today's picture

A historical day. Some of you are celebrating, some of you are absolutely dreading the changes to come, some of you are indifferent. However you look at it ... it is what it is. Historical.

Remember: Project 365 can be about anything & everything. Paint the full picture. The little details in your life (what you eat for breakfast, potty-training triumphs, shoveling the snow, running a carpool) are important. Don't forget the bigger picture too. We are living history. Current events will help you paint the picture of your life with even more colors than otherwise.

becky,

right there with you girl.

i am giving my son the camera everyday this week. he's only six. but this is a family scrapbook.

i may have cheated a little today by getting him to photograph an image similar to yours, but this day is historic. I was also able to talk to him about the importance of today. finally, i wrote my sons a letter about this historic moment.

so many things to be thankful for.

have a great week!

also, love your house from what I can see) :) Your decorating style looks clean and just right. Maybe you'll give us a tour of your decorated home some day? Just a thought.

Hopefully, this didn't post twice but...

I have been taking pictures since GMA this morning of this historical day. Although I did set the DVR, I also took pics at work since they allowed us to watch on the plasma TVs at the job.

I plan on taking pics of my son watching it this evening.

I'll taking someone's suggestion of adding traditional scrapbook pages to my P365 for this occasion because it's such an awesome and historic day.

It's an even greater day since my P365 kit finally came in the mail today!!

I was wondering if there was ever any final word on whether CK will be ordering anymore 365 books? I know people will be asking me tonight.

If you have a chance, please email me at noell@paperclipping.com.

If you're interested in checking in, the show starts at 6:30pm MST. Here's the link...

I was torn for my pic today. Of course today being historic and all, but I'm 27 weeks pregnant and my little boy is 13 months today. So I'm doing a preggo pic and a pic of him instead (side by side). I'll just have to write that today was inauguration day!

I was in the van when he took the actual oath of office - so I took a picture of my radio and clock in my van. However, after I came home, I looked up the inauguration on one of the news websites because I wanted to *see* it. They had video of it. Yay! So, I took a picture of that. I wondered how many of us would use this as our "moment" today. :)

Off topic here but just went on Ebay to see if I could possibly buy a P365 and I can not believe what some people are asking for them!! I find it quite selfish when some people have been shipped more than they ordered and haven't returned them back to give someone else a chance. Today's kit went for $325 Canadian...gulp!

I had the same idea too for my p365 photo today! What an EXCITING day!!! But in addition to taking several shots of just the TV screen alone, I also made sure to get several shots of my dd (age 6) as she watched while eating breakfast before school this morning. (we are in Hawaii, so it was on very early in the AM for us!) She never watches TV on school mornings, but this was a special occasion and I didn't want her to miss getting to watch it LIVE. I managed to get an angle from behind her where she is watching the TV in the distance (at the moment of his oath, but at other times, too) and also mangaed to get the clock in the shot, showing how early in the morning it was here. I also took some other shots of her facing towards me but with the TV still behind her showing the Inauguration. I love that we will always have this frame of refernce, showing her age at the time, and her excitement!

I also plan to take a photo of the front page of today's newspaper.

I chose to mark the occasion by taking a picture on my TV of the outgoing president and first lady with the new president and first lady, the changing of the guard.

It turned out really well, and I plan to journal about my mixed feelings on this day.

Just a suggestion to those who may be feeling the same.

hsppy mommy I have that same picture. I'm fine with a new president but I have very mixed feelings about his stances on social/moral issues. I didn't vote for him, but I did watch the inauguration because it was such a historical day. I had planned to get a picture of him getting sworn in except we got 7 inches of snow, and that never happens here, so I had to get the kids playing in it instead. I saved the paper from today (Wednesday), so I need to think of something to do with that-maybe I can take a pic of the front page!

I also took a picture of the TV screen during Obama's Inauguration. If I can print it small enough so as not to use too much paper, I think I will copy the text of his speech from the internet. Then I will fold it up and stick it in behind the picture of him being sworn in. It was an exciting day.
