school project

Okay. The school project. I know many of you are anxious for me to get back on track with that. If you're not up-to-speed on what this is, I strongly encourage you to visit that post here. This will review the concept and I also share what materials are needed and how to organize the project. Each month we are focusing on a different aspect of school life for these first graders (totally applicable to any grade). For August, it was all about the first day of school. September was about Centers & favorites. October was about the library & reading. November it will be about recess & play. We'll also do cafeteria/lunch time. And so on and so forth.

I'm going to re-share a few documents and some are new. Basically what I have so far is August, September, and October. Here are the completed pages in Porter's book.

Now ... a bunch of downloads. You only need to click on the ones in the format that you prefer. If you want to just print it like it is ... PDF is perfect. If you want to make your own changes to my file ... choose Word or choose Pages (for Mac).

Thank you, thank you! I've been hoping for some Sept/Oct inspiration for my son's Kindergarten book. I'll use these ideas for post-holiday months now that we're almost into November!

Thank you so very much. I will definitely be using these next year as my son is in kindergarten this year and it's a bit advanced to use it now but makes next years pages sooo much easier!!!! Thank you thank you thank you! But I'm looking at what Porter did last year in K and kinda doing a hybrid of both years. I like the drawing of a pic each month to see how artwork evolves and a signature too.
Thanks again for your generosity!

Thanks for reposting this project. Any chance you will be able to address the problem with the download on Project 365? The link says its "Forbidden"?? Yikes!
I really want a copy of those "The week of..." cards.

Thank you so much for the idea. I have been handed a Daisy troop that will start in January. I am planning on using these templates to have a book ready for them since we are starting so late. Gives me lots of great ideas and time to have it ready.

On the downloads for September there is a page that you have on your example but it is not the same page in the downloads. Can you repost the page that you have for Sept 2009 school project. Thanks
