new orleans
Just returned home from spending a fabulous few days with my honey in New Orleans. This is a city we have never visited before and I'm so glad we went. I find myself STILL thinking about some of the architecture and colors and textures and hand-painted details and old brick that we saw. So cool.

And now ... it's time switch years. Yay for a girlfriends retreat! I'll still pop in and post some eye candy on Friday. I have a few photos to share.

I LOVE New Orleans! It has such a unique feeling that no other city has (and the food can't be beat! :). I'm happy for you that you were able to go spend some time with your sweetie!
I loooooooove NO! We used to live in Louisiana and made the trip often... we've since moved away but were able to go back and visit this summer.
Seeing the blue doors in the French Quarter makes me homesick :( Glad you enjoyed LA.
New Orleans is one of my favorite cities, I was lucky enough to get there before Katrina hit nice to hear it's getting back to the beautiful city it was before.
New Orleans is the coolest city in the country. I was there before Katrina, I am glad it's getting back on it's feet. Isn't the architecture awesome. I could walk around for hours just looking at the buildings and all the wrought iron work. It's awesome and it's the best place to eat!!!!! Glad you and the hubby enjoyed your time there. I can't wait to get back there with my husband.
Can't wait to hear more about Project Life!!!!!!!!! I'm waiting with my CC ready!!!!! Can you give us a little more info???? Please???????
I love New Orleans too. Was there two years ago and would go back in a heartbeat.
Glad you enjoyed NO! I live in Baton Rouge (only an hour away). There really is no place in the world like it! I hope you got to enjoy some good food, too.
Glad you enjoyed NO. Like the blue doors and the plants on the bricks...
Thanks for sharing...I've never been and would like to go! Really like the photos!
I know your Q&A is over, but I curious to know how crafters react to you in public. I know if I ran into you in Joann's in the scrapbook section that I would freak! What is it like when you go in a scrapbook store?
Great pictures! Have fun with your girlfriends. We just did a weekend away with just girls too. It was really nice.
Hope you had a beignet at Cafe du Monde. They're the best!
How nice, some alone time is always great to reconnect.
Have a great time away with the girls.

Absolutely love NO. My mom was born and raised there; my folks took my sister and me there in 2007 for the first time and I fell in love with the city. How is the reconstruction of the devestation left by the breaking of the levies during Katrina coming along? When we were there, it was just starting.
Lived there for 11 years, 1994-2005 (moved right before Katrina) and miss it all the time!
Wish I would have known you were here...I would have had you over for lunch! ;)
So happy you enjoyed your visit to N.O. -- I've lived here most of my life, and although I've had the pleasure of visiting many beautiful U.S. cities, I can't imagine ever living anywhere else. I do hope you ate at some fabulous French Quarter restaurants!
