A few days and I am just looking at your blog to catch up. A bit late to comment on the San Fransisco post, but after looking into that AMAZING magazine, I received a much needed reminder. I had gone onto their website to check it out and read the article about babies and the beautiful poem. Wow. There are no other words.
In my what seems like only 5 seconds of free time between a batch of muffins in the oven, the kettle calling me to make bottles for the twins, grandpa just leaving with the older kids who are off to school and preschool, and of course, the beloved laundry, this is really what I needed today. That simple yet priceless reminder that amongst the so-called mundane of everyday, we need to stop, breathe and take it all in.
Thank you so very much Becky for all that you do for your faithful followers here. You pass along such great ideas, yes, giveaways too (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my camera bag!) but most important, great inspiration. Seeing this simple magazine was a gentle reminder that helps me to remember and cherish the small things…like the fact that now one of the babes is gently telling me “come on mommy…milk please…now!” Instead of this being a break in my neverending list of things to get done today, I need to stop and just enjoy this, right now. In a flash they will probably be off to school, college, life and I would give anything to have this moment back. My lesson learned today thanks to you…stop and be in the moment of all of the everyday simplicity.
