continued 365 ideas
As I think of, or hear of, more ideas to inspire those of you that are involved in doing Project 365 ... I will share them. Here are today's thoughts from fellow readers:
1. Kolette Hall is giving her Project 365 a twist on gratitude. You will be inspired reading & seeing her approach here.
2. "Heather" is going to give each family member a week in the project. They will take their pictures with every other person in the family and have them write something they love about that person. Heather illustrates an example: "During Lily's week I will take a picture of her with her dad, me, Ashton, Bailey, Daisy, probably one with just Lily and maybe a picture of some of the things she is in to right now. In the journaling I will have her tell me something she loves about each person."
3. "Briana" says that she is a teacher and a parent asked her to take a photo of her child during class and e-mail it to her. She says, "I was more than happy to! I thought it was funny that we were both doing the project! You could also send a camera with your kiddo to school and have them document what they do on a daily basis." Note to self: I am sending a camera to school with Porter soon. Love this idea.
4. "Amy" shared how her husband's grandfather passed away recently. She got a picture of him from her stash that best fits him, to use as the picture of the day. Then she took one of the tri-fold journaling cards and had family members write memories or things they would remember most about him. Amy loves that a piece of him and his legacy, is now a part of their family's Project 365.

These are all great ideas! Thanks for sharing and keep 'em coming!!
Great ideas, Becky. I was thinking this morning it'd be cool to have DH do a week of his life at work. Now to just talk him into it! :)
Thanks for sharing these ideas. I loved Kolette's blog!! (Just when I was trying to wean myself from the blogosphere, I found another good one! LOL!) Wanted to say that I am so into this project!! I just went to Costco yesterday to pick up my second batch of pictures for my album. I don't have one of yours. I'm using a Pioneer 4x6 pocket photo album with 6 pockets per page for my project. I'll use two pages per week and I'll probably buy two albums for the year (either that or add pages to it). I'm using album style no. MP-46. Anyway, this is the best idea for a family album EVER! I'm planning to use this idea to organize most of my pictures from years past. Thank you for inspiring me, Becky!
Stacy :-)
taking a camera to school is a great idea, unfortunately our kids aren't allowed to have a camera at school, rules........ privacy issues,
Tam is right (unfortunately). Be sure to check with your child's campus - some of them have very strict no camera rules because of FERPA. In the middle school and high school where I used to teach, kids faced disciplinary action if they were caught taking pictures on campus. Sad, isn't it?
On a happier note, I'm loving what everyone is doing with Project 365!
Hi Bekcy - I've been folowing yoru blog for a few months now (and love it!!). I have spent a little (very little) time going back into the archives and noticed a couple of times you ahve shared different products that you like. I was wondering if sometime when you have notheing better to blog about (ha, ha, ha)if you would do an updated Becky's favorite things blog and maybe mention your favorite point and shoot camera (I hate mine), favorite albums, page protectors, pens, you know, some of the basic stuff. Thanks so much and I really do look forward to reading your blog each day!
Love all these ideas! I got confirmation that my kit FINALLY shipped today. I am so excited to have it in my hands and start assembling! It is thrilling to know that 2009 album will actually be complete by Jan 1 of 2010. Since I am just finishing the family 2007 album!
Becky, totally off subject, but are you still shooting RAW? I recently added the Adobe PSE plugin for RAW and am wishing there were a quick, simple process for conversion without looking at EVERY detail (e.g., color, saturation, contrast, etc.) since I don't have the time, but I am wanting to do RAW editing with some favorite photos. Can you tell me what your "workflow" is? How do you make it easy so you can spend your precious time scrapbooking instead of messing with photos but at the same time get the benefit of RAW?!? This befuddles me!! =)
I know this RAW issue was an earlier post you made, but I am just recalling it. Sorry everyone for the off-topic comment! =) (But I am lovin' P 365, thought, and also using it to also work on my photo skills!)
QUESTION AGAIN: Why was my CC charged when I was told my kit would not ship for another 4-6 weeks? Originally I was told that my CC would not be charged until my kit shipped. No one at CK can answer this for me. Thanks!
DeAnna- I am in the same boat at you. CC charged a long time ago. CK customer service actually told me that it would be credited and then charged again before it shipped. Never happened. And to be honest, I fear that if they credit my card between now and then, I won't get a kit at all! So I've decided to just wait with my cc charged and hope to see a kit by mid-February. Yeah, not so good for the customer.
Hi Becky,
I hope you don't mind me doing this here.... I wanted to say a public THANK YOU to Teri who as you know, rather than profit on ebay sold me a kit at cost price. I just received it today, all the way down here in Sydney, Australia.
It is a wonderful kit and I am VERY, VERY grateful to Teri. So, thank you so much Teri, and ofcourse Becky for a fantastic kit.
Tara
Hi Becky,
How are you? I'm not quite sure how to get a hold of you, except here. I am wondering if there is any chance you would like to give away one of your products on my blog Give Away Today? You can visit the blog by going to www.giveawaytoday.blogspot.com. I'd say such nice things about your products because I love them all (and own many of them). I know any of your products are something the visitors of Give Away Today would love to win.
If you are at all interested, please let me know by emailing me at giveawaytoday@hotmail.com.
Thanks!
Hi Becky! I completed a December Daily mini-album for Dec 2008 (via Ali Edwards' inspiration) and was slightly burned out on Dec 31st! So I decided to start my own Project 365 on my birthday in April and follow it as a year in my life. I love your great ideas and enthusiasm on your blog!! Sherri from Washington
Hi Becky,
I'm wondering if you already have done or would consider creating a KOTM for a album based on your book "Family History Scrapbooking". Just got the Sweet Baby Album for my baby shower and love love love it. Love that Family History book and would love to see a kit based on it. And just discovering these KOTMs, love the 365 Album - maybe someday there will be more to purchase. i'll be in line. =)
Thanks
I love the sharing of ideas and I am loving the process of playing with this album. My husband has been on a business trip to India for the past two weeks, I am definitely going to incorporate his photos and journaling into our album. I will also incorporate how lonely I've been without him.
DeAnna4140-
I have found someone responsive at CK / Holden Marketing Group (the company that ships for them). Her name is Stephanie Brath----if you e-mail her about your order, she will probably tell you what she told me and that is that your order is on backorder and should ship mid-February. She assured me my card would be credited and then recharged when the product shipped. I just got that e-mail this morning so hopefully she's good for her word.
In these economic times it's not good to pay for something you won't have for a month!
Here's her e-mail:

Customer service told me the same thing as you, Michelle...bummer! I just hope our orders don't get lost!
Anyway have you seen on the weekend news your week in 3 words? I'm going to do that with my family for one week and of course for inauguration day, I'm going to have my kids hold the newspaper.

Michelle,
Thanks for the info! I, too, am afraid that if I push getting my credit card credited that somehow my order will get canceled. I admit my enthusism is not as high but I still want to do the project. WHY were we told our CC would not be charged and then they charged us? WHY was the kit put on sale before it was ready to be shipped? This is the absolute worse customer service! My heart breaks for you Becky in all of this as I am sure you were not expecting this fiasco. As I said before, CK does NOT deserve Becky!!
I am surprising myself with how caught up in this I am. I haven't scrapbooked in years since going to a digital camera. This has been an awesome way to get back into having actual printed pictures. I am printing each photo everyday at home on my epson. So I am totally caught up to today.
One idea - I took a photo of a sign my 8 year old son with autism made. It said, 'I don't want to go to school today - do not throw away'. Then he taped it to the front door. Actually I scanned it in, then printed it out like a picture. Great documentation of his feelings. I've also had him write about a few pictures on the journaling cards. Its' great to see his handwriting on my pages.
THANKS Becky for all the inspiration for pics and journaling!!!
Hi everyone, I am doing the kit myself, and was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase days of the week stickers or what ideas you are using? If you could please comment back, or email me i would greatly appreciate it!!!

Hi everyone! I am new to the blogging experience (and what better place to start?!?!) and so I thought I would introduce myself! Hi! I am excited hearing about everyones project ideas and HOPING and PRAYING that I will be able to order one for myself. In the meantime, does anyone have any ideas for keeping up with the photos and such? Also, does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do with all of my photos if (Heaven forbid) I don't get a kit? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks and happy scrappin'!
