Just a little tip for those of you who are using Project Life. I know some of you are doing this:
Rounding the corners of your photos is a nice touch. The title cards, filler cards, and journaling cards that come with Project Life all have rounded corners. Rounding your own corners just may be the finishing touch you want. This Fiskars punch is one I’ve been using for years and I love the squeeze mechanism of this one.
Simple to use. Insert the corner of your photo. Squeeze.
Your corner is now perfectly rounded.
This particular curvature is very, very close to the curvature of our Journaling Cards. Look closely at the comparison of the corners here.
This is a full Project Life layout (Amber edition) with all the photo corners rounded. (Thank you Brenda Reed for letting me share a week in the life of your darling family. And great job staying up-to-date with daily pictures this year!)
Fiskars Squeeze punch can be found here.

I’m currently using my wavy line scissors to round the corners, but a punch is currently on the way! I’ll be so happy when it arrives!
A rounded corner punch was the second tool I ever bought for scrapping, eleven years ago. Love the look! :>
I’ve been rounding my corners for all 3 years of this project, kept the page “in order” IMHO. I use a Creative Memories corner rounder that I bought when I started scrapping in 1999! Best money I ever spent on a scrap tool….well, not counting PL
I have also bee rounding my corners since the beginning of this project and I love the uniform look. I’ll have to try the Fiskars punch with the squeeze approach — it might be easier on my hands. Love PL and love your blog!!!
Oh man. When I got my corner rounder I was obsessed. I was rounding every corner I came across! I’ve toned it down some now, but I still love those rounded corners.
Oh this is so good to know before I order any pictures to get started! The lab I print through can round them all for me:)
What lab do you use??
I’m needing to buy a new rounder. I love rounding the corners but the one I use doesn’t work that well. Always leaves the side looking weird.
I love this punch! I think it will last as I have been rounding all my corners in PL this year! Looks so finished!
And I just have to tell you that Dad and I have visited the FISKARS factory right here in Finland!! Great place if anyone is over this way…..FISKARS, FINLAND!!! They even have a great little restaurant where you can have lunch. I even bought several Fiskars ‘cutter’ while there! Great Product! Love you…..
That’s a much nicer corner rounder than I have been using. I will have to look for it.
Oh yeah! I have been doing this for the last two years! It really gives Project Life a good look.
I rounded the corners the first year I did this project and LOVE the look. It was a lot of work, but worth it! I loved how it matched the journaling cards.
Ever since I started I have always rounded the corners on my pictures. I
think that they look better that way. I did it for Project 365 and both of the
Project Life Kits.
I have a small round punch that I use
As I am putting the picture in the pages that is when I do the
rounding of the pictures.
This is my first year using PL. At first, I did not round the corners but then I saw on another blog that someone was using the corner punch to round them and thought it looked really nice! Very good idea to keep all things looking uniform!
Hi Becky,
This may sound silly but is the corner rounder the 1/4″ or the 1/2″ size? It looks like the 1/2″.
Perhaps in the long run both would look good but I don’t want to get the larger one and then it is too large.
thanks so much.
Marcia
I would love to see a nestability die the exact size of these spots for my Cuttlebug. I use my rectangle die a lot for a perfectly squared, quick crop of a photo, but having the exact squared and rounded dies would be awesome!
