In response to the things you're wondering about from my previous posts ...
[ 1 ] The colors for our kids' albums are yellow for Claire, green for Porter, and blue for Crew.

Those red albums are our family books. These are all from We R Memory Keepers. If interested, you could probably do some online research to find the best prices.
[ 2 ] The font I used on the baby shower pictures (and everything lately ... really) is called Gill Sans. In fact, I used it on the baby shower invites, too.

Gill Sans in light, regular, bold, and even italic. Seriously. I use this for everything. The font at the top is CK Becky, my handwriting font (which is available as a free download here). I just used one of the pictures I've taken of baby's feet and added text ... all in Photoshop. Keeping it simple.
(Obviously for this version I'm sharing online, I don't have contact info ... but I still wanted you to be able to see the entire design.)
[ 3 ] For those Kindergarten books, I happened to have a collection of random 6" x 6" albums from various companies in my stash from being in the scrapbooking industry for the past dozen years. So that's what I used.

I don't have any more of those little albums, so if I were to do it again for another class, I'd probably do a spiral binding at the local office supply shop for these books.
Some of you are asking for the template on those Kindergarten pages. There are 2 reasons why that doesn't really work in this case: First of all, it's a Pages document (not Word) and secondly, I designed these monthly pages specifically for Porter's class and so it's unique to what they did and doesn't really apply to another classroom.
It's simple to create this type of page, however. Just create a text box in a Word (or Pages) document. Type your text, however you choose to do it. If you want to add an image for the kids to color, what I did was just do a google image search for various things and I dropped & resized those images right into the text box. That's it. Just printed the pages on cardstock and cut them to size (6" x 6").

Thanks for sharing, Becky! I love the kindergarten books. Wish I had done that for this year for my son's class!
Wow you are busy. Thanks for all the inspiration. Hope to have some more recipes, maybe something you cook from your food storage.

Becky,
What do you use for pen storage?

Wow! The invitation is so awesome. So of course I have a question...did you have them printed at Costco? And if yes, on regular photo paper in satin finish? Or printed on cardstock? Thanks!
Love your choice of WeR album colors. I have black for my chronological albums. What color blue is Crew's albums? Is that cobalt or country blue? Thanks in advance :) LOOOVE YOUR BLOG..my #1everyday inspiration.
Thanks for sharing!
How many pages can you put safely in these albums?
Enelra,
I don't think her books for Crew are Country Blue- I have one in that color and it is more muted in person. Crew's album seems brighter- of course it could be the flash.

Love the shower invites! I'm about 3 weeks away from having our next baby boy, but if this baby had been a girl she was definately having the name 'Paige Louise'. It was funny to see someone with the same idea I had!!
Thanks for sharing! My son starts kindergarten in the fall, and I think I am going to have to do something similar to your albums. I appreciate how much you share with us. Thank you!
Hi Becky, my computer won't accept .tff files : (
Any other options for your free font?
Tks!
I just realized who the shower is for. I have not seen Nanci in years. Please tell her Sarah {Ogden} says hello.
Becky,
I am really curious about what you do with baby, graduation, and wedding announcements. You mentioned you had a system for them. As my oldest is graduating from high school this week, I am curious since I am getting so many pictures from his friends!
Thanks,
Anne
Becky,
How many sheet protectors (maximum) do you insert into your WeR albums in picture one?
Thanks in advance
How do you get to be so clever???!!! I love following your blog & picking up inspirational ideas - I now have red all over my house because of you - just wanted you to know you are an inspiration ;-D
Hi Becky,
Do you have your invites printed at costco or on cardstock? If on cardstock where do you upload them too?? THanks, Becca
To Enelra B - in answer to your question about page protectors. I just completed my first We r Memories 3-ring binder album and am hooked for life. They are the BEST! Gorgeous colors and beautifully constructed. My finished album has 23 actual page protectors. Two full pages in each, of course. My pages don't have a lot of bulk, but some. The book lies just about perfectly flat with that many pages. If you are a digital scrapper you can probably get quite a few more pages in there.
Check out RitzCamera.com for a great price - $19.99. They always seem to be on sale. If they're out of a color, keep checking. They come back in stock regularly. Hope this helps. You'll love 'em. Oh, and their refill page protectors are great too and a good price.
Hi Becky - thanks for all of the information!! I, too, would love to know how you organize birth announcements, cards, etc. Thanks in advance!
Becky - Thanks for the additional info on the Kindergarten books! Would you mind sharing what you put on the front & ending pages? Thanks!!
I love the We R Memories albums as well. My son has the same green and my daughter has the pretty yellow. I think I'm hooked on them.
Thanks for sharing Becky!!!!!!
Thank you Becky! I'd love to know where you got the white cubes/shelves that you store your albums in.
I also use the We R albums - red for my hubby, green for me, yellow for family albums, and cobalt blue for my son. (Crew's albums look like they're Country Blue, is that right?)
I'm trying to decide what furniture to get for my scraproom and was looking for something safe & secure to store my albums in.
Thank you!
Just wanted to chime in about the We R Memory Keepers albums... I love them as well. I have about 5 or 6 going right now, so I don't know how many pages will fit into each one yet. They are sturdy and very nice-looking. The red is beautiful. I use that for our Christmas album. I love that you can get normal 12 x 12 page protectors, or 12 x 12 protectors divided into six 4x6 pockets, all from We R Memory Keepers. They are very good quality. If you are thinking about switching to a binder system, these are great!
Love your blog!
I wish there was something more affordable than Gill Sans that is comparable. I don't have it and can't afford it but you've made me love it. LOL
Hey Becky -
I have a one year old and I was thinking of using the WeRMemory albums. How do you decide what goes in their albums and what goes in the family album? Do you duplicate at all?
Thanks
Kyetra
I have the albums as well, and love them. I have been able to fit between 29-30 pages in mine. Some pages have a bit of bulk from brads and flowers, and it lies very flat. I love the 3 ring binder system!
Thank you for offering your CK Becky font! For some reason when I try to print, your font is blocked. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
Hi Becky... Just wanted to clarify that your children's albums that are Yellow, Green, and Blue are 12x12's? Those are really lovely albums.
Please mail me: MNScrapbookmom@gmail.com
Thank you.
The invitation was awesome! I did mine in Microsoft Publisher. Here's my take: http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj299/biz_kid1/LiveJournal%20Blog%20Photos/092609MonicaShower01a2.jpg
