spring break
This is our Spring Break week, so we headed over to Disneyland for a couple days. A bit crowded, so we just came back to our own little "happiest place on earth" (a.k.a. HOME). More fun planned, just closer to home base. But it was a good trip. Nothing like wiping the kids out with non-stop fun.

I love how Porter gets right in Crew's face to talk to him sometimes.
We even ran into a fellow "Project 365-er". I want to say her name was Jennifer? And I think her husband's name was Roger? Anyway, if you're reading my blog, HELLO! Fun to see you at Disney. Thanks for saying hi! Her husband snapped a picture of the 2 of us together and she said that would be her "picture of the day" for Project 365. I'm quite certain she got better pictures that day. Anyway, I told her that I was ONLY choosing one picture a day for my own Project 365 ... even being on a trip ... and letting go of any pressure to scrapbook full layouts.
Boy, that feels good. Still loving Project 365. Totally keeping up with it and seriously loving it. Did I mention how much I love it? Seriously. This is my kind of scrapbooking right now. Still doing layouts for the kids' albums and that's all good, but it's just so nice doing one picture a day for the family album.
Now ... if you'll excuse me ... I'm still on holiday and getting off my computer. Plus, I have a handful of days to catch up on for my 365.

I had an idea I'm going to try for Project 365. As tomorrow is the first day of spring, I'm going to take a picture of the outside of my home. Then, I'll do it again on the first day of summer, fall and winter. Living in the Midwest, I should see some changes!
I agree with you about home being the "happiest place on earth". :) I've enjoyed reading your entire website from food to your layouts, but especially your recent decor pictures. I'd love to see more pictures of Claire's room as I have our first baby (a girl!) due in June. I'm trying not to decorate her room as "baby" and have the same antique style as the hutch in Claire's room. Looking forward to future posts! Thanks for sharing Becky!
thanks for sharing! Enjoy your holiday!! I am, unforunately, *gulp* several weeks or dare I say maybe even a month behind in my project 365... I have the photos, just not in my computer... still hanging in my camera. Anyone else with me? I have some serious catching up to do!
Can you give us a break down of what you scrapbook in your kids albums? Do you a certain "basic" list you could share?
Hi Becky!
Nice to see you back. We live in Northern CA and have not been to Disneyland since having our almost 5 years old boy. We have been to Disney World though. We're hoping to go this year and take advantage of their free birthday pass.
I love Project 365. I'm proud to say that I'm up-to-date with my journaling. I develop my pictures at Costco at the end of the month or whenever our next shopping trip is and that's when I add the pictures. LOVE PROJECT 365 SO MUCH.
I'm loving Project365, too. I can't remember if I shared with you or not (and if I did, please forgive the duplication! I have four kids six and under and I'm over 40 - I have no memory!! ;) ) I managed to catch my son's first steps ON CAMERA thanks to Project 365! 10a.m. on 2/18 - just three days after his first birthday! Of course one of them was my picture of the day, but I also did a layout because I had so many of that cute stiff-legged walk. And now - he's *running* everywhere!
Good to know you are better and on Spring Break! We are too and just staying home.
I'm so excited. My friend in CA has my kit in her hot little hands and is sending it to my flight attendant neighbours hotel next week for him to pick up when he is in LA in a couple of weeks and deliver it back to me here in NZ....I almost have it!!!! YAY!! Can't wait to get all my photos into the album. Although 3 months of journalling isn't going to be so fun! lol
I've said this a few times but I am LOVING Project 365 too.
Now remind me where you are putting all the other photos? (In photo albums, Etc?)
I have to tell you how much I am loving p365 too. It's been so much fun! I just send all my pictures for the week to Costco and pick them up once a week. I keep my journaling up to date and keep getting more creative ideas..I love it and hope it continues-but if not, I'll try making my own! My sister is headed to Disneyland this weekend with friends-it's her first time and she's 15 so I'm excited for her!
I hope you had a wonderful time. Thank you once again for the Project 365.
Hey becky. I don't know if you remember me, I am Judy Pasley. I am friends with Lisa B. I went to lunch with her tuesday and she gave me a 365. It has been the hi-light of the last few days. we are at Huntsman cancer center, my husband has prostate cancer. I was so down, went out to the box she gave me and brought my stuff up to the room. I LOVE it. Thanks. it will be a blessing to record this year (and a few months into next year) It was my light in a dark world righ now!
Enjoy your holiday! I was just working on my 365 tonight. I was getting January and February placed in the album while my photographer hubby loaded March ontp the computer for me to tackle next. It's a team effort over here! LOL :-)
Looooooving Project 365!!!
I have a five month old (our miracle invitro baby!) and I looooooove that I'm recording the small snippets of his first year (and of course all the other fun stuff in life!)
I totally want to do it again next year too (I might be singing a different tune in December but right now I'm totally doing it again!!)
here's my blog... www.maryruth-project365.blogspot.com
I am loving Project 365....though I only started on the 1st of March...still it is a fun thing to do!!
Have a great spring break!!
Monique
I'm glad that no one else caught the bug you had. I hope you had a wonderful vacation. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. :)
I have not started my 365 yet. I am starting it on my Birthday I figured it would be fun. I like your stroller, what brand is it, I am looking for a double stroller and have not liked the ones I have seen.
Thanks
glad to see everyone is healthy. thought for sure you were all sick. still LOVING my 365 project as well!
Hi Becky!
I also wanted to let you know how much I am LOVING P365! In the past, I have had a hard time scrapping our every day life. It seemed like I was just scrapping holidays/events/birthdays and I really wanted more. I am so happy with the every day images I have captured! Next week I am going to document our weekday schedule. I have already made a list of the photos I want to take and made a list of how our days usually go. I think I will use 2(3x4) photos per day and my first picture will be of the clock when I usually wake up (6:15am) and the last picture will be when I usually go to bed (midnight). Thank you so much for making this kit!
How was Disneyland with a baby? Did you take turns staying with the baby and going on rides? We have a 7 month old and I wondered how we would do Disneyland! Looks like fun!
Glad you're back!
Heather
When is Creating Keepsakes going to make Project 365 available for us to purchase? Still waiting and wanting to purchase the kit. Thanks!
Kelly, Michigan
HELLO to you too! You're right--we're Jennifer and Roger. It was so great to see you there. Thanks for indulging my need for a photo. My boys thought it was cool to see someone from the cover of a magazine that was in our car on the trip.
I figured out where we would have met besides just seeing each other at AZ conventions and CKU--my friend and I were TAs in your class at the Phoenix convention about two years ago.
Glad you made it home safe. I love the comment about home being "the happiest place on earth". We had that conversation on the way home--how that was our happiest place as well and we were all ready to get back.
Hope you were here in So. Cal last weekend or at the beginning of the week when we had beautiful weather. It's been cold and dreary these past two days. But then, Disneyland is always fun not matter what the weather is like.
I agree that it's great to get away but it's always fun to return home, your happiest place on earth.
Doing Project 365 but I wasn't able to order a kit so I'm figuring out what to do. I bought Photoshop last month so I think I'll try to make digital pages and put them into a photobook. Unless you design a photobook for Shutterfly (hint, hint). ;-)
Thanks for all your inspiration. Enjoy your weekend.
Hi Becky! I've been tearing my house apart to find my two favorite idea books - your sketch idea books. I have the Best of Sketches, but I love those first 2 idea books too. I fear my husband recycled them! I've checked Ebay, but there is only one of the books. Is there anyway to get copies of them again?
Your friend Jody in Michigan
Hi! Could someone shed some light on what project 365 is?
Thanks! I love your blog by the way! Such an ADORABLE play room....loved that post =).
this is off topic Becky, but I am wondering if you have sketches available for 6" x 12" pages? I hope you are able to respond. Thanks!
What a cute pic of the kids- love the interaction of the two there!
to jody: if you go to the products section of becky's blog you can order the first two books there and my daughter also ordered them for friend of the creating keepsakes site.
I am so happy to finally get my Project 365 -- I am "tickled pink" with it and glad I waited. It arrived on Wednesday. On Thursday I sent 79 digital photos to Costco and spent all day yesterday getting the first 79 days of 2009 officially into the book!
I'm caught up.
I'm happy.
Thanks Becky!
If I ever meet you I will totally take a picture and make it my picture for the day. Love it!
nothing related to p365 or all things disney - i want to know where you got that cute pink bag on your stroller?
What happened to the CK KOTM blog? Did it move, or is it gone?
I'm loving my kit...but I could use some new inspiration!
Hi Becky! I sure do hope you read your comments becasue I am looking for a friend you and I have in commonn. I have lost touch with Lyn and am pretty sure she moved. Our sons (Lyn's, yours and mine) all went to camp together last summer, so I already feel like I know you. : ) Can you send me an e-mail, please? I would greatly appreciate it!

Becky, I hope your spring break was fabulous! I am a third grade teacher and our break starts April4th. I cannot wait, my kids and I are driving to Washington DC to see my parents and sister. I am looking forward to reading more about what you and your family did. Keep those awesome ideas of yours coming! BTW- Loved the March edition of CK. You look amazing as usual!
Becky, what is the best brand of 12x12 album to house the school kit of the month? Thanks
Kimberly,
It's still there - kitofthemonth.blogspot.com
For Shelly above, the bag is called the MotherShip refer to Beckys post September 8th.
To Ness: I can't say for sure, but am pretty confident that Becky will say to use the We Are Memory Keeper brand with 3 rings.
Becky, forgive me if I am in error!
Wanted to invite everyone to participate in my photo challenge next week!

I am also current on my Project 365 photos. I do my editing and printing every 2 weeks and then I assemble it into my own "self-made" album. I wasn't one of those lucky few who got their hands on the kit so I had to improvise. Thankfully, this is giving me the chance to make use of my stash. I've also been using the digital files for my Week Of titles.
I was just curious if you, or anyone who reads these comments, knows if there is a product out there that replicates the memorabilia pockets featured in the baby kit and the school kit. Please email me at mdp367@hotmail.com with any information. Thank you.
Hi Becky!
Glad you're having (or had) a great spring break....we're enjoying ours this week - love having the kids home!
I was wondering if you would share which lenses you like since you've switched your DSLR to Nikon? I'd love to have input!
Thanks,
Jonica
