Let’s just get right to it. Ladies and gentlemen … the following items are what we will have available by October 2011. Please read my commentary for details.
Yes, this looks familiar for a reason. It’s the same Turquoise binder we’ve had all year. But we’re running out of these, like everything else that has sold out. So I’m telling you now, this is the time to stock up on this binder if you want. More of these binders will become available, but the new binders are likely going to be a little more expensive than our original binders for several reasons. As soon as we have new images/info/pricing, of course I will share. FYI: The new binders will have a solid color spine that coordinates with the album, as well as a metal bookplate for labeling the binder. Those are the main visual differences.
……….
No, this is not a mystery box. I’m not keeping the contents secret. I just don’t have the actual Core Kits here to photograph yet, so this graphic will have to do for now. The box is approximately 7″ x 7″ x 4.5″ tall. What’s inside? The Project Life CORE components. Specifically, this includes all the title cards, filler cards, first and last page cards, journaling cards, bi-fold journaling cards, and stickers you would need to complete a full album (and then some!). As a bonus, we even threw in a stack of 3×4 Grid Journaling Cards! The aforementioned “core contents” are still pictured here. NOTE: Only what I’ve listed here, is in the Core Kit.
……….
Now you can get as much 12×12 cardstock in your favorite Project Life collection(s) as you want! This quality double-sided designer cardstock is meant to be used with other Project Life components if you’d like, or not at all. These are great designs for any scrapbooking, card making, and crafting projects.
……….
See Turquoise Binder above. Same story. Amber binders still in stock can be found here.
……….
See Turquoise Edition of the Core Kit above. Same story.

……….
This is another item that may be familiar to many of you. These incredibly versatile, incredibly popular little boxes of 100 grid Journaling Cards have sold out and we’re bringing them back. Plain + simple, they’re a staple.
……….
Remember the Scrapbook Dividers that came in the full Project Life kits? They were designed with numbers and/or months. We know you have more uses for these, so we made them as generic as possible — keeping the design neutral, versatile, and classic. Think about your other scrapbooks. Think about those school and childhood albums you are working on (or will be working on) for your kids. Or any kind of scrapbooking that you do! Oh, the organizational possibilities. And … we’re including sticker labels for the part that sticks out above your page protectors. Those stickers are all about options. We’re giving you months and numbers and school years, that are even applicable to most countries. And … of course blank labels for whatever you want! The material is a sturdy, sandblasted, acid-free plastic that is still thin enough to not add bulk to your album. Leave them classic + simple or embellish the Scrapbook Dividers however you’d like. The sky’s the limit.
……….
You have been begging for these! Hooray that they’re finally coming! Made of a similar material as the Scrapbook Dividers, these pockets will hold artwork, papers, memorabilia, cards, and any treasures you want. The flap tucks into the front (no bulky snap), and you’ll have a place to label and identify your contents with the pocket and label cards. There is plenty of room inside this 12×12 Big Pocket Page. For planning purposes, you may want to have a Big Envelope Page per year for your child’s scrapbooks.
……….
You are already familiar with Design A. It’s the classic Project Life design that allows for 4×6 photos and 3×4 Journaling Cards. We anticipate selling out of what’s currently in stock at the moment. So get what you want now, if you don’t want to wait until more come in October!
NOTE: We’ve raised the bar and have improved the quality of all of our new Photo Pocket Pages. You’re going to love them!
………
Same story as Design A. We currently have some of Design B in stock on Amazon.com, but we anticipate selling out soon.
………..
Okay … NOW … Let’s unveil the NEW Photo Pocket Page designs. I’ll preface with this: You likely have a problem called sooo-many-photos-that-I-need-to-do-something-with, right??
Solution: Don’t stress about designing scrapbook pages if that’s not your thing. Just use these Photo Pocket Pages to slip in your photos and even your memorabilia. We have title cards + Journaling Cards to fill in the gaps and help you organize and document it all. Easy-peasy my friends.
Design F is one of my absolute faves. Think wallet-sized school photos, or filling them all with Journaling Cards that have anecdotes and memories written on them. Think receipts and tickets and handwritten notes. And of course 3×4 photos. With a 4×6 title card at the top, of course.
This is our solution for including horizontal and vertical photos and Journaling Cards in one page. The unique size is intentional, as we know many of you enjoy various page protector sizes. There is not a single wasted inch in this design.
We used to include a pack of 54 Photo Pocket Pages in our full Project Life kits. Now we’re throwing in a few extras because we know how much you love the versatile designs for so many projects! There are plenty of these pages to fill an entire album or two (depending on how bulky you get!). These come in a classic white Becky Higgins box that you’ll love for long-term storage of … whatever you want.
……….
Another Big Pack of Photo Pocket Pages, and this one has a variety of designs. For planning purposes, this is what I strongly recommend you pick up to go along with all the school/childhood products that are coming early 2012. We’re just offering this Big Pack ahead of time so that you can start organizing and working on such things. I’ll be talking more about that in the coming weeks.
……….
{ a few last notes }
1. Prices. I know you want prices but we don’t have those solidified yet. I will let you know when we know. In general, manufacturing costs have gone up and that is out of our control, but we are doing everything we can to keep the prices low. We love making scrapbooking affordable!
2. Timing. Everything that has been pictured in this blog post is anticipated to arrive to Amazon.com by October. Earlier would be even better, but when we have to depend on others’ schedules, we can’t promise anything. As of now, the timing is on-track and looking good. Thanks for your patience as we’ve sampled and re-sampled and re-sampled again in order to make these products spectacular.
3. Pre-orders. If you’re in the U.S., we can’t do pre-orders because our products are sold + distributed through Amazon and that’s not how they work. When the items arrive at Amazon is when you can order. Amazon is phenomenal at processing + shipping orders in record time. I will give you plenty of heads-up via facebook + twitter + here on my blog.
If you’re outside the U.S., most of you will have pre-ordering available to you beginning as early as this week. Those of you in New Zealand and Australia will want to check here and those of you in Canada and elsewhere should check here.
NOTE: If you are international, please be sure to pre-order what you want so these distributors can order sufficient quantities. If you don’t pre-order, there is no guarantee they will have product available for you. If money is tight right now but you have plans to purchase products in a couple months, it’s worth at least notifying/emailing the distributor with your intentions. This will help with their order quantities. We don’t want anyone feeling frustrated over sold-out products.
4. Products-at-a-Glance. Want to have all of these product pictures together in one place? For your convenience and reference, here is the Product Catalog for the Fall 2011 items. (Just be sure to click on the green Product Catalog to open that PDF.) Feel free to print it, dream up what you’re going to do with the new goodies, and mark it up. Of course we’ll share the updated catalog when we add specifics and images of the November stuff — including the new 2012 Project Life designs, etc.
5. New 2012 Project Life. Yes, I am about to share images of our two new editions soon. These items are due to arrive by November, so we’re getting very close to being able to let the cat out of the bag on all of that.
……….
I seriously am giddy about what’s coming. These are the tools — this is the system — that is going to help me (and you) get pictures into books. So many of you reading this are already doing Project Life. You get how solution-based and simple and easy it all is. Now you just have more options. Everything we do stays with that same philosophy: Simplify the process of documenting life.

AWESOME!!! Am super excited about the assorted photo pages, the dividers with label options, and the big envelope!! Can’t wait to see the new designs for PL 2012!!
What she said! I am off to pre order!
Stacey in Australia
Love it so far!!
love the big photo pocket page pack!
Wow, pretty exciting stuff happening hear. Love the new page protectors, those are awesome, we can change up our pages to whatever we like. Can’t wait to see the new kits.
Becky I would love to see an additional idea for digital PL.
When I finish my book, I would love to get a CD with it, that has a copy of all the photos I added in my PL. That way in years to come, my children could go and get an of those photos enlarged, copied, etc. It would be great to just have a pocket at the back of the book.
Thanks
What a fantastic idea Kristy! That would be perfect!
i love layout F too!! Can’t wait!
Awesome updates Becky! Thanks for listening to our comments/needs/suggestions. I am super excited and I can’t wait to see the new designs! Especially for the school/childhood! Yay!
Yay! Big Pocket envelopes! I loved them from the school years and baby kit. Thanks for listening to our requests. Can’t wait to buy them
Love it Becky! I am so excited to place my order. I’m really excited about the big pockets!
OMG so excited. So so excited!
So. so excited about these products coming. I waited too long kinda lagging because I have all black we r memory binders and I didn’t want the binder….so I’m SO excited you decided to do the stuff separate. Hope it’s coming soon!
Layout D! Layout F! Layout G! Want.
Getting really antsy, trying to patiently wait for the intro of the new designs!
Love the variety of page protector sizes and formats. The big pockets will be great for my school albums too.
Oh my oh my oh my…I can’t wait until this stuff is available to order. I want to get my hands on the Amber “core” contents & paper. I bought the binder but need the “stuff”. LOL! I’ve just spent the last 2 days organizing my photos & making sure I have everything in order, seeing what needs printed, etc. It may take me a couple of weeks or so but then I’ll be caught up for 2011. Wooohooo! I also LOVE LOVE LOVE all the different style page protectors….sooooo awesome. =)
Yippee! Exciting and happy news! LOVE the new photo pocket pages–love the flexibility these will provide! Can’t wait to see the new kits! Nice work Becky and team!
Hmmm, what a dilemma – complete the Australian Census form, or oogle over all the lovely new products and choose which ones I want….. hmmmm…..
Thanks for the awesome sneak peek Becky!!
Wow, so much to see. I love that big variatypack and the dividers.
To bad we, international buyers, have to wait untill December. But it makes a nice christmas present!
Sandra
I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am to start using your new school based scrapbooking album. I’ve held off on starting my son’s album (starting 2nd grade this year), partly from procrastination and partly because I knew this was coming. I can’t wait. I think I’ll also change over my daughter’s albums to this (she’s starting middle school.) A great BIG thank you from Iowa for creating this system!!
Looks great! I have a question though. I haven’t seen you mention anything about digital project life. Will there be new designs for that? If so, any timeline of when it will be out?
Are the core kits that will be available in October for 2011? Or can they be used for any year? I am assuming that when the 2012 kits become available, I would use the core kit that applies for 2012. I am new to Project Life, but I’m SO excited.
Looks like you did it again! AWESOME- love-love everything, Cant wait!
Very exciting!
I am so excited to get one!! Last year I simplified my photo-taking down to just scrapping a couple photos with a space for journaling. I discovered Project Life partway through the year and was hooked! I have been waiting anxiously because I plan on using it in 2012. I can’t wait!
SWEET! Cant wait!
Amazing as always, Becky! Thanks for the preview and thanks for working so hard to bring us products we love! I can’t wait!
Love the new photo protector pages especially design D and F!!!!! Even if I don’t do PRoject LIfe, I will definitely get these to use with my regular scrapbooking. Also, thank you for the heavy-duty 12×12 envelopes – I have been needing these for my kids’ childhood albums – have them for the school years from your previous kit but none for other stuff!!!!! Thanks so much.
The new products look great!! I can’t wait until October!
It’s amazing how Project Life has become a part of our everyday life!
These new products are AWESOME! I can’t wait!
Love it all!!! Cannot wait to order…I am SOOOO excited to try this out for the first time
)))
Thanks for the sneak peak, Becky!! Love it all…And those new page protectors are so cool!!
OH my goodness!! This just makes me want to go grab my album & add this weeks stuff to it! Love it all.
Love the new pocket pages and the fact that they have NO BUTTONS!I have your original school kit,but it is so hard to keep in a binder because of the buttons…now I can solve that problem!!!Can’t wait to see everything this fall!
This is great. I especially love the big envelope pages as I am always trying to figure out how to store art work and those type of things for my kids. The photo pages all look very characteristic of some of your scrapbook layouts that we’ve seen in the past. I absolutely love them.
Love the photo pockets – can’t wait for these to become available
Gosh, this is so exciting! I love the new page design options, I love the dividers, I love the options! I’m very much looking forward to seeing the new product releases soon. I plan on doing PL for the first time in 2012 to document our last few weeks as a family of 3, and the first few months of the life of our first child! I can’t wait!!
Love, love, love.
Thank you so much for all of the hard work you put in to getting us these outstanding products! I am so excited for October/November I could just explode!
love love love. will definitely dive into project life at the start of my 33rd year this october!
Looove all the new page protecters! Thank you so much for making our wishes come true Becky. I can’t wait to see the new kits, I’ve done seven pictures (or more)/week for 2008, 2009, 2010 and now most of 2011and will continue in 2012. This is my kind of scrapbooking and I just love it!
OOoooooo I love the new dividers, I can’t wait to get my hands on them. And the plain journaling cards. Woo hoo!
Love design D, such a better balance, and F—can just picture all my son’s baseball photos in it! Best of all the dividers with labels I can personalize. Really great products. And the envelopes—they will help me be patient for the school/childhood products!
I have a couple questions.
1. Has the quality improved especially in the albums? I’m throwing away my 2011 album because it just seems cheap.
2. Why buy your page protectors when other companies make the same thing? What is different about yours?
Just absolutely love all of the new designs and options! You are so incredible and I love how you listen to your “audience” and take everything into consideration as you continue to grow your product line. I’m currently using the 2010 design for a Washington DC book and have had to gather other page protectors to use for certain sections, so it will be great to get them all from one resource. Thanks so much Becky!!
Wow, these products look great!! Thank you so much for sharing. How you have come up with such a brilliant solution for us all is beyond me. And that we can pick and choose what we need – fantastic!!
I know you can’t see into the future, but am wondering on if you can comment on if these products will be available over the coming years in similar formats… My oldest just finished Preschool and is headed towards Kindergarten – so I’ll stock up on items I can use for a school kit. But the other two are a few years away from starting school. Should I stock up on “school kits” for them now, or will I be able to purchase these products in 2 and 4 years from now? Again, I know you can’t see into the future, but what’s your best guess?
Thanks!!
Maria
Eek! Can’t. Wait!
So are you saying we will have to purchase the page protectors separately? If they are not included in the price of the kit, then will the kit price go down?
Oh.my.goodness. Those new designs, especially for the vertical, are awesome! I really did not have a good time with the original vertical pages and was hoping this was coming. I LOVE the horizontal and vertical together! YAY!
This is my first year using Project Life, I wish I had found you sooner because I just love, love, love scrapbooking this way. And I love all your new page protectors, especially G, can’t wait for October to order!!!!!!
Can’t wait! Love all the updates :0)
I’m so excited for the odd-sized Design G sheet protectors. I love the look of a smaller sheet protector in the middle of the project life 12 x 12 pages when there is a special bunch of extra pictures I want to include for things like Christmas, birthdays, etc. Yeah!
Are you going to be creating a school kit. I would love ti if you are.
I’ve never done Project Life before -I’m actually just starting scrapbook digitally as well as traditionally- but I’ve heard so much great thing about it ( through PRT and The Digi Show podcast) that I would like to give it a try
I can wait until next kit become available !!!
Love the big envelope and the extra designs … The choices and versatility of the products spark imagination and enveil countless possibilities …
I’m following you on twitter with the added option to receive any news via SMS … so I won’t miss a thing from now on
Sincerely, fdgtgrl
Wahoo! I am not even finished filling up my 2 PL albums and I am ready to add the new ones. Can’t wait to see the new design for this year. Oh and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new page protector options. FAB-U- LOUS!
Love it so far! Can’t wait to see what’s coming!!
Trying to start a scrapbooking blog of my own, would love the support of you & your online following!!
Thanks!
I love all of it! Can’t wait to try out all the different page types!
I’m so excited! I have no idea what I’ll be choosing! I have some other pictures that need a place so maybe I do a variety with them! Loving all the options!
Completely awesome!
Design G – Now we’re talking!!
Thanks for the sneak peak – WOOT, WOOT!!!
Love, love, loving it all, can’t wait for it all to hit England. You have thought of everything! As always you have completely inspired me. Well done Becky, you are in a class of your own.
Do you ever plan on creating Project Life in 8.5×11? I switched over from 12×12′s years ago because the size is SO much easier for my kids, parents, grandparents etc. to handle.
You should check out ali edwards blog she did a week in the life scrapbook in 8.5×11. I think this idea would work for project life. You could still use journaling cards and supplies from project life. She also has ideas for project life as well. Hope this helps!!
I’m really enjoying the process of Project Life – this is my first year, we have no kids still at home but I love it. One suggestion that I remember seeing ages ago was a paper punch that fits the journal pockets, I’ve been inserting more and more different things into those pockets from pictures to memorabilia and I think having a punch to fit that pocket would probably be the best thing since sliced bread!!!!
I am in LOVE with all the new page protector designs! I can’t wait to see the new product designs you have coming.
I would love it if you came out with fabric in same prints that you use on the scrapbooking paper!!! I love, love the prints/designs!!!!!
journaling cards not available
Becky- Project Life is on my wish list for Christmas!! I can’t wait. I am committed to document going forward!! Thanks for all the great products.
I have never done a project life project before, but with all the new items I am definitely going to do a 2012! I love the new page protectors.
Love the new products so far! Thanks Becky (and David)! That page protector variety pack looks awesome!
Just 3 words to say Becky…
Goody, Goody, Goody!!!!
Ann G.
WOW…it feels like Project Life just got a whole lot more complicated with all the choices!! BUT I’m anxious to see the new designs…..
I’m seriously going to have to save up some money to buy a lot of this product. I loved Project 365 and Life. They make scrapping simple. Thank you for continuing with this line!
OMG!! Love the variety & options! Can not wait till October…counting the days : )
[...] or you own version (project christmas, spring break, school year, etc) you should totally check out Becky’s blog and catch a sneak peek of the new stuff that will be on sale in October. This stuff sells out [...]
I have been having so much fun with PL this year — it has really been the first time that I’ve kept up with documenting our day-to-day lives — I’m WAY behind in my “regular” scrapbooking.
Just a couple suggestions for additional products that would be really useful as tools to go along with PL (and which I’d gladly pay for!):
— a corner rounder that matches the corners on the title and other cards. It took me a long, long time to find one that was close and it’s still not exact.
– it would be awesome to have a punch the size of the journaling cards. As everybody has probably discovered it’s tricky to cut down photos or other elements exactly to that size, which is something like 2.8″x3.8″. My (project) life would be complete if I had a punch I could use to quickly size things perfectly and pop them into the page!
Thank you for dreaming up Project Life — it has really made memory-keeping feasible for me again!
Great suggestions!! Would love to have these too. Love PL and can’t wait to get my hands on the new stuff.
I love your ideas Dawn! I agree!
Yes a punch! That would be so great!
I am so excited…..We just got an email about pre-orders. I have just done my pre-order through your supplier Craft House in NZ for New Zealand and Australia for a lot of the new page protectors. I can not wait. I will wait and see what the new kits and albums look like and get those when they come out. I’ve ordered an Amber Kit as well. I am currently doing the digital project life so really looking forward to doing a hands on one. It’s so exciting because you have let us enhance our creativity with your wonderful product.
Thank you Becky. It’s pretty emotional for me about the possibility of capturing amazing memories for my children and future generations without it being daunting, too hard, too fumbly etc. If I was a bubble, I’d burst.
Kind regards,
Kristina in Brisbane, Australia
Becky are you going to offer the products in the core kit separately? That would be great if so! LOVE the new page protectors and can’t wait to see the new designs.

I don’t do the project life, but the page protectors work great for my geneology album! Those big envelopes are fabulous! Also, have you considered 5×7 page protectors? I have a lot of photos that are 5×7 in my geneology album and my scrapbook album. 5×7 protectors would be so helpful!
I am sssoooo excited for this, can’t wait to spend some money on project life! Saving up NOW for the childhood ones al well! Excellent idea!
GGGOOO BECKYYYY GGGOOOOO !
The perfect size punch is the best idea yet – I spend A LOT of time printing and making the photos the perfect same size, and then rounding all the corners too. I would be the first in line to order a punch like this for sure!
Wow. I have never been a ‘good’ scrapper, but PL has been working for my family and I! Looking forward to the different page protector designs and I think a punch would be fabulous. Fingers crossed!

How tall are the new binders? The current binders don’t fit into my bookself (Expedit from Ikea). Therefore I’ve been using binders from American Crafts. They are a bit “shorter”.
White, flat and big (2″) number stickers would be a ice addition to your line. I like to mark the number of each week into the title card.
I discovered project life a while ago and I am so into it that I think to start one too. But I have a question, will I be able to purchase the elements of the kit while I live in FRANCE? will I be able to pre-order what I need?
thisis an awesome project thanks for sharing this^^
