I’m pleased to announce the arrival of …
* To refresh your memory, the Project Life kit comes with Divided Photo Pocket Pages – Design A as well as journaling cards with designs. You can see all of the kit contents HERE. These new items that showed up today are sold as extras. Or if you’re not doing Project Life right now, use these items for other scrapbooking projects. Endless possibilities!
* Divided Photo Pocket Pages come in a pack of 12.
* Design A is for horizontal 4″ x 6″ photos. It’s what comes in a Project Life kit. Very same design.
* Design B is for vertical 4″ x 6″ photos. Finally, right!?
* Journaling cards come in a box of 100. They fit perfectly in ALL of the Becky Higgins Divided Photo Pocket Pages. They do not have designs like the ones in the Project Life kit. Just a simple grid pattern. Blank and ready for your handwriting … or decorate them if you choose!
Full information about these products is included in the Amazon listings. But should you have any questions about this stuff, ask away. I know many of you have very specific plans with these super versatile items. My plan? Serious catching up on pictures from past years. If you want more inspiration, that’s coming too. : )

Thanks so much for letting us know the page protectors and journaling cards are at Amazon! Just placed my order! So excited. My plans are for a POTD…we’ll see how it all goes. Planning on being flexible and just recording the new year as it comes. LOVE Project Life! You are a HUGE inspiration! Thank you!
Becky, I ordered Project Life last week, and then ordered TWO pkgs of the vertical 4×6 page pockets and THREE pkgs of journaling cards today. Can’t wait for everything to arrive! It will seem like Christmas all over again!
Woo Hoo! You rock! Can’t wait to see the inspiration–everything you do is inspirational!
Happy New Year Becky and to all of your blog readers! I am excited to hear your plans for catching up with past photos, and look forward to another year of PL, yay!
thank you so much!!!
How many pages come in each order for $6.99? (I didn’t see it in the description but maybe I just overlooked). I am so excited to get started!!
like I said…I overlooked! It’s right in your post! 12
THANKS!
Yahoo to the vertical photo pocket pages…and the blank journal cards.
Glad you’re now offering Design B for vertical/portrait photos, but I wish two of the 3×4 slots had been combined to make a fourth 4×6 slot. Maybe Design C for 2012???
Oh, and going left to right … I have columns of two 6×4, then the four journaling spots, then two more 6×4 slots.
We tried that. Short answer: It was a manufacturing issue that wouldn’t allow for that design. We’re all just so happy to now have photo pocket pages for vertical pictures! : )
And yes, there will be a Design C and D and E and …
Hi Becky,
I like Cheryl’s suggestion.
Also, How about instead of 3 vertical at the top…you put two on each of the corners and journal spots in between. This will give us four vertical photos with four journal spots in between….makes it perfect to journal. Perhaps…a design F…:).
Thanks..and I uderstand that it was not possible this year. Also, when is your school kit coming out.
Rama.
Hi so excited for the new product, just checking if the page protectors are somethingthat will be available all year or do I need to get a years worth right now? Thanks so much
Journaling Card Questions… the cards that come with the kit – do they only have lines one-way so they would need to be used vertically? how many cards of each design are there? the journaling cards that are separate – is it a faint blue for the grid?
I am still debating about what to purchase for my needs…. I take such a mix of vertical and horizontal photos… instead of the new pages which would mean the photos for the next week would have to be vertical for the same number of days, I may just have to tilt my head so with the gridded journal cards my handwriting would match the photo!!
I also like the idea of consistant journaling cards for a layout to cut down of the “clutter” of the page – the photos in terms of color and content will already be so diverse, it may give the eye a place to rest.
I’ve been following for quite some time and I’m glad to have options – just need a little more information
Thank you.
Yeah! Everything looks great and my Amber addition is on the way!! I am so excited about starting year 3!
Becky have you ever thought about creating a punch to go with the kit? I put at least one photo in the journaling card section each week. It fills up the extra spot, and gives me the chance to add another photo from the week. It would save me so much time if I could just punch out the picture to a uniform size and shape–the journaling card size. I traced one of the journaling cards onto a clear plastic sheet, but it isn’t perfect and my free-hand cutting isn’t either!–just a thought!
Happy New Year and congratulations on the great new products!! Your hard work really shines through!
LOVE THIS IDEA!!!!!!
Project life has permanently change the way I scrapbook. I bought one of each kit on for my boys (I’ll highlight four pics/month) and the amber for myself. Any way that you could include some of those pocket page envelopes (like in the old baby and school kit)? I’d love to be able to keep things in there.
Just purchased 5 packs of Design A photo pockets and one pack of journaling this morning. So excited to get started on Project 365. Looking forward to all the rewards that the project will bring such as improving my photography skills and recording our year… a photo at a time. Thank you for being so inspirational Becky! Here’s to a great year!
vertical pages protectors!! yay!!!
So totally excited about the journaling cards. They’ve been ordered!
Everything looks great! I am trying to decide between the kit or the digital version (I think I am leaning toward digital). When will the 2011 digital version be available? Thanks in advance!
LOVE LOVE LOVE EVERYTHING BECKY! Seriuosly
But one teeny tiny little request, could you make the page protectors (and other small accessories) available for international shipping? the Australian/NZ distributor has run out of the vertical and has said they wont be re-stocking
Im a huge Amazon fan and have stuff sent to Australia all the time….would love to add page protectors to the list
Any reason why they can be sold out of the USA on Amazon? Thank your so much for all your inspiring work
Hi Becky
I am desperately trying to order Project Life but the website hasn’t been coming up for me and I have been trying since before Christmas. I live in Aust and I have been able to get to different stages of it on different days but once I try to put it into my cart the site bumps me out. Is there any other way than this NZ site I can get it from. Thanks.
PS Sorry to request this here I couldnt’ seem to request information anywhere else either. Maybe I am not as computer literate as I thought??
Fiona
Yeah, the catching up with these items is a great idea!
Unrelated, but I will ask anyway…as a person who lives in the valley and missed getting a shot of the SNOW capped mountains just north of the valley last week, did you happen to get a shot you would be willing to share? I would love to have this for my project 365.
Hey Becky — Were your parents the ones in Finland? I saw this picture and thought of you

And I read this somewhere online….
15°C – It does not get hotter than this in Finland, so we begin here; the Spaniards put on caps, winter jackets and gloves. The Finns sunbathe.
10°C – French try in vain to start the central heating in their houses. The Finns plant flowers in their gardens.
5°C – Italian cars will not start. The Finns are cruising in their convertibles.
0°C – Distilled water freezes. The water in Vantaa River gets a bit thicker.
-5°C – People in California almost freeze to death. The Finns grill the final sausage before winter.
-10°C – Brits start up the heating in their homes. The Finns put a sweater on.
-20°C – Aussies flee from Mallorca. Finnish Midsummer celebrations stop, autumn has arrived.
-30°C – People in Greece die from the cold and disappear from the face of the earth. The Finns start drying their laundry indoors.
-40°C – Paris cracks and crumbles in the cold. The Finns queue at the hot dog stand.
-50°C – Polar bears start evacuating the North Pole. The Finnish Army postpone their winter survival training until it gets properly cold.
-60°C – Korvatunturi freezes. The Finns rent a movie and stay indoors.
-70°C – The fake Santa moves south. The Finns get frustrated because you can’t store Kossu (Koskenkorva) outdoors. The Finnish Army goes out on winter survival training.
-183°C – Microbes in food do not survive. The Finnish cows complain that the farmers’ hands are cold.
-273°C – ALL atom-based movement stops. The Finns start saying “Perkele, it’s cold out there today.”
-300°C – Hell freezes over. Finland wins the Eurovision Song Contest.
This is Becky’s mom responding. YES we are here in Finland……our 2nd Winter here…..It is COLD and so far in the Helsinki area we have had 62 inches of SNOW…..it is a KAUNIS SUOMALAINEN TALVI……beautiful Finnish Winter! And winter is JUST beginning……we love it here….and your above ‘poem’ is absolutely adorable! And it is SO true! Thanks for sharing it…….The picture is perfect as well…..sooooooo Finland!!
Have a great week….Becky’s mom and dad
LOVE the white grid cards. great idea!
Project Life has had a profound effect on MY life, being that I want to make 2011 my families best year yet. Recording a picture a day makes me want to fill our days with more fun, free (or cheap), outdoorsy stuff and (here’s the big one)… my husband and I are planning our first CRUISE!! we have always wanted to go on one and this year, we shall. So I can record it in Project Life
Thank you Becky.
I really want to the amber kit. All this talk is making me jealous! I love the idea of this. I used to scrapbook the old way and it took so long. I hoping to purchase it soon. Love your stuff Becky! And any more great recipes coming soon? hint hint
Hi Becky,
Thanks for the update! I have been waiting for the vertical protectors and just ordered two packs of them and the Amber kit. I can’t wait for that box to show up in the mail to help me document my family’s life in 2011. Thanks for all that you do – keep up the good work!
This may be an insane question but last year I started my week with Sunday just because I felt like Sunday was the first day of the week. I also noticed that I didn’t set up the first page correctly when I looked at my new package and saw the instructions on how to set up the first and last page. Did I just totally miss that in the last package??? I must be a complete moron. Anyhoo, I will set it up correctly this time but I’m wondering, are you going to begin your week with Saturday, as January 1 was a Saturday? I’m not sure it really matters but I’m wondering how everyone else is going to work that. I guess I could pester Jen C. about it but I always pester Jen with my crazy questions about Project Life, the recipe to the Sunburst Salad (or something like that), other crafty things so I thought I would head to the source first before I drove her nuts. That’s way she has four 1/2 kids, right?
I think the new kits are simply lovely, by the way. My husband and I bought one for our darling nephew and his new wife for a wedding gift. They might think we are nuts and possibly would have preferred the Target gift card but we hope they will really use it and have a gift that will truly last a lifetime. You don’t need some silly photo of me on your blog but hopefully Trey or Courtney might send you a photo receiving their big white box…even if it has a picture with a notecard next to it with a question mark or a note saying, “Would rather have received a gift card.” In my mind, I’m picturing smiles though. I hope can’t wait to begin another year with Project Life and already have ideas on how to incorporate my kids into helping with the photo taking and journaling (possibly my husband too who is often on the road) in 2012.
Kindly,
Ali Thompson

Hi Becky
Just a quick question regarding the photo protectors, do they fit a 12 x 12 Binder?
Thanks, Love your blog
Kelly
Ack! I just tried to order the Turquoise edition of PL and it’s out of stock, any idea when Amazon will have more?
Hi, Becky. I wanted to tell you – I’m so deeply jealous of these women who have project life at the start of their families. I can’t even imagine how much I would treasure those albums from when my children were babies. I should just count my blessings that I have traditional scrapbooks from those periods, but this would be an absolute heirloom to me. {sigh} So, what I’m really here to tell you… my daughter is 9 and is homeschooled. She is also in American Heritage Girls (like Girl Scouts but Christian) and one of the badges is a photography badge. I’m having her do a picture a day during the month of January. I’m so excited for her to have this keepsake of her developing photography skills! It won’t go in a PL binder, but it will be going into a 8×8 CK book I bought off QVC from you! LOL.
My PL kits should be arriving today – according to Amazon and I am beyond excited!! Cheers!
I was so excited to see that the page protectors were finally available and when I went to Amazon to finally place my order I found that the Turquoise edition says it is currently unavailable.
Please tell me that they will be getting more. I so love your design for that edition and can’t wait to get started for this year. Thank you for all your hard work.
I see that the 2011 Digital Version are now online. Will you be adding more journaling card options? The ones there now are very simple and was hoping that you would be adding the ones that come with the paper kids, as they look very cute.
Hey! Excited about these kits. Am making my own at the moment for the odds and ends pictures floating on my desk for a “mom” book and am about to order both of these.
One suggestion: I do not think Amazon is listing the number of refills in the packs. It would be helpful to have that info listed there for shopping for people who land there first looking for divided photo pages like me, instead of finding you here a week later.
(I’ve read your blog a long time, so I knew where to fish for information).
Have a great day!
