sprinkles found me.

Red Velvet Sprinkles cupcake, that is.
Remember me talking about the precious scraps of the Sprinkles cupcake that Claire got in the hospital a couple weeks ago? So you get that these are serious cupcakes, even if you've never had one before. Anyway, my incredibly sweet friend Megan brought one over to me this evening.
I exercised serious control. Cut it down the middle. Ate half. With my eyes closed obviously. Saved the other half for David who has still not devoured his portion and ... it's killing me. I have so much will power right now.
I'm such a giver to share half.
Oh. No. Uh, actually Megan was the giver on this one. That's right. Anyway, David better eat that other half. Or else.
Am I really blogging about a cupcake?
Indeed.

so I've heard but never had.
The look divine! In fact, have you checked out their website to see how they show what's available? It is so cute! A row & column of adorable color coded dots.
It is a scrapbook inspiration if I ever saw one!
{Love that your blogging such random fun these days}
Happy Sprinkles

P.S. don't you think the Sprinkles font is fantastic!
I wanta scrap-lift it!
I was in AZ in September, and saw the Sprinkles store while driving... I instantly had to turn around and go try one. These are the best cupcakes ever! I even bought the mix to make my own at home (because we don't have a Sprinkles yet).
I agree with the previous post, its nice to see you talking about random fun things.
Yum!! I give you permission to eat David's half if he doesn't eat it very soon. Doesn't he know what will power you have?! Good for you for sharing!
You're so funny Becky....
The cupcake looks so yummy! There's nothing wrong with blogging about cupcakes...I blog about sweet delights all the time!! www.mariannes-sweet-delights@blogspot.com
Yummy... I can almost taste it. That other half would not have lasted five minutes in my home... LOL! Love it... ~ kim
Okay so I've heard about these Sprinkles Cupcakes and I am on the East Coast! LOL They must be pretty darn good.
Anyway just wanted you to know you helped inspire me to finish my 365 photo a day ..... I am following the idea of your Thankful a day photos from Thanksgiving but for December I am doing 25 things that I love or look forward to every Christmas Season. It is helping me finish off this project!!! Yeah!!! Looking forward to project life next year.
Thanks,
Andrea
I hope David knows how lucky he is to have such a generous wife (I'm sure he does). My husband would've only seen an empty wrapper and a few crumbs!!!!
OH, it looks decadent. That is so generous and thoughtful of you to share and I'm glad you're blogging about it because it means so much to you (and your taste buds). Very sweet!
That cupcake looks awesome! Becky, I have to ask - how do you fit everything you do in each day? Do you wake up extra early? When do you fit exercise in? Your home is gorgeous, your blog is pristine, your kids are happy AND you find time to volunteer at school! How DO you do it???
Hey Becky! If you are ever in Calgary, AB Canada there is a store called "Crave" that make the most AMAZING cupcakes (old family recipe apparently). They sell out every day I believe....nothing like a good cupcake!
Your blog is just so dang fun! Thanks for the sunshine you bring to rainy Seattle.
Those red velvet cupcakes are seriously worth a blog entry...or three! We get in real trouble around here with those babies! David's half wouldn't last long around my house!
People who haven't experienced a true Sprinkles cupcake don't know what they're missing! I don't live near a Sprinkles but I have traveled far and wide to buy them (I've been to the one in Dallas and the one in Newport Beach). I frequently buy the mixes at Williams-Sonoma (the mixes are good but not the same as the bakery).
So, YES--- blog about cupcakes! As a fellow Sprinkles lover I know they are definitely blog-worthy!
I LOVE Sprinkles cupcakes but the one closest to me is over an hour away! ack!
Hi Becky,
Those cupcakes really do look yummy.
I had a question about a different subject, though. My husband apparently was going to get me Project Life (it was on my wish list) for Christmas but was unable to (it said it is unavailable to US customers). Did you sell out? Why wasn't he able to still buy it and have it back ordered? I'm a little sad because I am guessing he ended up buying something else instead and I can't afford to just buy the kit myself (without it being a christmas gift from him). Please look into it and let us know when it's fixed. I wonder if there is still time for my MIL to get it for me is she hasn't bought me anything yet...
I love your blog!
Oh they are yummy.
If you follow the instructions from the mixes and use real butter and ingredients they'd use in the store it tastes identical.
Sprinkles were our wedding cake. Yummy.
We are heading North from Tucson this weekend and are going to "Sprinkles" and a great container store near there (I heard)!!!!!!!!!!!!
He he he Becky I had to change the way I drive home from work because my car kept driving itself to the Cupcakery (in Las Vegas.) Cupcakes may be small but they have evil powers over the brain!
Hi Becky.
I was reading a friends blog and she had a link to your blog, so I had to take a look. I'm married to Mark, (Mel and Denise's son). I don't think we've ever met, but I know Kevin and Lauren pretty well and remember hanging out with Jonathan and Tina back in Provo. I love looking at all your amazing work in CK, and even seeing family I know-so fun. Just wanted to say Hi.

I am majorly addicted to these cupcakes. I may have to find a 12 Step program somewhere.
I discovered Sprinkles online a couple of years ago, but there's not one near me, and we didn't make it there during my last two trips to LA...I'm glad to hear a "review"...I'll now make a point of heading there during our next trip westward!
When in Provo try the cupcakes at Sweet Tooth Fairy - down by the Quilted Bear in Provo. They are yummy!
