just what we all needed

Women need women. I am so grateful for the influence of such remarkable women in my life. Older, younger, near and far. I am surrounded by amazing people. This weekend, 10 of us gathered from 5 different states, crashed Karolyn's house, did some serious bargain shopping, made a bazillion necklaces for our daughters (you're seeing a fraction of the completed ones), painted, mod-podged, sewed, ate, talked, and decided sleep was unnecessary for the weekend.

I'm exhausted and yet totally rejuvenated. I am ready to be a better wife & mother & homemaker. And ... speaking of ready ... I'm getting ready to launch PROJECT LIFE. Yes, I'll be telling you more. Yes, you'll be seeing the full product. Yes, I'll have video to tell you about it. Yes, it will be available to purchase. Yes, it will all be right here at beckyhiggins.com.

Stay tuned.

Adorable necklaces! What kind of beads are those? Where did you buy them? My 4 year old daughter would love one and I love making jewelry. Sounds like you had a ton of fun. :o)

I am so ready for a girlfriend's retreat. 10 years of wife and motherhood (in the military, moving every few years) is definitely burnout time. Sounds like you all had a great time and made some beautiful things! Can't wait to hear more about PL.

Every November a couple of my girlfriends and I get together and go to craft fairs, and shop till we drop, eat great food-Tortilla Soup is always on the menu and we each make it slightly different. We gab and gab, laugh and cry, and hardly sleep. Make a craft of two.
Just like you said, I feel better and ready to to take on regular life again. We have been doing this for over 20 years.
It is a must do. This year even with buying a new home, and hopefully be moving in to it at that time, I will not miss. I'm a better person when I come home, or after they leave. We rotate houses each year.
Great friends are priceless.

Also, are the orange & white organizing containers on your blog picture from IKEA?

How do we order "Becky products" not available anymore from CK?

I'm interested in your best of Becky's sketches and your school kit.

Thanks.

Oh Becky, like every other girl here drooling over the beads-you can't just post a picture of a darling craft and not share it with us...?
The beads are so yummy & colorful, I want to make these for my girls as well, even though they are a bit older, they would enjoy them all the same!

And you are right, girl weekends are so important for us, as we re-connect, take a breather, and enjoy some down time just being 'us'...it does make us better wives, mothers & friends.

Can't wait to see more of your PROJECT LIFE!

Thank you for ALL that you do.

I cant wait until Project Life is released, I missed out on 365 and still feel like the one girl not invited to the party and then you have to hear about all the fun they had without you!
I hope there are plenty to go around and we wont have all the negativity from last year.
Love those necklaces, will watch for more info / how to on that.
