I’ve gotten some questions about the picture you see on my home page. Those containers (the orange ones and the white bumpy textured ones) are from The Container Store. The tins are from Ikea. And as with all my label-making endeavors, the handy dandy label maker is my friend. The one we use is shown here, in my pantry organization post from last month.

Okay, I’ll be the first to comment. I think I can speak for all when I say we need to see more of your house. The WHOLE thing! Maybe even a detailed floor plan:)
How are those containers labeled? I agree with Stephanie P. I would like to see more. How do you decided or figure out what containers to use for what and how to design your space? I am struggling with this one. Any ideas and thoughts will be helpful.
I for one am completely jealous!! I love the organization.
As pretty as that is, it would never work for my family. In my house, there would be papers stuffed between each box, and lids would be off and thrown in the floor…. It could get dangerous! lol
Oh how I love The Container Store. In 2008, I had them design and install my scraproom. Its a wonderful treat to work in, every day! Enjoy your new organization.

I am green. Completely green. Container Store and IKEA are 2 of my favorite stores. I wish I had the space in my small house for a scraproom/office for myself. My husband will come home to find a green wife today.
I love the look but I’m not so sure I could keep it up. And I would definitely need help actually getting it set up in the first place! But what I wouldn’t give to have money and be able to go walk around an Ikea or The Container Store to actually see these containers up close. Where I live I the internet is the closest but it is hard to tell if something like what I see online is what I actually want.
Oh, that’s my dream pantry! Would love to be so organized. I may have to get to Ikea in the next couple days and get those tins!!
You have a point. Very insightful. A nice different perspective
Thanks for the well-thought article. I’m actually at work right now! So I need to go off without reading all I’d like. But, I put your blog on my msn feed so that I can read more.
I am compairing this article with another one I have read before and yours makes a lot more sense.
Thanks-a-mundo for the blog post. Thanks Again. Keep writing.
