheet then cut them apart to use in the journal pockets. I did this because i had pictures of 3 phone poles that i used as my pic of the day then mounted 2 journaling squares on an extra piece of paper and put it into one of the 4x6 slots. i will try to take a picture of it and post it to my blog at: http://rumaerth.blogspot.com
