For those of you who have been sticking with it and doing monthly layouts with school children, GOOD FOR YOU. I hope you haven’t completely relied on my file-sharing to create you books with the kids since I haven’t been able to make it my no. 1 priority to post those ahead of each month. In any case, here are the April layout and May layout files … in case it helps anyone.
The theme for April was their little play they put on.
The theme for May was friendship. It’s hard to believe another school year is over.
And for the last page of the book, we did a simple list of what the classroom rules were for the the school year and a silly picture of the whole class.
When I did these pages with the kids last week, I emphasized the significance of that last page, which is this: When we follow rules and help others and show courtesy and choose the right in general, that’s how we can have the best time and the greatest happiness.
In school and in life.
Amen. : )
The files are PDFs. I’m having issues with the Word and Pages documents so if you want to adapt these last few pages for your own project, just work from one of the previous month’s files.

Hi Becky,
I have done this scrapbook with my daughter’s first grade class this year. It has been soooo much fun. tomorrow is the end-of-year celebration where the kids will get to take their books home. I think they will be so proud to share these with their parents. The teacher was so in love with the project that I wanted to do something special for her at the end of the year so I created an online photo book using all the pictures I took over the year. I just finished it today and can’t wait to give it to her on the last day of school. It really turned out great! Thanks so much for all the inspiration!
What a wonderful treasure you have helped these children to create. And reminding them of the important things was a nice added touch!
Thanks so much for sharing. I was doing this at my son’s K class in Ohio but since we moved, we haven’t started doing it, although I plan to do it next year when he’s in the multiage class. Your files do come in handy as a reference to what we plan for the year. I truly appreciate them.
Your clean lines and uncluttered pages always inspire me. I keep your Best of Becky sketches out and scrap lift. I am 70 yrs old and working on hundreds of heritage photos and stories. So much to do, so little time, I love the clean and go pages.

Thanks so much for the inspiration to do this project. My son’s preschool class each received their books to take home at graduation this week. So many parents loved them, as so many of them both work outside the home and mentioned not having many photos, etc.
I used the idea I saw in your son’s earlier books of having the children write their signature at the bottom of each month’s title page. Awesome seeing how they improved over time.
I can’t imagine doing this with a class larger than 10—kudos to you!
Thank you so much for sharing all the pages and your wonderful ideas. My daughter will be in 1st Grade next year and I will be speaking to her teacher and hopefully we can do this for her class next year.
Thank you for showing these month samples. Even though they’re late and I’ve already done April and May, it gave me ideas for next year. I hope to continue this tradition (with my kids…not their whole class!) for years to come. On a side note, I remember you blurring out personal information and I noticed Porter’s teacher’s name in one of the pictures. I’ve forgotten to blur a time or two and appreciated when someone pointed it out, so I thought I’d mention it.
Thanks again for the inspiration!
Thank You so much! My class and I have been waiting for these and can’t wait to get them finished. Thanks for your help!
Thank you so much for sharing these pages with us!! I have enjoyed this project…and hope to continue it of some sorts every year. Also…I am having to re-print some pages….and for October….page 2 is missing…can you please add this page? Thanks AGAIN!!

Thank you so much for sharing these pages! I have been following along with both my first grader and my third grader and even though I had to do my own thing for April and May – it was fine since we had different events I wanted to capture for each class. I will still save all of these templates for next year – maybe alter a bit – but loved the project!
Thanks so much Becky!!
Hey Becky,
I just want to thank you so much for your inspiration! I did the 6×6 booklet with my son’s kindergarten class last year (22 kids and 2 teacher books). I did them all by myself WOW what a project. But I am geared to do the whole 1st grade this year already taken my pics for August and have most of them developed. Worked on putting the page protectors in the folders last night. I can’t thank you enough for the free downloads, it has made it so easy for me to do this. Of course, I change it up a bit to fit in with my son’s month, but the inspiration from you is priceless. I did the P365 last year and I am doing the digital monthly this year. I also I have the school kit for my son and I am proud to say this is the only project I am actually up to date on. Just finished his Kindergarten year intime to start first grade. To say I am a Becky Fan is an understatement. Thanks again.

Howdy! This blog post couldn’t be written any better! Going through this post reminds me of my previous roommate! He always kept preaching about this. I’ll forward this information to him.
Pretty sure he’ll have a great read. I appreciate you for sharing!
