I mention Camera+ and Instagram often. They’re my two main go-to photography apps these days. I recently shared some of our panoramic photos, where I used AutoStitch. I love exploring other photography apps and would love to hear your recommendations as well. For now I wanted to share another one I’ve enjoyed playing with. It’s called Pocketbooth and it’s like a portable photo booth. So how fun is that?
Here’s a glance at the same pictures taken with the different color/filter options … just to give you an idea.
Can you tell I was playing with this app on an airplane? Nice. I chose the option of just 3 frames per strip, but you can do the traditional 4 as well. And there are other features you can adjust, but I’ll let you discover all that for yourself. The app is really simple and I like that there aren’t too many bells & whistles to adjust.
And really — it’s just fun. As we head into the weekend, I think this could be a 99-cent purchase that goes a long, long way. Wishing you all a happy weekend, with or without apps.

I heard about Mobile Photobooth on the Paperclipping Roundtable. We love it!
I have this app and love it!!!
I have this too. Curious if you ever printed these?
I have printed them before and they turned out great! I opened them in Photoshop and dragged quite a few strips onto an 8×10 background. After they were printed, I just cut them apart into the strips and attached them to a layout. Super fun!
does anyone know of an android version ? I have a Sansung Galaxy s.
Just searched the market on my Android phone and found an app called PhotoBooth and it is free. There was another one called Pocket Photo Booth but the reviews I read were not good. Searched for the others that Becky mentioned and couldn’t find anything with those names.
Hi, I am the developer of Pocketbooth and glad to see the mention from Becky.
There is an Android version — you can get it on the Android Marketplace and the Amazon App Store. Here’s a link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.mindsea.pocketbooth
We have a few features in the works that should make it an even more useful tool for scrapbooking.

Theres seriously an option for “1975″?! Thats awesome and strange at the same time! And looks exactly like my baby pictures LOL That app looks like tons of fun!
Pocketbooth is by far the best app I have for just having fun! Great to use with kids
I have just discovered Postal Pix…they have recently added a 4×4 option for all of your Instagram pics. Order right from your phone & they’ll mail your photos!! I’m waiting on my first order, but have heard great things about it. Anyone else have any experience with it?
Love hipstamatic. It’s my favorite!
I have three folders of iPhone photography apps – totally addicting. My go-to is definitely Hipstamatic because the options are seriously endless. PictureShow is really good as is Pano.
Love, love, love Hipstamatic…choosing the lenses, flash and film can be lots of fun and you end up with such cool and different results
I’m the developer of Pocketbooth and wanted to say thanks for mentioning our app.
We have a few updates on the horizon which should make Pocketbooth an even more useful app for scrapbooking.
(Thanks to Barb M. — one of your devoted readers — for alerting me to your post)
