which one?
Hello there.
My friend Brooke (who, by the way, happens to be the one who does my hair) had a baby a couple weeks ago. Time to send out an announcement to friends & family. So I snapped some pictures & made a couple of options for her ... and she can't decide which one to print to send out.

So if you happen to be in an opinion-sharing mood today, will you drop a quick comment & let us know your vote? Green or blue.
PS - Don't you love this age of digital convenience? This announcement is literally an image with text. That's it. That's all. I remember when I used to spend hours & hours on mass-producing cards, announcements, thank-you notes. No regrets. Fond memories, actually. But I love how Photoshop has helped me to SIMPLIFY.

LOVE them both!! Kind of leaning toward the green...so sweet to see all the fingers and toes!
So very cute. I love close ups, so I chose the blue.
OMG, they are super cute but going with it's a boy, I like the blue one the best!
#1 all the way! that is my new beautiful nephew. great pics too! can't wait to meet him.
Both gorgeous...leaning towards the green one as well.
Oh my! I love the green one!
If the green one is the one on the bed, that is my vote. Love the fully body shot with all his precious wrinkles. Congrats to your friend.
They are both super cute, but the green one is my vote!
Awww, such a cute baby! I like the first one (green?) You did a great job with both of them!
Green, green, green! Love it!
I choose green, although both are great!
blue...i love to see babies eyes.
So cute! Love the blue one!
I love them both - but the first one is so great since it shows his whole body...what a cutie!!
I say blue!! :-)
Love them both, but love the green the best!
I like the blue!
I love both but... since it will probably be the first chance for most friends and relatives to see his sweet face I think I would chose the blue.
Who does not love tiny babies little legs? Absolutely love the first one on the bed....Green is my vote for sure.
Definitely BLUE!!!
Such a cute face, you gotta show it off!
Hard to decide since they are both really nice, but I think people love to see baby faces so I would vote for the close up..the second one is my choice. Beautiful baby..
GREEN....GREEN....GREEN....GREEN
all the way!
So is Cohen his first name or last name?
Love all of it!!!
Blue all the way!
I love them both - she should order an equal amount and alternate which one she sends out (like every other envelope)... if that makes sense! LOL
Green is my vote but as I am reading through the comments, I see a mix of both ( they are both quite cute!) You are going to have to count the votes and let us know!!!
BTW- I am having a photo challenge on my blog next week- anyone is welcome to participate! The more the merrier!

They are both really great. It is hard to choose! But I really like the green!
I like the green better. I think I'd like the close up better if he was looking towards the camera.
The blue and brown is gorgeous! Love the green too but I vote for blue!
The green one. It is so cute to see the entire little guy.
Lisa A.
Raising my hand for the green one...even though on my computer screen it looks gold! Still a fabulous picture!
Beautiful! I like the green one the best though.
They are both wonderful! I would go with the blue as I agree with previous posters that those who are "meeting" him via the announcement would love to see his face.
I also like the idea of using both!
Merilee
I Love the BLUE! That is my favorite!
The first one!! He is just so very sweet!!
They are both so cute, no wonder she can't decide! My initial reaction was blue, but then love how much you see of him in the green one - I love the baby wrinkles and little toes. So basically I'm no help, sorry.
I like the second one better for skin tone alone!
I love the full body shot, but the pillows on the bed distract me. If you blurred those a bit, I would pick that one. The blue one has the focus on the cutie pie.
blue absolutely!! no question about it!! the closeup is fabulous and really draws you in!!
no wonder she cant decide! they are both so cute. I like the close up which is the blue. awesome job.
kelly n
Definitely and most certainly the GREEN one! I can't wait to have a little one of my own so I can do something simple and totally CLASSY like this!
Blue is my vote!
my first impulse is the green, although I love them both! I love the way the camera angle emphasises how small he is!
Congrats, Brooke! He is gorgeous!
#1 & I love photoshop for that same reason. I have done several announcements, invites, etc., with images with texts. So sweet!
I agree with Stephanie. The green one lets the "bed" distract me. Almost like an advertisment. The blue one shows BABY!
LOVE IT!!!
Oh, the green is too precious. Look at those legs! So sweet. My vote is for green. Love it.
Definitely blue - to highlight his precious face and beautiful eyes.
Blue, its fun to see which side of the family he looks more like. Love the close up.
They're both precious, but the first one is just a tad bit feminine. Love the blue in the second one.
I love the first one, the green one. What a great picture.
#1
very cute baby!
I love the green one. You get a real sense for how big he really is.
Green. Those legs are fantastic....just the right number of wrinkles!! And they won't last long. My thoughts!
Blue by far - so simple and the focus goes right to the baby instead of the bedspread and beautiful room!
They're both super cute, but my vote is BLUE!
My vote is for the blue one! Great closeup
LOVE the blue!
If it doesn't cost anymore, print some of each. Way more fun! :D
Love them both. But I'll vote for Green. Love to see all of him. ;-)
Blue for "Beautiful" face.
I love the blue one. But, I agree with another person's comment, order equal amounts of both and send them each out!!! SO CUTE!
Definitely green - with those wrinkles and all!
LOVE the green one. I love that the whole baby is in the shot. Beautiful photos Becky!
I like the blue...you can see his beautiful little face!
They're both adorable! I'm leaning more towards the 2nd one. Close ups are nice. When I get an announcement, I really want to see what the baby looks like.
Love the blue one! Would you mind sharing the fonts you used on it! So cute:)
Awe, how sweet! I like the blue. Up close and personal!
Blue!!
While I love the the color of the green I think the blue one shows Cohen better. Both way cute, but I like the blue one better.
Green!!!
As well...love the comments and reasons for their choices. I personally love the green for it shows the tiny size of a new life, so tiny on his parents' big bed. Also, you get to see the details of his "newness". Although facial close ups are always beautiful, it is so refreshing to see the teeny everything, wrinkles and all with the green announcement. Love it!!! Plus, there are plenty of other opportunities to share those precious close ups.
I like the first picture! Love the fingers & toes. :)
Love his facial expression in the blue! That is my vote!
Green, green, green! Love it, so cute.
Blue - I like the close up of his face.
I like the 2nd one, so sweet & congrats to your friend.
I really love the blue - what a doll!
i love the blue! you can see his perfect face up close! ps... what font did you use for "cohen?" love that.
I have to go with the green, but they are both very cute!
I say Green!!!
I'm voting for green
I like the first one. Those wrinkly knees are hard to resist!
For me, the bed is distracting. Love, love the blue!! Looks so high-end professional!
Love the blue... I love the blue and brown combination and that sweet face.
The green one is catching my eye! Love it!
Becky, I am a long time, silent fan. I thought I could weigh in on this vote since I love to "create" all my announcements, invites, holiday cards... you get the idea. Anyway, I tend to use close ups, because we live a long distance away from all family members (spread out all over the country). Our older relatives like to be able to "see" the pictures of our children.
By the way, do you have a special Photoshop program that you would recommend? (Thanks in advance for your info sharing.) -- Heather
The blue one is the one where I notice the baby and my eyes are drawn to his eyes. The green one is nice, but the baby gets lost in the details of the bed. My vote is blue
Green is my fave! Both are too cute--I need to get Photoshop!
I like the blue best - you can see his face so much better!
I love the one on the bed! Incredible!
Blue - both are so, so cute!
I love the blue announcement since you can see his face much better...so precious.
have to go with blue! so fun!
I love both but I'll say blue for the detail & close up of his face; not to mention it'll pretty much say he's a boy
Adorable! I vote the green ~ there is no way you can lose that precious baby on the bed ~ it just brings into focus how tiny & amazing a new life is.
HollyM
Both are adorable, but I vote for blue all the way! Congrats!
I vote for blue! The baby almost looks cold and uncomfortable in the green one. I say go for close up...snug as bug in that brown rug! LOL!
I love the top one which I'm assuming is the green. Shows all that newbornness in the skin and toes. You did a great job. Either way, I'm sure those that will receive one will love them. :)
I love the blue; it really captures the blue of his eyes. What a beautiful little face!
GREEN, definitely!
Green! He's precious!
Blue!
I Love the Green! The little footsie sticking straight up in the air is too cute.
I like the green. Maybe she could get both and send different ones to different people. That is what I did for our Christmas photo card. Great Grandma loved that her card was different then Grandmas! Either way she can't go wrong
The green one.
BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A closeup is definatly best in my opinion for a birth announcement.
I'd go with the Blue one! They are both adorable.
Hi Becky,
Great work - I would select the green one. I love the background and being able to see the entire baby is so very cute!
Enjoy this spring day.
Veronique
Definitely BLUE!
Both very cute, but the blue shows such a content look.
BLUE!! Love the close-up and the blue/brown color combo. What a sweet little guy.
Love the BLUE!
They are both cute. The blue focuses on the baby. The green actually seems to focus on the bedding.
Love the 2nd option!
The second one!
the blue one!!! so cute!!
I love the blue one - you can really see his adorable face!!
the green one for sure!
I can't resist the close-up of that sweet baby face so I choose the blue.
Love them both but my vote is #1, the green one. Just something about it that I love, feels like a magazine cover or something, I don't know! I'm with you on the simplifying with Photoshop, too! Doesn't get much better than that during the business of life! Have I told you how much I love Project 365 for THAT very reason.
BLUE - the other one is nice but almost too much going on. Blue one is simple.
Beautiful little boy! My fave is blue!!!
They are both adorable, but I love the green one! It shows that cute little bundle off in his entirity. Too cute.
GREEN for fingers & toes!!
Blue. I love them both, but I think that he kind of gets lost in the green. LOVE the close-up in the blue!
Love the green and his cute little body all over the place! They're both great so it's hard to choose. Congrats!
GREEN all the way!
They are both beautiful. I do like the blue one just a little bit more though.
Blue, definitely. Can see the baby's face better. Cute announcements!
You are a wonderful scrapbooker and photographer!!
I would pick the green one! Both are adorable!
Congrats!
Both are awesome but I LOVE the green one. Love those little legs kicking :)
Love the green - though they are both great. I can see why you are having a hard time choosing.
I love the first image which I think is the green one. Those little piggies and fingers are so sweet and really make me smile.
Blue - too many distractions in the green.
Like them both, but I'm really drawn to the sweet expression in the blue. She can't go wrong either way.
I say go with the close up! Very cute pic!
I vote for Blue
Definitely green!!
Thanks for sharing them!
I vote for the first one, with the bed.
Both are so cute! But the green one caught me eye...love that photo!
I vote blue. what an adorable baby!
I love the blue!
The 1st one - totally adorable!!
They are both precious...but I choose green as it is more unique!
I like seeing those skinny lil' chicken legs - that's what makes you remember what babies are like when they first arrive.
I like the green one, because it shows the whole baby. But I still LOVE to make cards. Especially for a birth announcement. It`s so personal and you`ll never forget the special time making them for all your loved ones.
Blue one! Love how you can see his face.
I would probably go with the blue for my announcements. Both are lovely photos though.
Blue for sure, although both are very nice, there's something about the blue one that I like a tiny bit more -- hard decision choosing just one though!
Green - there is something about baby toes!!!
I vote green!
I choose Blue!
i prefer to see the 'close up' shot - i guess that is the 'blue' one. They are both great - maybe she should use the second one to make postage stamps to go on the announcements :)
blue
Both so cute, but I like the green the best!
blue here..just look at that face!
They're both just precious! If I had to just pick one, I think I'd have to pick #2!
blue!!
Green! Love the fingers and toes!
Love the green one. Both are precious in their own way--just love the whole body shot. So precious!
Hi Becky,
love the green one.
Suz
definitely green !! Newborns are such fresh, innocent, baby skin and all!! Those little, weeny legs before they put on the pudge!! Definitely green.
The blue one is classic though... great photo, so pure....
My vote is for the blue. I love the close-up photo and I think it makes his name and the essential info stand out!
I like the blue because I love close ups. Either way is great though - both are precious. Nice work Becky.
GREEN - love it!
Blue--love the close up
love the whole body thing...kicking toes! so cute! green. green. green.
blessings on your new arrival (friend of Becky).

Wow, they're both beautiful but the blue is spectacular with baby's sparkly eyes are serene expression.
Definitely blue!
I love them both, but I am leaning towards the green. Love the full body shot and the diaper.
Go Green!
Green for me!
Both are beautiful, but I'd have to vote for the green one. Love seeing the whole adorable baby!
I love the one on the bed. It shows how tiny he is!!!
I really like them both. However I think the first one is more unique in the layout, etc. One adjustment I might personally make would be to add some color (maybe the little lines between the info) to help people know that he is a boy! Good luck!
I totally agree about how awesome this age of technology has helped save us time on things like this!
I like both, but my vote goes for the first one on the bed!
I agree with the multitude. I love them both! Beautiful pics, Becky!! But I am a close-up girl, so I have to vote blue.
I love the close-up (blue) - such a sweet look on his face! ~Tanya
i love the blue one.
wow! 174 comments, i feel silly leaving one, just one more to read...LOL! I love the BLUE! Lvoe the name too!
The first one ... on the bed ... easy choice!
Both are top notch, but the blue one shows his face better and I love his expression -- like he's reflecting on why things are. Cute!!!
Maybe you could've put up a poll so we could all see the results as they were pouring in....
Anyway, my vote is for green.
I really like them both!
But, I am going to say BLUE! I love the close-up.
I can see why she's having a dilemma! I chose blue.
Me too for BLUE - bed distracting and feminine for boy announcement.
I vote for the green one.
Green! I love that you can see all of him in that shot. To cute!
Definitely green!
Green!
They both are GREAT....but I have to say I am fond of the green one!! ...and yes this digital age is GREAT!!
green. I love baby parts; little toes, adorable legs...simply awesome.
Oh what a tough decision! Love them both but I think I'd pick the second one. Maybe she can use one for the announcement and the other photo (w/o birth details) for thank you notes.
I vote the blue, I like close ups!!
green one :)
Definitely green! love it
I really like the green one. I especially like that picture. It could be because I have a thing for baby toes.
Definately green...I love the composition of it. And yes, I agree, I love the age of digital convenience. Getting ready to help my daughter with prom invitations the same way. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Becky. I was wondering if you could recommend a computer program that does photo cards? I am having a hard time finding a good, reputable one. Thanks!
I have a thing for baby toes so I'd go with the first one.
Can you do half green and half blue? They are both darling. I like the color and close up of his beautiful face in the blue. But, seeing his whole little kicking, happy fingers and toes is so precious, too.
If I had to choose, I'd choose blue...but honestly, I'd do half of one and half of the other. Then all the friends and relatives can talk and share what they got. It won't be the same thing. Variety is the spice of life!
Love the Photoshop thing, too. Fabulous job, Becky!
I was defintely going to say green. But after reading Jeanne's comment I agree with her. Print both!
Do have half and half!
