Love the turquoise one! Are the albums the same size as the original ones? I like my original one but had to replace it to an AC album because the PL one doesn’t fit on my Expedit shelf. Just curious about the size. Love the addition of the vertical page protectors.

I have been eagerly awaiting this sneak peek– I loved the idea of Project Life, but as the only gal in the family I was waiting for that more graphic look. I am so pleased– and excited to take on this project in 2011.
My questions are pretty basic. What is the pricing for these new editions of PL, and the new products? And will they be available through Amazon? (I have been holding onto a gift card with this purchase in mind.) Will it be possible to preorder?
With all my questions, I also just want to say thanks, for all the positivity and energy you put into what you do. I had essentially given up scrapbooking, but I think project life might be what keeps me memory keeping!

okay, so as shocking as it may seem…I have NEVER looked at any of the details of Project Life….(hanging head in shame)! I am a traditional scrapper….mom of four…wife….domestic engineer….therefore, my scrapping tends to be pushed to the bottom of the “to-do” list way too often. However…I am COMPLETELY convinced that Project Life is for me!!! Hope to be able to treat myself to the “Amber” set once the holidays are behind us.

Ooooh, I love the turquoise version too!! My question is about the binder. I did my own version of Project Life for my youngest son’s first year. I was putting it into a WRMK album, but I cannot fit all of the pages into 1 album. Is your album bigger than a WRMK album? I’m thinking I may have to get one anyway to convert to. I love the space at the top of this particular album. It would be a great place to do his name in vinyl lettering. I’m so excited for this!! Thank you for continuing to be such an inspiration to all of us!!
SO SO excited! I really like both, so it will be a difficult choice! I’m thinking of getting a set for each of my teen and pre-teen daughters as well. I think it would be fun (20 or so years from now) to see how they documented their life in photos at this age.

I am SSSOOOOOO Super excited about the Turquoise edition!!!! I have always loved the idea of PL even though I am whole heart “tarditional” scrapbooker, but I am the mom of 4 boys and the PL kit always seemed a little to girly for a family of all boys. SOOOO I will deffinatly be getting this one!!!

Still so very in love with my Project Life kit (which I started in June, when we finished grad school and moved across the country with our toddler and brand-new baby in tow!). I don’t keep up every day, but I’m always caught up by the end of a month. My husband really appreciates this ministry to our family. Are you going to sell these thru your website again or only thru Amazon? I’ve recently boycotted Amazon after they released the How to be a better Pediphile book (they’ve since removed it only after an uproar). I am more than a little sad that I probably won’t be able to get the Turquoise one.

This is so exciting! I just love the fact that you have broken it down for those who don’t want a whole kit. I am excited to get the kit, however! Beautiful new designs!
This year January 1st falls on a Saturday; Any suggestions on how to begin for those of us going with the Sunday – Saturday week?
Do a “where we are now” type of thing. You can take a picture of each member of the family, journal about favorite things, ages, etc… That’s how I started last years.
Or what I did was do the lead up – just a couple days before. But I also inserted a dedication/what this project is page after the title page. So the first “week” was only the right hand side of the two page spread. I like Michelle’s idea too – you introduce the main “cast of characters” so to speak.
Is the binder the same thickness as the current one? I was not happy with all the “space” above the rings when closed and would love to buy a binder that is smaller to fit the great pages. Can you tell us the measurements of the new binder?

What a treat to see the new products introduced via video! And what a nice surprise to see a choice of styles. But now I’m on the horns of a dilemma — amber or turquoise? They are both so cool. If I really disliked one the choice would be so much easier

I love that you can but the binders separately as well as the page protectors. The white journaling cards are awesome. So easy to customize your album without having to cut down and corner round all of that cardstock.

I wondered how this concept works for past photos? Obviously, it’s a great product for documenting in the present. I have a backlog of photos that I’d like to do something with; any suggestions are appreciated.
These look great! I’ve been doing this for two years now, and have enjoyed the kit for 2010. Someone asked what kind of picture to take daily? I take anything, wood carvings my husband makes, crafts I’m doing, pictures of my ‘babies’, changing weather, strange chickens that showed up in my yard one morning, full moon, sporting events, fishing trips, sink full of dishes to wash, my washer and dryer, anything and everything works! It is really easy to do, doesn’t take very long to make it a habit.

I was talking to the hubs today about this project…there are so many pictures and things that I wouldn’t have made a page about, wouldn’t have made it into a album. But because I am documenting our year this way, I’ve included a lot more memorabilia that would’ve gotten thrown away! I’m so glad that I’m doing this project because now I have a sticky note from my kid that says “you rok mom!” A special note I wrote my hubs before a major event in his life and one from him to our son for the first day of school since he couldn’t make it!

Can you give us the actual dimensions of the journaling cards? I have a couple of weeks where I printed 3×4 photos to put in those slots and I ended up having to trim them a little bit at a time until they fit. It would help to know the exact dimensions for the perfect fit. Thanks!

Thanks so much for this past years project. It was my first attempt at anything so large and with such dedication required. I now have a typical year of our lives recorded for posterity and it was by and far the best gift that I could have received for 2010. Love the turquoise! Will the journaling cards have numbers on them like last year? Being the type A person I am, I found it a little more work to make sure that I had the journaling card with the right numbers on it and then to make sure I wasn’t repeating any cards on the page. LOVELY! I will be watching for the day we can order. I have loved my project life this year. It has been a wonderful way to record our life and so versitle to be used any way we want. I love the amber kit. Also love that the elements can be purchased separately as well. You have made me and many very happy. THANK YOU! p.s. my older 22, 24, 19 year olds get it out everytime they visit.
Totally excited!!!! I will definitely be buying the amber edition kit as soon as I can for 2011 and I just found out that I’m pregnant with my 4th child so as soon as I find out if I’m getting a 4th boy or finally getting a girl I’ll be picking up a kit for the new baby’s first year too. thank you Becky for being so creative the designs are amazing.

You know what would make these kits perfect? It would be the greatest, most wonderful, fantastical thing ever if there were templates to type and print the journaling on instead of having to write them by hand. Several of my friends and I have done P365 and Project Life (we love the kits and you!), and we all agree…we would love to be able to do the journaling on the computer. What do you say?

I have used my computer to type/ write on journaling cards. I type on my computer print it out on paper apply removable adhesive stick card on top of the paper and put through printer again. Yes you can do more than one!! I have done this for lots of things

What a great idea! What are the margins set at when you print? And what is this magical adhesive stick card that you are referring to? I’m envisioning an Avery label or something, but that doesn’t make sense since you print twice. Can you explain this to me? My Project Life and P365 friends are going to jump for joy if you can solve the hand-writing dilemma that we have…we all agree that it would be much easier and help us keep up on the project if we could journal on the computer. Thank you!
I do the the same as Patti. You can print onto any ordinary printer paper. Attach respositional glue to the back of the journaling card and stick it over the text you typed. Put it through the printer again and it prints in the same place therefore over the journaling card. To make sure your text prints the same size – type the text into a text box the size of your card. In the UK we have Herma respositional glue but I can see any website in the US that has this. Hope it helps.
oops meant to say I can’t see this glue in the US. I’m sure you must have something similar as the US has loads more scrapping stuff than we do.
I also do this, but just use regular Scotch tape to lightly tape the edges of the journaling card fast to the paper. I tape right on top of the journaling card, but just right close to the edge, and it easily slips back off when you’re done printing. Works great for me!

Where do I go to order the Amber version of Project Life?
I am so excited that the page protectors are now coming in vertical shape! This year (2010) I’ve been extremely careful on my PL 365 to do all of my pictures horizontal and that’s posed quite a challenge for me. It’s nice to know next year I can shoot in vertical if I want! YES!!!
Simply in love with the Amber kit!!! I was planning on getting my first ever project 365 kit today on clearance. It was such an awesome price. But my luck, It got sold out again before I could get to it. I had my son’s doctors appointment today and when I came back,it was sold out. Feeling kind of low about it. Maybe better luck next time.
When is the 2011 version available? I wanted to buy the 2010 for xmas for a couple people and it sold out on Black Friday.
Will the 2010 version be available again because I want to purchase that one for christmas as well?
