These are my glasses. From my teenage years. For. Real.
When I came across these the other day and blew the dust off these old things, a flood of memories came pouring in. I haven’t seen them for years. My kids got a kick out of knowing that these were on my face every day for years.
When you come across something old and nostalgic, perhaps that could be your POTD. Or maybe you have something old and sentimental currently out or on display in your home. You see it all the time. It’s a part of your life today, just as it was back then. Take a picture. Memorialize the item. Jot down some associated memories. What does it represent?

One of my favorite POTD is my cell phone. THink back 5 years ago, 10 years ago…Think how much they have changed and continue to do so. It is fun to look back on that

We are on the same page today.
I am doing a picture a day, just like the last 2 years. But now that you have the page protectors as a “sold separately” option, I will use those to add extra “categorical” layouts here and there. One of them is “Blast From My Past” — pictures of things from yesteryear (yestermillenium?) still around that I haven’t gotten rid of yet: first cassette tapes I ever bought (Duran Duran and Madonna), first camera (pink Le Clic), etc. Didn’t think about my old glasses, but I will add a pic of those too. (I think the tiny heart sticker I put in the upper corner of the lens is still there!)
Would have been cute to see the glasses on you now
Great photos!
Its kind of ironic that a pair of eye glasses can send us down memory lane in such a strong way. But, they are literally the lenses through which we saw our worlds! (I came across several pairs from my grade school years not too long ago and I remember it like I was six years old again! :>)
Those are nothing compared to what I had. I had big pink yes PINK glasses with a rose tinting on them. Then I had my initials on the corner in stickers. I recently saw some old photos of me with these glasses on and could not believe I actually ever wore them!
I have done pictures like this for my POTD. I have a problem with being able to let go of things. As a result, I have a lot of clutter. These kind of pictures have allowed me to take a photo of an item that I am holding on to for whatever reason and then let the item go. I get to preserve the item with its story forever without taking up space! I never realized that my scrapbooking habit would allow me to resolve my clutter problems! I love Project Life!! Rene
That’s what I do!

I have old glasses from my teenage years that look almost just like those! Mine had pink and purple floral frames though :S
I just took a photo of my 11 bottles of green nail polish and included the story for my POTD. Growing up, one of my favorite Aunt’s always had her finger and toe nails painted a very specific shade of green. ALWAYS. I loved it. When I reached college age I adopted the tradition, although choosing only to paint my toes. (I’m just too active to keep my fingernails looking nice, and too lazy to do daily maintenance.) I don’t stick to one shade or the same as my Aunt. As I was cleaning up my closet the other day I decided to gather all the polish together and take a photo. 11 bottles. Who knew?!? (I go in phases so some were buried in a storage box with fake nails and other bits of nail care that are rarely used.)
Great find! Wish I still had my Sally Jesse raphael glasses
I think I have the same pair hiding in my bathroom drawer from high school. Fun stuff! Thanks for sharing!
OMG…I cannot even see you in glasses…well maybee some cute little funk ones. They have such awesome ones today. Thanks for inspiring me…once in awhile…not often but sometimes I am just not sure what my POTD is going to be. Now I know it is way ok to go back to look into the past too:) Thanks for sharing!!
Not sure where they are but I have the matching pair to those! LOL!
One of my potd’s from two weeks ago was a list I came across while cleaning out a few boxes. This list was written by me when I was 19. You might wonder why I held onto a list for over 15 years, but there’s a good reason. This list was the 10 qualities I wanted in my future husband. I can tell you that God brought me a man who has all the qualities, plus some I didn’t even know I needed! I look forward to sharing this list with my daughter (who I hope to adopt someday).

OMG…I think I had those exact same glasses. Might have been my first year of college. Now I’m going to have to dig through the old photos to see!
Like everyone else I just happen to take a picture the other day of my Nan’s two lolly(candy) jars that sat in her dinning area while I was growing up, she left us in 1988 and I am so thankful that I have these two jars. I was going to post them on Facebook so my brothers and cousins could see then and ask them how many memories do these jars bring to their mind – I can imagine lots – if only these jars could talk.
I have these same glasses, my kids use them for 80′s day at the middle or high school, and they wear the big hair like we used to!! They popped the lenses out of those babies and have so much fun with my “old” glasses!
