Project Life is being delivered.

I hope everyone had a truly wonderful weekend. I’d like to share this poem with you. Written by a fellow blog reader, this showed up in my inbox just before Christmas.

…………….

Twas the morning of the 23rd, when all through the house

Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there.

.

The boys were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of x-box games danced in their heads.

With mamma in her bed, still trying to sleep

Could not figure out what was making that peep

.

When at my front door there arose such a clatter,

I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the stairs I flew like a flash,

Tore open the front door and hoped I didn’t crash.

.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow

Gave the lustre of early morning to objects below.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But a Purolator Man, and a box filled with cheer!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,

And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!

A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,

Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

.

He spoke a few words, but went straight to his work,

And handed me my package, then turned with a jerk.

And laying his finger on the box for me to sign,

I quickly followed by putting my name on the dotted line!

.

He sprang to his van, to his horn gave a whistle,

And away he drove like the down of a thistle.

But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,

“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!”

My box full of cheer was a total surprise!

Didn’t expect it would come , I’m not gonna lie!

She continues…

Just wanted to share my excitement about getting my Project Life 2011 early! I am SOOOOOOOOO excited. I live in Canada and we always get things late, late , late. But this was such a nice surprise to get my package early, early, early!!!!

Thanks for creating this project. I got my first Project Life this year and it has been such a blessing in my life. I have taken pictures of moments that would have never been captured. It’s so much a part of who I am now – taking pictures of the everyday stuff. Thank-you for helping me to capture in a book what MY life is really all about.

Tamara in Okotoks, Alberta (Canada)

………….

Thank you Tamara! I love her wit and humor and excitement and the fact that she took the time to share that with me. Dar-LING. And remember MaryAnn’s video thank-you message and tour of her Project Life book? She, like Tamara, and like many of you, has also received her Project Life.

……………..

I’d love to see everyone’s I-got-my-Project-Life! pictures. It’s simple.

1. When you get your product, have someone take your picture with “the big white box”. Or get in front of the mirror. Or set the timer. (No, it doesn’t need to be in front of a Christmas tree.) Get creative or keep it simple. However you do it, you’ll have a little glamour shot of you + Project Life.

2. Email it to me at projectlife@beckyhiggins.com

Note: When you email me the picture, please be aware that you are giving me permission to share your picture here on my website or in other promotional material.

…………….

No, we are not done with the 12 Videos of Christmas. As far as I’m concerned, the Christmas season lasts as long as I’m eating fudge. And I’m still eating fudge.

The next video will be a tour of the Project Life kit, for those who are curious about what to expect when you open the box. In the meantime, many thanks to those of you who have ordered and who are telling others about Project Life.

Day 1 of sales resulted in Project Life being the #1 and #2 best-selling products in the entire Home & Garden section of Amazon on December 23. This screenshot was my POTD (picture of the day) for that very exciting Thursday. Again, thank you!

  1. CONGRATULATIONS BECKY……I have my Project Life waiting for me at our home in Maryland when we return from our mission here in Finland!! LOVE that you are such a talented gal……and our daughter!! :-) We are blessed! Love you….Mom (and Dad)

  2. Sue Thornton says:

Yay for the people out there receiving their new kits. It is SO exciting! I will try the digital this year so don’t have that anticipation of the big white box. But my POTD will be my computer screen when I can get started on it. Will it be available soon? And will there be a video of how to do stuff on it? Boy – almost done with 2010. It’s amazing when I look back over all the little things we did all year. Project Life rocks!

  3. Sheree says:

Question for anyone who ordered both kits in 2 different transactions. Have you received a shipping notice? I ordered the turquoise right when it was first available and a few hours later I ordered the Amber when it was available and got the free shipping. Both of them went into shipping soon status cannot change order that day (the 23rd). Its still showing the same status. My sister ordered the Amber kit that night and it shipped that night. I still have no shipping confirmation and am very jealous and upset. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat and if its cause I ordered I 2 separate transactions. So should have splurged on overnight shipping! Oh well, as long as it gets here right?

    • Leanne in CA says:

I did the exact same thing you did, ordered turquoise, then amber. They both shipped last night together in the same box, same fedex number, even though they were different order numbers. Your’s will get there! Hang in there and have fun with your new goodies.

    • Kristie says:

      Sheree,

I did the exact same thing as you, two separate transactions. And both my kits are still listed as shipping soon. I’m a bit jealous too. Guess we just have to be patient.

  4. Susan says:

Love the Turquoise Edition, Becky! Spent Sunday afternoon -while the kids played with their toys and husband took a nap :) -putting all the components in the album, writing in the dates, etc. so that it’s ready to go come Jan 2. Our album from 2010 will end on Jan 1. (This is my 3rd year doing your POD album.) Love how Dec 2011 nicely ends on a Saturday so that the album for 2012 can neatly start on a Sunday, lol.

Saw your comment about continuing your 12 days of Christmas – which, by the way, I’ve greatly enjoyed – and thought I’d mention that we’re actually now in the 12 days of Christmas… the day after Christmas Day through Epiphany (Jan 6). There’s more to the history of it, but that’s all I’ll mention for now since this comment is already long enough!

    • You’re so cute Susan. : ) I know about the 12 Days of Christmas starting after Christmas. I was never trying to match those 12 Days. Just wanted to share 12 videos throughout the month of December.

Yay for getting your 2011 book set up already. That’s awesome!

  5. marisa says:

Mine should be arriving tomorrow! First time using Project Life. So excited!

  6. Angela says:

Wish there were just the contents for both kids available, I already have albums and with a boy and girl buying both kids is quite pricey. Will there ever be a time you can get just the contents no albums? I would purchase that in a heartbeat.

  7. Deborah says:

My PL just arrived!!! So excited…will have to take a picture later…my hair products I ordered from your video the other day have not been delivered yet :) hee hee

  8. Debbie says:

Project Life is in the house!!! My 8 year old son knew it was coming today (my husband told him) and he ran to the door when he heard that “mailman knock.” My 5 year old son wanted to do the honors of taking my picture with the big white box. And my 11 year old son said, “Cool!” when he saw it. :) Can’t wait to dig in to it! Thank you Becky!

  9. Laurel says:

I ordered mine as soon as the Turquoise went up for sale. This darn snow has my box trapped in Richmond! I can’t wait for it to get here! :)

  10. Tricia says:

I recieved my kit today and I love it. This is the third year I will be scrapbooking this way. If anyone has an idea about how they will use the number stickers in the kit, please share. Becky, if you would like to share what your ideas were on how to use the numbers stickers I am sure a lot of us would appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Tricia

  11. Staci says:

I got my kit today!!!! I have done the everday photos the past 2 years on my family blog but never did your kit. I loved the idea and treasure all my photos from it. This year, I took the plunge and got the kit! I LOVE it! It’s going to be so simple! Wish I had bought it before! I can’t wait to see the video with your ideas. THANK YOU Becky!

  12. Lisa Walters says:

Yep…waiting…patiently for mine. Thank you so much Becky for sharing pics of others getting theirs. I remember when I got mine last year, oh that was SOOOOOOOO exciting. Again thanks for sharing:)

  13. Jude says:

Becky. Will you ever make Project Life available in the UK. Have just priced the 2011 kit up to get it shipped here, and it works out 6x’s more expensive than for other countries!!! :o My son’s wonderful girlfriend is over from the US for Christmas, and bought me the old version in the “Black Friday” sales – am sooooo jealous of those of you able to get it at a reasonable price! :-D Jude.x

  14. Laurel says:

My kit just arrived! It’s so beautiful and I can’t wait to get started with it! Thanks for inspiring me to do this for a second year, Becky! :)

  15. Katherine says:

I love this poem. I’m from Alberta too and it was great to get this before Christmas. Nice to see someone from Alberta featured on your blog. I really love my turquoise PL and am looking forward to using it this year.
