First, a quick little shout-out to Karen, a fellow blog reader in Round Rock, Texas. I believe today is her 50th birthday!

So am I the last ones to try these little containers?
First of all, my kids have never liked Cheerios as a snack. But really — Cheerios was totally smart to come up with this little number. And honestly, it’s the best container I’ve been able to find (without doing an extensive online search) to house some snacks for my little ones. Picked them up at WalMart.
Tip of the day: Use a label maker to easily identify what’s in the container and have a few options on-the-go in case your child decides that NO! They don’t want goldfish! Or NO! They don’t want animal crackers! Heaven knows, I’ve had my fair share of Target meltdowns. I’ve been “that mom” that gets the looks of seriously-you-can’t-tame-your-child?
I’m still learning that snacks can be the magical solution to combat that kind of behavior. That, and a pep talk in the car before we get to the store. Which, as we all know, does not work with an 18-month-old.
