The talented Zachary Baird plays an original rendition of The First Noel on the piano. I looove piano music, so I’m having him serenade all of us today. And … one day when he’s really famous for his amazingness, you can say you first heard about him here on my blog. : )
Enjoy.

loved this! Becky you are better than you think.
Zach, that was beautiful and Becky not too shabby (all you need to do is practice). Just curious, where are your ornaments? I only see lights.
Gloria H.
Yay for Zach! He is seriously good. Now that I know he accepts food for payment… maybe I can afford to have him come serenade us for a few hours…
absolutely stunning!
Beautiful!
Oh that was simply phenomenal!! I could listen to him play for hours. Such a beautiful gift. Thanks for sharing Zach and his talent with us!!!
Thanks for that post Zach and Becky
He’ll be majoring in music in a few years, right? Such talent!
So many things to say right now…
Love your video segment you are doing right now.
Love the Baird family! I had the privilege of being Cam’s 3rd grade teacher. LOVE him!
The First Noel is my FAVORITE Christmas song!!
LOVE Zachary’s rendition!
I am just as good as you are at the piano
And SO wish I had the time to get back into it! Lucky for me, my hubby plays
Merry Christmas!
JUST.GOT.THE.CHILLS!
just what i needed to REALLY start feeling the Christmas spirit!
Thank you for the beautiful music. My eight year old son loves to play the piano and is quite talented himself if I may say so. He loved the video. Seeing a young man play the piano like this keeps him inspired.
Oh wow…can you say “goose bumps”?!?! Seriously, I have NEVER heard anything as BEAUTIFUL as Zach’s rendition…ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! I am such a Christmas fanatic…especially the music…and this really made my heart smile!!!
And, Becky…I seriously got goose bumps while listening to your tidbit of Silent Night….LOVED IT!!!
Your video has inspired me to check into piano lessons for myself….something that I have always wanted to do
Thanks you as always for inspiring and may you and your family have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas!!!!
What a gift from God you have Zach! Thanks so much for sharing with all of us. (And, Becky, since I can’t play a note you are to me what Zach is to you…lol)
Unbelieveably beautiful!! What a wonder gift of talent. Zach is truly blessed and you to but possibly to a lesser degree LOL
Wow! Amazing talent. That was beautiful. I can’t wait to show my son in the morning:) He is taking piano and this is inspiring!
Wow that was amazing.
Amazing! Loved it! Thanks for sharing him with us. I glad I took time out of my busy day to view this. It was just what I needed right now. Thank you Zachary.
Wow! Zachary is amazing!!
I can’t even do that LOL!
I too love listening to the piano.
I had a friend in school waaaay back when I was at school who used to play and I always used to make her play for me LOL!
You did a great job Becky
Merry Christmas!!
Wow. He plays beautifully. I play worse than you do, Becky. Really. I always wish I could play, but never learned.
Absolutely Beautiful!! One of my favorite things, especially during the holidays, is to listen to the piano. I have so many memories of my mom playing the piano. She still plays the organ and piano for church almost every Sunday. On Sunday we would be awaken to the beautiful sound of the piano. I don’t think that I appreciated it as much back then, but oh how I miss it now. I remember during the Christmas season we would sit along side her and sing as she played. That would probably be the best gift EVER, to get a recording (I was going to say tape!) of my mom playing all of my favorite songs. I do have the love for music even though I can not play, or sing well at all. I LOVE to listen to the piano, and feel like it really brings the Spirit of CHRISTmas into a home.
I would love one day to either have my daughter learn to play, or to eventually learn to play again. Thank you for the Beautiful Christmas song!!!
Zachary is a terrific pianist! I’m so impressed by his rendition of The First Noel! My kids play the piano, and my son (13-1/2) has written some of his own things, and I know how hard it can be for them. I truly appreciate you sharing Zachary’s talent with us!! And you did just fine! I can echo some of the previous commenters: you just need to PRACTICE! I tell my kids that ALL THE TIME! LOL!! I had to practice every day when I played the piano as a calling in church. Sadly I don’t anymore so I’m out of practice too. Oh well.
Wow, Zachary was amazing! Thank you Becky for sharing.
Zach that was simply AAAHhhhhMazing, I could listen to you play for hours, let us all know when you make a CD. Becky thanks for sharing this young mans amazing talent with us. I do not have a musical bone in my body so to hear such beautiful music is a real treat.
Thanks for sharing Zac with me I really enjoyed this. I look forward to your blog posts and am so enjoying them as they are bringing fun to my days.
Absolutely amazing – what talent!
That was amazing, Zach! Thanks for sharing your gift this Christmas. Loved the version of “The First Noel!” My daughter’s name is Noelle and she always loves to hear that song so I’ll be sharing this with her. Thanks, Becky!
Absolutely beautiful, Zach! And thank you Becky for sharing it with us. Has he by any chance written his arrangement down? My daughter (also 16) plays the piano and loves The First Noel. I’d buy a new arrangement for her that was that beautiful.
I’m just saying.
I wish I could play the piano or anything. God gave me 2 ears to enjoy the talent of others. I can’t sing either… wish I could. In our Sabbath School I was asked, “When you get to heaven what will be the first thing you do?” I was very serious in answering, “Ask Jesus what song he wants me to sing for him, because I won’t be made fun of in heaven.” This ended up being a family joke now…. but that is a talent I WISH I had but over the years have learned to enjoy the musical abilities of others!! Tell Zack… THANKS
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
Zach, That was AMAZING!
Becky, —Maybe a little practice—I’m just saying.
Lovely. Tell Zach thanks for sharing his talent with us; I enjoyed his music while paying my bills online. Happy Holidays!
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing your talent with us Zach. And thanks Becky for uplifting us with beautiful music!
Love, Love, LOVED the First Noel Zachary!!! Thanks for sharing Becky!!!! {your Silent Night was FUN too!!!
}
To Zachary…that was amazing…and I’m sure there is raw natural talent and lots of practice behind that!
To Becky…there is plenty of amazingness that comes from your hands…just maybe not on the piano
Merry Christmas!!!!
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing. The music is my favorite part of Christmas. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Wow, Zach is awesome! Becky, you’re a lot better than me… I can pretty much play with two fingers, no chords or anything, lol. Thanks for sharing!
Just ordered my kit the Turquoise one can’t wait to get it in my hands!!!!
He is a very talented young man. The music was beautiful and also the movement of his hands; so fluid and graceful.
Thank you for sharing Zach’s talent; however, when was the last time you had your piano tuned? Zach’s little performance would have sounded better if you had your piano tuned recently. Some of the mid-range notes sounded a little tinny.
thank you for sharing his “amazingness”. LOVED it.
That was amazing! I wish I could have him play at my house all day. He’s got some serious talent!
iTunes would be downloading Zachary’s song to my computer if it were available. Loved it!
Zach…you are awesome! That was so beautiful and inspiring! I, too, love the Bairds!!
Really Beautiful !!!!! My 19 year old son took lessons from age 6-18, he is also very talented, I however do not have the gift of music but can appreciate it….
Keep up the good work both of you !!
Zach – that was amazing! Thanks so much for sharing with us. I hope your talent takes you wherever you hope to go. I’ll be playing this one over and over again. Merry Christmas!
WOW! You are blessed to have a friend that can write and play like that! I’m sure that won’t be the last we hear from him!
Bee-you-tee-full. Thanks to both Zachary and Becky.
Zach, can I download that from itunes
? i totally would – so peaceful and joyful. Thank you.
wish your blog had a “like” button.
That’s awesome that your kids do LPM. I’m teaching it and it’s amazing what my kids can do now that they know those chords.
Really enjoyed Zach’s performance!
This young man needs to have his own Christmas music CD next year! I’ll pre order. Becky…. you are a business woman… you can help him. Amazon is excellent for on time delivery!
Wow! That was amazing! My son’s name is Zachary, and he loves piano too. He is only 7 and has had 1 year of lessons. I hope someday he can play like Zachary in your video. Thank you for sharing this. It was truly beautiful!
By far my favourite video Becky. I could (and *ahem* have) play Zachary’s song over and over. Just gorgeous music. That’s one talented young man. Like Maria says he should put out a CD. I’d definitely buy it
Wow what a beautiful composition! Thank you for sharing with us Zachary! Beautiful I loved this!!!
Absolutely beautiful. I closed my eyes while he played and pictured the words to the song, with images of the shepherds in the fields and the birth of our Savior. Thank you for sharing Zachery’s talent with us.
That kid needs a recording contract! I hope you will offer his first CD on your website for sale. I’ll be the first blog reader to buy it! Thanks for sharing!
