back from blogging break

I took a little blogging hiatus this past week to host 8 of our favorite people in our home. Had such a blast with my brother Kevin & sister-in-law Lauren & niece & 5 nephews.

Kevin (the one who did the digital Project Life instructional video) is the one who shot that picture of me in the last post. Nice composition, eh? Someone said they thought it looked like an ad for the sunglasses. Ha! Kevin’s pretty great behind the lens. He pretty much rocks for lots of reasons.

But that picture really communicated “vacation”, didn’t it? Well he also shot this one, which is probably more accurate of what I was doing this past week.  : )

(I promise I am not usually so dolled-up when I’m doing the dishes. This was last Sunday and I guess I just never got out of my church clothes because my dress was comfortable.)

Anyway, the week was awesome. I so love my family. I’m so grateful for time together as we swam and made s’mores and watched movies and talked and talked and talked. Of course we squeezed in some creative time. It’s tradition.

I “coached from the sidelines” as Lauren made her first floral arrangement, so I’ll be sharing that soon. I think I’ve even convinced her to spray-paint something for their home.

On that note, I have a lot of spray-painting inspiration to share on the ol’ blog this week. Among other fun projects. Check back tomorrow. It’s time to return to regular blogging around here.  : )

I know you buy your disposable gloves from Costco, but what brand are they? I walk by them all the time, but never know which ones to get. I think there are 2 or 3 choices. Please let me know.

    Thanks!!

Wow, talent runs in the family…I loved that pic of you…I, too, thought it was an ad. On another note…somehow I didn’t even realize that you could possibly ever have a “dirty” kitchen. It made me smile to see it. Love you, love your blog…it brings “happy” to my day.

  14. Kendra says:

Your kitchen does look “happy” as someone posted. Is it real tile or wallpaper on the wall? Did you get your apron at TJ Maxx? Glad to see you posting again!

Super cute doing the dishes .. and YAY your kitchen (even if for but a moment) was less than pristine! :-) You DO have to do dishes like the rest of us (teehee) .. but I know I don’t look nearly as cute. ;-)
