The time has come. Below is a list of our first batch of Big Photography Giveaway winners! Eighteen families are getting ready to do a serious happy dance in front of their computer. Go on. It’s okay to happy-dance like a fool. This is worth celebrating!
I have to tell you, these photographers had a haaard time choosing. (And boy, do I understand. That’s why I’m not choosing winners in the Big Photography Giveaway.) Some of them carefully handpicked a person because they felt connected to their story. Some closed their eyes and did a random scroll and let their mouse land on an entry. Others couldn’t bear the thought of choosing at all, so they had an unbiased friend do the picking. No matter who wins, let’s just remember how super cool this is that families all over the U.S. (and a few other countries) will be blessed with the gift of a photo shoot by a talented soul so willing to share.
Here’s what to do: If you see your name as a winner, it is 100% up to you to contact that photographer so the two of you can coordinate and plan and get your photo session scheduled. If you do not email your photographer within a week, he or she has the right to choose a different winner. You snooze, you lose. So do not hesitate to email. (Every photographer’s email address, website, etc. is listed in their post. You can always do a search by state, name, or any other key word. See the SEARCH field at right.)
Another thing: If you entered and did not win, take notice that several photographers wanted to offer a discount of some kind to my blog readers, which is really cool. Especially because they independently offered that without me asking. These are seriously generous people.
