winners – batch #2

Holy long post. But I’m pretty sure many of you are very, very interested to look it over. It’s the next batch of winners in our Big Photography Giveaway! This has been going on every single day in the month of May and we haven’t missed a beat. We’re over half-way through this now and there is so much more talent to come for the remaining 15 days. If you’re just checking in and want to know what on Earth this is all about, click on the big orange block at right. Before I get to the winners, some important points:

1. Don’t see your name as an official big-time winner? Read closely. Many photographers have big, big offers for others who entered to win. These are some seriously generous people!

2. Some photographers chose based on the comments that were left. Some chose randomly. In fact, several photographers used random.org to choose the winner for them because it was just too hard to pick one winner.

3. Are you a winner? It is up to you to contact that photographer. If you don’t get in touch with them this week, they have the right to choose another winner. You snooze, you lose.

4. The winners are in alphabetical order based — state or country — for your convenience.

5. Don’t forget to keep scrolling down below this giant winners post to see today’s featured photographers (and the weekend’s if you haven’t seen them).

Here. We. Go!

  1. [...] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Becky Higgins. Becky Higgins said: Know how many families are about to find out that they won a FREE photo session? 132. Are you one of them? http://tinyurl.com/2ewlqbu [...]

  2. Mikki says:

Thank you so much to all of the wonderful photographers. I am not a winner but it’s so touching to read a little bit about all of the many deserving winners.

  3. Chastity Hite says:

Thank you so much Becky and all of the photographers that have done this. Our family is so very excited about this wonder opportunity!

  4. megan says:

I am soooo excited to go and call my mom and tell her that I won one for her!! Thank you soo much!!!

  5. Katy says:

I am sooooooooo excited to tell the person I entered on behalf of that she won!!!! :)

  6. congrats to all the winners :)

  7. Lindsay Jones says:

Thank you Becky and all the photographers! We are so excited to have beautiful family pictures.

  8. Marta Valdes says:

Congratulations to all the winners! To all the photographers, thank you very much for this opportunity. Thank you, Becky, you rock!

  9. Stephanie says:

Thank you so much Becky I am thrilled to be getting a photo session of my family!! It may be the pregnancy hormones but I’m almost in tears right now!!

  10. Anne T. says:

Not sure, but did I miss the winner from Maine?

  11. Lisa Cole says:

    Excited and grateful. Thank you.

  12. Amy says:

Did you announce a winner for Hartford, CT? that one was back in early May

  13. Jennifer says:

Hmmm…doesn’t really seem fair that the same person can win in Arizona and California.

  14. Andrea says:

OMGosh thank you for this wonderful opportunity for my parents to have thier picture taken! I cant believe it!

  15. Amanda D says:

Wow! Thank you so much to all the talented photographers willing to share their time and talents.

  16. I am confused why the winners are listed with their personal information beside them, as if this justifies their win. Was that a consideration for who was going to win? I was under the impression this was a drawing.

    • Kelly Swieck says:

Nicole, to answer your question- as participating photographers, we were given the option to choose the winner of our shoot however we wanted. Some may have chosen randomly, others may not have. In my case, I chose the winner based on whose story I felt most drawn to. I had a hard time choosing, though, and felt that everyone deserved a little something, so I extended an offer to all that commented. Some of the other participants did the same.

The thing to remember here is that there are 150 photographers that are giving their time to do something good!

  17. Karen Petersen says:

Wow!! Thanks so much for this special opportunity for my son!!! I can’t wait to tell him that he has been noinated and won!!! We feel so blessed!!! Thanks to Becky for the idea and to all of the wonderful photographers willing to give of their time and their talents!!

  18. Christina says:

Has Kari Davis (VA – Waynesboro) announced a winner yet? The post is dated May 5, but I haven’t seen anything else… I’m excited to hear who the lucky girl is!!

  19. Becky, thank you SO much for this amazing opportunity! I entered in Phoenix (where we live) and also in California because we plan on visiting there this summer. I must be crazy lucky because I won twice. I want you to know that I am happy to forfeit one of the photo shoots to another family. I can’t even imagine choosing one over the other with such great talent they share, but I’m totally open to whatever you would like me to do. Please feel free to email me!

I love, love, love your blog and all that you do. I certainly don’t want any hard feelings among such a gracious thing you and the photographers are doing here. Thank you, Becky!
