That looks totally awesome! And has inspired me to scan and keep some of my children’s artwork on the computer instead of just on our art wall…where it eventually gets torn or lost or just replaced by newer pieces. I’m not a digital scrapbooker…but I am intrigued. My own Project Life (both versions) just came in the mail a couple of weeks ago. But, alas, I haven’t even been able to see it as I have been down with an injury compounded with rotten hay fever. I am looking forward to getting my grubby hands on it though very soon!!! Thanks for all the inspiration, big and small…just like that yellow background on this website…gives me a little cheer for the day just to see it:)

    Hi Becky,
I live in the UK and have just ordered Project Life through a Canadian company. Do you have any plans to have a UK distributor or to use amazon.co.uk? I think there that would be a lot of interest if this were to be the case.
    Many thanks,
Ruth (in cold, but sunny London)

I’m doing the digital version this year for the first time and I love it. I do the journaling day by day and add pictures about once a week. I would love to buy a couple of these books though and print one for our family and one for each of my kids. Will this 25% off work to print multiple copies of the same book?

    Hey Becky!

I love this option and think I will use it to do my chronological family book for this year….if I prepay now for one book and get the 25% off. How would that work if I wanted to get multiple copies later on? I have 4 kiddos and just am not sure if I want to make books for each of them all at once every time. How easy is it after we print one to make more copies later on? and can the 10% of apply with the 25% off? Sorry so many ???s just trying to get organized! You and your products make that tangible!

  5. Rosa says:

I love the idea for all the artwork! I have a huge box full of artwork from all 3 kids and have been waiting to scan and do something with it all. THIS is the answer.

Any chance you will be offering a digital kit to match the papers so we can add digi layouts to our PL books? I would LOVE that! I think PL is a great way to manage photos, but I also like to design some special layouts, and it would be great if they could match!

Great service with your PL kits, by the way! I was impressed!

  7. Yay! I was planning on starting this week and am SO happy that there is a SALE!!!!! Thanks!!! I love stretching my dollars.

Can I apply this to my books that I’ve already started??? I JUST started last week! I’m so excited about this option that is helping me continue to preserve my family’s memories.

Hi Becky! Just purchased the digital project life today, and I’m already getting started. One question – - is there any way to zoom in to be able to see things better? (ie: circling the dates, reviewing how the text appears in the journaling boxes…) I do use the maximized screen, but the sizes of these things are very small. Thanks so much!

    • sheena says:

Look at the bottom right of your computer screen(by the clock usually) and right above it you will see a magnify glass with 100%…..well click that and enlarge to any size all the way up to 400% and then click it back down to the normal size…I do this when typing my journal cards and to proofread…and to just see it better!!! Hope it helps!!!

  10. Jen says:

I have the same question. I would really like to see the journaling up close so I can really see what it will look like when it’s printed. Good question!

This only enlarges the rest of the screen on my computer, not any of the items on the books I am creating.

        • sheena says:

oh well on my computer it makes the pics and journal cards large….I am in the regular view on the website though…not clicked on that button for “their enlarged view”. I just have a reg computer though….HP not a MAC. Don’t know if that matters either with types of computers. Sorry it didn’t work for you.

I can’t figure out how you got the black strip on the left side of your covers…HELP!! I can either make it all black or entirely covered with my family’s photo that I want to use. Thanks :)

As I see in today’s comments, there have been a few questions about ordering multiple copies of the same book. I wondered similar questions and went on the digi section and couldn’t really find out if there was a discount when ordering multiple copies.

In addition, do you have ++volume discounts? For example, love, love, LOVE the art book you did for Porter! With 1 child in grade 1, 1 child in preschool, and twins which just began daycare, the amount of art coming into my house is insane – love the idea of snapping a pic and feeling “better” about throwing most of the originals. I, like many keep the best and have snapped a photo of the item, but never knew where to put all these photos. Anyhow, back to my question: love the digi version for a gift idea for our huge family this coming Christmas. We are always stuck with the perfect gift for everyone and with 4 kids, making something is getting more and more difficult, yet with this I could easily do a family album as the perfect gift. Thinking ahead when I add all the parents, grandparents on both sides of our families, plus books for ourselves and each of the kids, etc. the numbers of some books could amount to easily 10+ books. But, considering that’d be a pretty big purchase, what, if any, discount would there be if you ordered more than just a few books?

    Thanks in advance Becky!

How awesome is that?! I’ll have to give it a try.

quick question for ya. i have been keeping up with my digital project life since january (yay) and was wondering if i could prepay for that one without having to start a totally new book.

  15. stephanie says:

Hi, Becky. On your book, Porter’s Art, how did you get the scanned art to take up the entire space on the page?

Also, can you add text at the bottom if you take up the entire space with a scanned image? I have not labeled my son’s work, but it would be nice to include that.

    Thanks !

    • Amy B. says:

I think i might be able to answer your question. Drag the photo to a photo box on the page, with the photo selected (green box around it- just click on the photo) and then select “set as background” from the black box of choices. Then you can drag a text box over onto the photo to label it or write about it. Hope this helps.

    Hi Becky,

I’ve spent the weekend working on recording 6 years worth of our lives. I’ll admit I was hesitant at first. I am a digi scrapper and wasn’t sure about the program and lack of being able to tweak things, but it is so easy that I’m excited about it. I would like to break this project up into 2 books (I’ve only created layouts for the first 3 years). Can you get the discount on single copies of multiple books?

My biggest question is why is the regular cost for a 106 page book $99.99, while an approximately 60 page book is $92? It doesn’t make sense to me. I would really like to know. I would like to make two smaller books, but it doesn’t make sense to if one huge (though condensed) book is so much more reasonably priced. I’d love to hear the rational. I’m sure others would to. Thanks!

    Hi~
I don’t see where the digital books are 25% off as it said in the blog. I only see 10% off if you pre-pay?
