I love how Shelby captures the families in action. I would love to have some down to earth photos of my family of 4. I have two boys a two-year-old and soon to be seven-year-old. Both boys are rambunctious and taking them to a sit-down photo session is just not worth the money. I want the pictures to show their true spirits (rowdy yet loveable).

I scroll through pictures that Shelby has taken and everyone is better than the last. I have a husband and daughter (she will be 3 years old in August). Also, we are having a party for my mom this summer and was considering getting some pictures of the family then. I have 7 brothers and sisters and we all have families. It is a very large group so we never get to a studio!

I have never seen professional photos taken with such a personalazation,I can almost feel the love between each family member in your photos. My sister,brother in law, and two beautiful nieces have been through so much these last foour years but their love for each other and their love for God has seen them through. My brother in law was blessed with a new heart and new life two years ago but all the trouble his old heart gave him caused a blood clot in his leg prior and they feel they have exhausted every thing and he will be scheduled shortly to have it amputated. his two little girls six and eight have seen their Daddy through so much I wish theycould win this because I know your photos will touch the strength and love this family has for each other. My sister and Brother in laws names are Melissa and Orren Smith.

I would like to nominate a friend. After having to leave her home she purchased due to unforseeable damage, she packed up her daughters and what they called home to go live in a rental. After two year, and many court dates and everything else, she finally resolved part of her issue, but still did not have a place to call home. Altough her case isn’t full settled she decided to take on a new home, so her daughters could finally pick the paint they want in their bedrooms, and have a place to call home. She is an amazing person and teacher that works with very needy children, with very special needs, and does so with a smile on her face. You would never know she was facing any type of challenges in her life.

I am a mother of three beautiful daughters. Each one is in a different stage of life. I have a 18 (soon to be 19) year old that just finished her first semester of college away from Florida. I have a 15-year-old that is in high school. That comes with a whole new set of opportunities for her and I to connect. Lastly, I have an 21-month-old toddler. It is funny I feel in a different stage myself. I feel like I am getting old with my 19 year-old. With the 15yr, I feel like a teenager again, and with the 21-month-old, I feel like a young mother all over again. Each daughter is such a blessing. With the oldest and youngest birthdays coming up, I would love family pictures. Our family has grown closer in these last couple of years. Mostly because our littlest one was born two and a half months premature and both my husband and I both lost our full-time jobs. You take such beautiful pictures. You capture the beauty in not only the person, but their surroundings as well.

My husband and I have not had pictures taken of us since our wedding 16 years ago. While we have neices and nephews we have no children of our own, so it always seems that we are behind the camera and not in front of it, atleast not together, this would be a great anniversary present to be able to have some great pictures and lasting memories for our families of who we were.

I, too, feel very blessed to be able to devote my time to children, and to sharing, and feel my life has been significantly enriched as a result.
I notice now my photographs teem with images of countless faces and community service projects from my behind-the-lens view as a Girl Scout, Boy Scout, 4-H, (and many other clubs) leader, and kids’ softball coach wife… and the lack of photos of just our son and daughter, or us. This causes me to wonder if our own children feel any sense of slight by a lifetime of sharing the object of their parents’ caring and concern.
As my teens finish high school and prepare for college, I would love to show them just how very important THEY are to us by honoring them with a proudly displayed family portrait in our home. I believe I have instilled in them the goodness of sharing, but I would love to THANK them as well; they have been sharing their mom and dad as long as they can remember.
Your professional images are so refreshing and spontaneous. We would be grateful to visit you in St. Cloud or to host you in our front yard on the scenic Indian River Lagoon. Thank you for your kind spirit and the opportunity to win a photo shoot.

I have scrapbook after scrapbook of pictures of my daughter who just turned eight, but unfortunately there are not very many pictures of her and I together. I have known my best friend for almost 15 years. We have been through many great times together, and many difficult times as well. She has definitely had a much harder path than most though. She is the single mother of a great 6 year old boy. She had the family and white pickett fence for a short while, but it didn’t work out for her. After many scary and challenging years, and trying so hard to make things work – she ultimately had to leave – for the saftey of her son and herself. Her parents are wonderful and have taken her and her son in, but they too struggle financially. She works 3 different jobs to try and make ends meet, and is trying to save for a place of her own. She gets no help whatsoever from her child’s father : ( She is the kindest, most selfless person I know – and would do anything for anyone in need. Everytime it seems as though she may get a “break,” something else happens. At 30 years old, she has been through a lifetime of hurt and pain. I would LOVE for her to catch a break and show her that she is loved so much. Her son is EVERYTHING to her, and I would love for Shelby to be able to capture that love. She would never be able to do this for herself, so I would love for her to win this.

Thank you for coming to Jamison’s 4th birthday party on one of the hardest days of my life and capturing my little girl’s personality in a way that no one has before!! You truly have a gift!! I look forward to the day that you get to photograph my entire family!!
After many years of grappling over whether or not I wanted kids, my husband and I decided to go for it. When Brooklyn was born 10 months ago she was 5 weeks early and had to be taken from me via emergency C-section. Though she was vibrant and healthy at only 4lbs 7oz, the experience almost killed me. Six months later my baby and husband were in a car accident. Head trauma caused her to be transported immediately to a children’s hospital an hour away from our home. We lived there with her for 10 days. As new parents, this time helped us weed out what was truly important and taught us to lean on God more than ever before. She’s a fighter and healed wonderfully. My husband is also fine. I tell you this to share what a trying road we’ve traveled during Brooklyn’s short little life. We would love the opportunity to celebrate our little family that has weathered the storms that life has thrown at us. Brooklyn turns 1 year old in July and what a perfect time for a professional photo shoot to document how far we’ve all come.
