short & sweet

I've decided that moms should not get sick. Not for long periods of time anyway. I've been in bed for a solid week. I think I caught a couple of different things. It's not nice, and I'm ready to be a fun, functioning human being again. But I'm not there yet. So I need to keep this short & sweet. I have sooo much else to be catching up with right now.

On a happy note, I did receive a little package of happiness in the mail during my "down & out" time last week.

Got these Gloveables at organize.com and I am loving them. Many who know me, know that I have a thing for kitchen gloves. I think part of why I love these is that they're like a little celebration of being a homemaker. I love my divine role as a woman and everything that comes with it.

Now ... if I can just get better, then I can get right back to that life.

Hi Becky:

I hope you feel better soon. I know it's not fun being sick.

I got sick over Christmas and it took me 17 days to get better. It was not good.

I love the gloves. Very cute.

Feel better soon. :)

I'm RIGHT there with ya!!

My family has taken turns being sick for SIX WEEKS, and now it's my turn (which I could have done without)...heading to the dr. soon, I think it's the dreaded three-letter-word. And my daughter is home sick- AGAIN- today with me. We slept all morning.

Rest up- we moms aren't very good at that. Feel better soon!

And I love your gloves- I have a thing for aprons, check these out-

Just beginning to wonder about you. Sorry to hear that you have been ill. Glad you took the time to take care of yourself instead of trying to keep the public happy by updating every day. Continue to get well and we look forward to hearing from you again.

I agree that Mom's should not get sick. Our homes can't afford us to take sick leave.

I feel a little under the weather myself but really hope it doesn't get worse because I am suppose to go to the CKC in Portland this week.

Good job Becky on taking it easy. Thanks for letting us know how you are doing, we were getting worried.

Hi Becky,
So sorry to hear you're sick. I hope you feel better soon. My kids were sick all week 2 weeks ago and I prayed that I don't get sick too. I totally get it when you said "Moms cannot get sick". But thank you for posting. I am now a glove user. I actually just started because I develop some rashes on my hands from the dishwashing soap. All these years I never had a problem. It was very uncomfortable using the gloves but after about 2 days, it became second nature (just like taking a pic everyday for P365. THANK YOU SO MUCH for posting a pic of these new gloves. TOTALLY LOVE IT! I cannot wait to order. I'm glad I didn't get another set yesterday. Well... Take Care and just relax.

Yes! You gotta love the gloveables! I have 3 pairs...one pair for dishes, one pair for crafting (paint, hot glue, etc.) and one pair just because they are so darn cute I just needed an extra set. I also love being a homemaker and yes the gloves just add a little something...don't they!
My kids were sick too. Down for almost a week as well. Glad that everyone at your house (and mine) are all on the mend.

Hi Becky I have a question. When I submit work to be published do I have to do scans? I don't have a scanner and usually take pictures and send them in. Can I still do that? Thank you for your time. Hope you get to feeling better. : )

Hi Becky. I sure hope you feel better soon! I'm also hoping you can answer a question for me! I can not find the answer anywhere! Is there going to be a new kit of the month for March? I know all about the problems with the 365 kit, and that was the reason there was not a kit for February, but there are some of us out here who would REALLY love to see a new kit!! It was so hard waitng all through February, and now it doesn't look good for March either! PLEASE! I really hope the answer is yes! I am dying for a new kit!! Thank you! Barb :)

Hi Becky I hope you make a speedy recovery soon!

Becky I wanted to let you know that I am a scrapper from Australia and I ordered 3 Baby Kits in October 2008. As yet I have not heard anything from CK about my order. I did as you posted on your blog in January and emailed customer service. I received an acknowledgement email but that is all. I am really disappointed that I have not heard anything and we are already in March 2009. I am hoping that going via you someone at customer service might follow up with my order. Even if it's to tell me that they won't be sending the kits. At least that way I would know. I'm sorry to burden you with this considering you are not well and have a busy life but they just might do something if you make enquiries on my behalf.

My email is pinonatalia@hotmail.com
if you want to reply to this email.

BTW has anyone else received their Baby kits?

Thank you so much Becky I would appreciate your help.

Natalia ~ I did receive my baby kits back in October and they actually gave me my 2nd kit free of charge b/c my order had been lost 2 weeks prior. I had a great experience with the CK Management. I'm sorry to hear you have had no luck, I'm beginning to think CK is in trouble. I certainly hope not for our sake and Becky's.
Good luck in the future getting your kits:)

I just wanted to mention that I talked to customer service today and was told that the backordered Project 365 kits have arrived, and they would be shipping out within a couple of days.

I'm so glad, because I was just starting to price out making up my own kit and it would be really expensive to buy all the separate ingredients!

Hopefully we will be getting these soon!

I hope you feel better soon Becky!

Becky, do you get paid for your submissions to CK?
Have they told you they are going to only pay you 40% of the amount due to you?
That's what happening to people who have recently been published?
