FAQs for Project Life #1
Lots of great questions. I only have a minute, but don't want to leave you hanging on the most pressing questions. So I'll answer a few questions now and then come back to more questions later tonight (including further explanation on the digital product).
Q: Are you going to sell out?
A: You never can tell. But this I can tell you: We've done our very best to project realistic sales. Just so you know, I ordered almost twice as many kits as any kit I've done in the past. Having said that, we should be fine. BUT ... if this goes bonkers, I can also tell you that we can re-order IF there is enough interest/demand. If you fall in that category of the 2nd print-run, you'll just get your kit approximately 4 weeks later than those getting kits from the 1st print-run. As of right now, we are not sold out. You should be fine to place an order.
--
Q: Is this a one-time thing or will you do this on an annual basis?
A: I am brand-new to this whole on-my-own thing, so who knows how this is all going to go. But as it seems right now, I would absolutely love to bring this concept year after year after year. I believe in Project Life so much. I know that this product is a solution that will help a lot of people so of course I'd love to make it available all the time. Updating the design and colors each time, of course. It all depends on how this all goes. So far - (holy cow!) - so good. Thank you for your orders!
--
Q: I signed up for your eBlast (email newsletter), but I haven't seen the first one that you sent this morning.
A: Check your junk mail. You will need to add the address (customerservice@beckyhiggins.com) to your address book so that your email program recognizes me and won't throw me away. Go ahead and do that so that you can be sure to not miss out on my eBlasts.

Looks great
Did I miss when the kit is shipping?
when is the first round of orders shipping?
Becky,
If you do this every single year, definitely this is the best solution for busy people. I was no lucky to order the P365, but this time I ordered two kits ( one for each of my girls ) this morning, as soon I got your e-mail. I just want to say two things: THANKS SO MUCH for this wonderful kit and YOUR ARE THE BEST!!!
Karina
Q: Could you please show us some pages using PROJECT LIFE? Please, I need some ideas!!!
So by your comment "so far-(holy cow!)-so good, I take it this is going well. Will tell you my girl was very excited that I already placed an order for her as well as me.
A little off topic, but I'm wondering what you think of the "new & improved" Duck adhesive. I fell in love with the "old" version after reading about it on your site. I don't know why they changed it because it used to be awesome! I do not like the new version at all. You?
Thanks again. I am trying it this coming year I failed this year. I didn't stay on track. I am excited.
So excited about this!
I would like a digital format. Thanks. I am very impressed.
Order now, don't even think about it!
Project life is an awesome deal, time and money wise. I used the digital downloads from project365 last year, and my album has cost me well over $90 with all the materials that I had to buy seperately. I ordered project life and I can't wait to get started again in 2010.
Becky I knew you would have a quality product and that things would run smooth- you are a professional through and through.
Thanks so much!
I am so excited! I ordered as soon as I got your email...and finally had time to go back and read everything and watch the video!
What an amazing kit! It is loaded with goodies! I can't wait to get my hands on it!!!
I was so lucky to get a Project 365 kit and have being loving it...I was worried how I was going to do it next year...but not no more! The concept is awesome! You rock!!
Thank you!
I missed out on your 365 project because I couldn't get in and it sold out so fast, but I was so excited to order your project life this morning...and got one. As soon as everyone has had a chance to get one for themselves, then I will order another one. I am so please with what I see!! WAY to go Becky!!
this kit is such a great concept. i think a style that would work for a baby boy or girl's first year of life would be amazing. and a big hit as a gift.
My friend Angela called me at 8am and said that she had ordered her kit. I immediately tried and got a maintanence message. Kept checking every few minutes and right at 9am, I was able to order. I was surprised that I had not received an E-mail blast. The blast came through at 10am.
I am on my way to finishing my 365 day album so I can't wait for the new kit. Thank you, Becky
still recovering (and trying to finsh) my 365 album (my own kind) but MOST happy that you have made it easier for New Zealanders and Australians to get the kit through a local shop....not sure whose idea it was but thanks....and i would love to do one..maybe in 2011 (if you do another print)...think i need a year off to get back to scrapping
Hi Becky, I have ordered this item thru the New Zealand people as per your web link, but they are selling it at like $110. Is there an easier and cheaper way? I can't go through google checkout as it won't allow it to be shipped to Australia from there.
Neroli
Is there a reason that my link doesn't work when I click on BUY NOW?
I have been away from home all day and just got on the computer 11:21pm EST
Please do not tell me I missed out AGAIN this year???
Anyone know why it wont let me buy now?
I would LOVE to see this every year, I used the downloads from Project 365 since I was not lucky enough to get a kit last year and I am so excited to get started with project life.

I also did not receive the eblast and I checked my spam --nothing.
Can we see completed pages and will you be getting any closer views of the contents?
Check under Becky Higgins eBlast in your spam. That's where I found mine. And thanks for the digital Holiday Cards!! I finished mine this afternoon. Now I just need to print them out!!
Are there examples of pages you've done?? Did I miss those?
thank you becky! i bought mine today & am SO EXCITED! i missed out on P365 so i can't wait to dive into this one. i hope this is a huge success for you b/c i'd love to buy one every year. =) thanks again!
Oh and one more random note. Whomever's house that was....love the fireplace mantle just gorgeous! I love decorating for the seasons/holidays. Have you done anything special/different this year?
Andrea
Hi Becky
I live in Australia, and would love to order Project Life. However, I'm not prepared to pay $110 plus shipping. It is disappointing, to say the least, because I'd love to have a kit as I have loved your work since before you taught at the Scrapbook Convention when I was still living in South Africa!

I'm also from Australia & just ordered through the New Zealand website - thanks so much for that.
To previous Aussie posts - the NZ site is selling it for NZD110 which converts to approx AUD90. They have advised they are having it shipped to NZ direct from China, so it `should' be cheaper than having it shipped from the US (which was going to be about US150).
Hi Goody2Shoes, I can understand that, but Becky actually has it advertised as a special introductory offer of $39.95. It would be nice if we could also have that passed onto us. I think that is what everyone is a lttle upset over. It doesn't state that it isn't for America only in advertisment.
I can hardly wait! Thank you for doing your best to get them here by the first of the year! What an improvement from last years fiasco! Thank you again for all the time and energy you put into these kits!! I look forward to seeing the wonderful things you'll do on your own. You've got the support of scrapbookers everywhere!! We want you to succeed.
I started the POTD concept this year but I didn't have the actual kit and wasn't organized enough to print out the downloads. So, I fell behind and it got overwhelming. I LOVE this new kit and am looking forward to just putting my "month in review" (ie highlights and news) over the 4 week layout. Not as overwhelming as trying to come up with a picture for each day.
Thank you for such a great concept, I am looking forward to actually having an album!!!
Hi Nero6469, I agree - it would be good if we didn't have to pay so much due to location.
I still think $AUD90 plus shipping from NZ is going to be cheaper than $39.95USD plus shipping from the US. The price from the NZ site is still to be determined & I believe they have quoted the `worst case' price so we'll see.
I think this is a great product and looks very well done, but I'd like to echo what Nero6469 has said...
Why can we buy it for roughly $43AUD + postage (insane postage!) from Becky's site but have to cough up $90AUD + postage to get it from NZ? I know it will work out cheaper for the postage but what's with the huge markup for the actual product to get it from NZ?
PS...since I got halfway through 2009 with the POTD, I decided to order 2 and do both at the same time. I can have my pics printed and ready by the time it arrives. Yay!
becky...do you *think* you will ever sell the components of the kit individually, as well? thanks:)
mary
Totally unrelated but...
I would love to know the name of the company/pattern of your super cute cozy chair! :0)
Thanks in advance!
Hi Becky ...I love the kt are was really keen to get it until I saw the price for us Aussies :( Because we are buying from NZ we are still going to be charged overseas transactions rates on our credit cards and OS postage - while it might be cheaper than from the states it still will probably be well over $100!!
The AU = USD is really strong at the moment so why are we paying 2 times more than US customers :O
It seems that KIWI scraps might be the winners in this. I recognise that it is still really good value for $90 but doesn't seem fair. I don't want to be a rabble-rouser but.....
Myself and several friends have all bought KofTM before and personally I think it was better value for us just paying extra postage from the US.
Sorry to be a downer! I love the kit :) Good luck with it.
I agree with Nero6469, and it seems another situation of if you don't live in the US well you don't count. In Australia there are laws to prevent misleading advertising (Bait advertising) where one price is advertised and another charged. Surely with the amount of complaints from Australian Scrapbookers you will see sense and fix this problem.
Hi All... Craft House here (also known by some still as KiwiScraps). We are thrilled to be working with Becky to bring Project Life “down-under”, and in a manner that avoids some of the horrendous freight costs this product packed, sizable and almost 4kg kit attracts.
So, just a brief update on Project Life pricing "down-under". As many are aware - we have given a couple of worse case/indicative prices for the kits in the past few days simply to enable the option of maybe pre-ordering and securing a kit! The first price (NZ$110) was definitely finger in the air stuff for the launch, and whilst we took a day or so to sort the best shipping options out.(Of course it is peak shipping time and at premium shipping rates!).
We were quickly able to provide a revision as we got a little closer to the costs (NZ$80 - $100) and Becky also supplied some information over the weekend that meant we could firm up actual local shipping costs.
After another day of negotiation and communication - we are pleased to be able to advise that for this shipment of Project Life the pricing will be NZ$85 plus NZ$8 shipping and A$92 inclusive of shipping.
To the many who have already supported us in assisting Becky get Project Life "down-under" (over half our initial shipment is now committed!) - thank you for your pre-orders. We will be in touch shortly to confirm those. And for those understandably awaiting further confirmation of the price... we look forward to your orders!
Finally, all going to plan – we are hoping to be shipping the kits the last week of December/first week of January.
Regards, David
Becky,
I live in Hong Kong and was thrilled that I was able to order this kit (I am having it shipped to a USA postal address). Having missed out on last year's offering, I am pleased that it worked out this year for your overseas fans.
I did download the jpg files you supplied for this year's 365 project and I am completing it.
Kind regards,
Adrienne
