warm & fuzzy: pass it on
We all know that it's the little things - the simplest things - that can bring us great joy. Here are two teeny-tiny things from yesterday that make me feel warm & fuzzy.
1. Anyone who has followed my blog knows that I'm a sucker for my kids' art (like many of you mothers). Porter (7) & Claire (4) have both recently drawn a little self-portrait that I now keep on my monitor. I love little people drawn by little people. I love seeing these constantly.

2. You might also know that I'm a sucker for a good cupcake. Not to worry. Sprinkles isn't nearly close enough to where I live (my hips are thankful for that). But a friend was in that direction yesterday and was intuitive enough to know that a Sprinkles cupcake is exactly what I needed last night. The warm & fuzzy part is to have dear friends who are so generous & thoughtful & actually follow through with their thoughts & promptings.

You know how you get that feeling sometimes? That teeny tiny little thought in your head (or your heart) that gives you an idea of something that you should maybe do for a friend? Or even someone you hardly know?
I should call her and see how she's doing.
I should take dinner to that family.
I wonder if I could take my neighbor's kids for a couple hours.
I should drop a note in the mail to her and tell her how much I appreciate her.
I should see if so-and-so needs help with cleaning.
Today I encourage you to be tuned in to those feelings, those thoughts, those promptings. This is the season of love. Give of yourself and your time and your talents. Pass some warm & fuzzies on to someone else.

Great ideas, Becky!
My daughter loves post it notes...I have them shoved everywhere! Awesome ideas!
Thanks for the reminder. I've never regretted following through with those kinds of thoughts. It does warm your heart to know that someone is thinking of you and loving you.
Thanks for that post... one of the best feelings in the world is when you know you've done something for someone that was exactly what they needed at that moment. Who needs some warm & fuzzies today?...
I have been the recipient of those little promptings before and I know exactly what you mean. It's the little gestures that end up making the biggest difference...
Thanks for the reminder.
Becky - Do you know about the book
A year of Mornings: 3191 Miles
Apart by Maria Vettese and Stephanie Barnes?? They took A POTD for a year, shared them and published them in a book. How cool. Just wanted to let you know. Some copies at bn.com.

Well said. It's so easy to ignore that voice this time of year because we are all so busy.
Hey Becky, I have a question totally unrelated to your post. Is your MAC screen also your computer? My husband just asked what was on my list for Christmas and I responded...a large MAC screen to hook up to my laptop. But he responded that the large screens are the PC as well...can you confirm? And do you also use a MACbook as well? ~Starr
Sister Kimball once said "Never Suppress a generous thought"
Thank you!
Love your style and your blog - thank you. On your blog, I read about Karlee Fuchs and the purses that she makes. So, about 4 months ago - I ordered one. As of today, still no purse. I have emailed her numerous times and very rarely does she respond. The last response was on Nov. 20 where she told me how sorry she was and that much has been going on in her life so she has been avoiding emails and calls. She said that she would ship one out that day. Still nothing. It has been longer than 45 days so I can not file a dispute with Paypal. I am contacting you hoping that maybe you could help me out since I do not know what else to do. This is frustrating to me since I have no purse and am out almost $50. Any thoughts? Thank you for your attention. -Beth
Important message. I hope you gave your friend a great big thank you & don't forget to pass it on!! : )
Just wanted to share with you the Christmas card I created with the free templates you so generously shared.
Here's the link where iot is posted in ym gallery at 2Peas. http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1542477
I'm filled with that warm, fuzzy feeling......I raised money selling my Christmas cards and tags at my daughter's preschool for her best friend's family (her best friend Dora and her father were killed in a car accident last June leaving her mother and 4 siblings).......the preschool collected donations, clothes, toys, etc. and I wanted to do more....and I did......and I feel GOOD!
I really enjoyed reading your post. If only we would listen more to that small voice.
I don't get much via post it notes but I did get a text from my 13 year old middle child who is a boy that told me he loved me. Actually it said, " I love you, mommy".....! It was a pleasant surprise.
Have you ever heard the story of the "Warm Fuzzies and the Cold Pricklies", It is a delightful story about the more love you give the more you get....... I still have so little post it note people that are about 18 years old now :o) , they were 4 at the time and the notes are 14 years old.
I think when I go to meet my maker, I would like to take those post it notes with me. such a little thing can be so very important.
How interesting you should leave this comment today. I tried to e-mail you a Christmas greeting and photo of our little Ella we adopted in June. Must have an out-dated e-mail. It's been way too long, I'd love to catch up. Love, Kim M.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
